i have used this foundation for quiet long time so think i can give a bit of a fair opinion it is a very liquidy foundation, looks very greasy, has a small tube, however it did last quit some time, not greasy on the face( my skin tends to be oily in summer) but what i didnt like was the colour it has an orange tinge that made me look............ well........... orange and i m like nc20 or nc25.........but yes i would have bought it again if the color suited me better

I know many people don't like this foundation, but I liked it very much even compared to some pricey foundations I've been testing.
It's very liquid, some people complain it's too oily but I have to say: I have combined skin and suffered from acne spots during my teenage years, so I avoid oily products. Plus, I live in Rio, Brazil, and yes, when it's too hot (like, you know, 11 months/year), it can melt easily. I use a good powder after this foundation, it's a must-do. I don't know how it would behave in cool, dry places, but I believe it would be even better.
About the texture: it's liquid but it has an amazing coverage for me. The weirdest thing is that I'm an NC20-25 (I'll never find out, I gave up) and I bought Rosé Claire. It gives me an amazing skin tone. I just think people with very fair complexion (like Cate Blanchet, Evan Rachel Wood etc) would have problems finding a good color.
Overall, I recommend it.

Yes, this was very matt and quite lovely. Great finish, tube lasts forever. I'd say this is medium to high coverage. Smells like chocolate mousse! Problems are the lack of shades, the prevalence of pink tones and the runnyness. I bought two tubes of this and would repurchase again IF they broguht out more colours and tones.

I love this product. My skin is very light and it leaves me with a powdery sense when I apply it. I don't like the packaging, it gets messy after some time...

The only thing "Lovely" about this product is its packaging. It's really a horrible foundation. Worse than drugstore brands. Here's why. The tube gets messy when I squeeze out the product. Too much comes out most of the time, so I have to be extra careful. I think it's because the product is very runny. And it doesn't spread well on my face. It is also streaky/uneven and makes any flakiness visible. Coverage is light to medium, BUT looks unnatural. I recommend Clinique clarifying foundation cus it's a LOT better... better packaging, spreads much smoother and easier, looks natural and good coverage, better consistency, and keeps my skin matte without any powder touchups. It's only 0.7 oz, versus standard foundation size of one ounce. Bourjois is a drugstore brand in UK, so why pay higher price for that in the US? =(

So when i went to sephora the sales person picked this foundation for me. i'm asian but very fair skinned with a tiny bit of yellow tones. Apparently the sales rep must have been pretty bad cause she completely picked the wrong color for me. Not only is the color at times stark white, in other lighting it looks orange. The texture it just okay, nothing special. It spreads evenly but it looks pretty unnatural and definitely dangerous is you apply too much. I can't wait to buy a new foundation so i can stop using this one. The packaging is horrible. i close the bottle all the way but every single time i open it it's all spilled out into the cap. you can't even store this upside down. I've only ever owned two liquid foundations, my first was neutrogena and this was my second. Overall the look isn't natural and the color choices are limited. I just use this and mix it with my moisturizer to lighten it and let my natural color show cause otherwise i look completely cakey. I know there are better foundations out there, don't waste your money, save up and buy something better.

This is one of my favorite foundations. It is very powdery after you apply it on your face and evens my skin perfect. The shades are great and i always find the perfect shade for my skin. It was one of my dermatologist recommandation so i fallowed her advice. It rubbs off on everything, it is true...but when i want something that doesn't i go with a color stay foundation. This is still one of my favorites no matter what. I will buy this again.

It was just ok. It is pretty sheer so it doesn't look like I am wearing a lot of makeup. However, it rubs off on everything. I get shiny within an hour. Its really not matte at all. I don't mind this stuff, but its really not worth the price that you pay for it. Plus it is a tiny amount.

Good colour selection but it looks too caked up and powdery. Plus, within half an hour my skin was shiny and the make up had disappeared. Horrible waste of my cash.

I had received this as a sample with the shade being one darker. As a sample I really enjoyed it, I had only used it to test the texture, lasting power and the coverage (especially on my cheeks). I always look like I am blushing. So I ran down to Sephora and picked up the correct color. It is a really good match. At first it was like a godsend, it was exactly what I was looking for in a foundation, but sadly it has failed me. Oh the pain in disappointing foundation. The packaging is less than up to par. It seems like more product gets onto my counter than me! Even with a primer, finishing powder and fix + it still melts off. At first it evens out my skin and I look really good then bam! hour four comes around and it slides off. It does however, blend really well. For $21 USD its not worth the price. Definitely would not repurchase.

