i used this in high school and recently started using it again. it seems to keep me clear and it doesnt dry me out too much (unless im on yaz.) i do like this but im sure i could find something from the drugstore that works just a well for a lot less. i hate the beads in it- there's just to little to really exfoliate and i rather not have them in there anyway. if i dont find something better -ill probably rebuy.

I have the new improved formula. I tried the older version long time ago, and it dried out my skin. This new formula has scrubby particles, and the product itself feel like philosophy purity. It washes off well and doesnt dry out my skin. I keep one in the shower because it suds up really well, I even use it on my body wash after working out. I am a true believer of proactiv, and I use it everday, but one time a month, I need something stronger for hormonal acne, and continuously clear line really kicks in and clears out my skin, but I cant use it long term because my skin drys out too fast, therefore I return back to proactiv. Using proactiv three weeks in a month and Continuously clear for 1 week has really saved my face. No one line works for anyone thats why there are gazillion acne lines out there. You just have to find what combination of products work for you.

this cleanser is just OK for me - it's spendy, and you can likely find something comparable at the drug store for much less. i like the little scrubbing beads - they're gentle, and i exfoliate anyhow, but i like them in there. does a good job of clearing all makeup. smells fine - not a big deal there - and i have a sensitive sniffer.

it's just a good basic cleanser for folks with acne (since it has SA in it). but for the price, i won't buy again.

I am 30 years old. I have been struggling with Acne and oily skin since I can remember. I live in the humidity of Florida and am getting old enough to worry about aging on top of it all.

The SSC Continuously Clear Adult line (consiting of the Daily Ritual Cleanser w/ Salicylic Acid, the ClearzIt w/ Benzoil Peroxide and Tea Tree Oil, and the Moisture Replenishing Creme with Salicylic Acid) and is the first product line EVER to totally clear up my acne. And I have tried it all.

Thank God I read the reviews on HSN.com too. When I first started to use it, it dried me out super bad to the point of my skin feeling painful and raw. The previous