What I liked about it:
Besides its purse-friendly price, Bourjois has always been one of the most reliable drugstore brands out there, and that’s no coincidence since this is from the same manufacturer/company as Chanel. I like how even if I’m using a tad more than what I intended, it’s not so heavy on the skin. The color suits my skin very well too, and because of its handy small tube packaging, it’s ideal to tote around when I’m traveling (not often, but you know… just in case :D)
What I didn’t like about it:
For some reason, it didn’t sit well on my skin. I find that it wiped off easily when my face got oily and I used an oil film, even if I use a foundation primer. I also had to use twice as much loose powder to make the finish very smooth because it didn’t neatly cover my blemishes at all.
Will I buy this foundation again?
No, if I ever even finish it. I guess drugstore brand foundations just aren’t fine enough for my ultra-blemished skin.

This leaves me with the most poreless, perfect velvety skin texture and gets rid of any discolorations. My skin feels so smoothe and almost like satin. However, within seconds of applying it, I feel and look greasy. I'm really not sure why they geared this towards oily skin, b/c I'm very oily in my t-zone, but somewhat dry on my cheeks, and my entire face looked like a greasepit by midday. I actually think this hydrated my skin really well, so again, not sure who they were gearing this to. The scent is really overwhelming. I love the porcelain finish, but I just get way too greasy, which defeats the purpose, and the scent is really strong and offputting. Would not repurchase.

i used apricot which i think is the yellow based shades. still too beige for my SEasian tanned yellow skin. it goes on easily, blends well, looks fresh not caked. but not as oil abosrbing as i had hoped, and it broke me out (i'm sure - i've used it 3 times, and each time i have tiny cystic pimples ont eh places i used the product)... so too bad i can't use this as my 'cheap' alternative. it is also not that cheap - $23AU for 20mL ?! please.

I really really wanted to love this. PROS: perfect color match for my pale but yellow-undertoned skin; handy tube packaging; makes pores disappear; nice smooth finish - not too dewy, not too matte; good price. CONS: highlights every darn flake on my skin, does not stay matte for very long - even with powder. At best I got 4 hours of matt-ness which was hugely disappointing for a product that claims to mattify. So despite there being fewer cons than pros, these are major issues and are the reason I will not repurchase.

This product has some major pro's but also some major cons. Now I haven't tried a lot of foundations yet so I wouldn't call myself an expert. But if you have fair, oily and acne-prone skin like me, this review might be useful to you. First major con: lousy colour selection. The lightest shade only works with my summer skin, and even then it's actually a little too peachy for my cool skin tone (I solve this by applying a powder with a slightly different shade on top). Another con is the packaging: yes, the tube makes it easy to spill. It also doesn't blend into my pores quite as well as Nivea Matt Refine with Rice did; it definitely takes some practice applying it nicely. Major pro is that it doesn't seem to break my skin out (but I never use it, like, more than 3 days on a row), a problem that I did have with my Nivea foundation (which seems to clog pores while doing its job hiding them :p). I like the runny consistency and the sheer, not-too-matte finish. Makes skin appear smooth and soft and combined with a good powder it keeps oil at bay for at least a couple of hours. When my tan starts to fade I will have to start looking for a different foundation, but if I don't find anything better than next summer I'll come back to this.
EDIT: I didn't come back to this, the color was just too peachy and I think they've even discontinued this foundation by now.

This foundation offers medium buildable coverage and would cover minor skin discolorations.
It does not accentuate any breakouts that I have, has a wonderful powdery finish, and a lovely feminine scent.
It does hold for about 8 hours but when it gets really hot I find that the mattifying effect is no longer there. This is why I took one lippie off.
I pair it with the Pastel Teint powder and its perfect.
EDIT: Gets flakey on my face. I'm thinking maybe it's too drying for my skin. Won't repurchase due to the limited selection of shades.

I got this as a sample from Sephora. I just grabbed it and put it on one day when I was in a hurry to leave the house. What a nice surprise to find a matte makeup that I could almost rub in like a lotion. It blended so well that I am considering purchasing full sized version. The color in the sample pack was not too "off" either. it was 23 beige and I could probably use something a little less pink but it was not too bad at all.
The mattifying effect seemed to actually work. I think I covered it with my Prescriptives oil control powder.

This foundation is good stuff! It mattifies and evens out my skin, without feeling like a plaque of goo. Dries up pretty quickly, so allows for quick post-foundation powdering too. It could have been a tad more matte though, but maybe that's because my own skin is more shine than face. Very affordable price (10 EU!) and cute packaging for a foundation. Compact and handy too.
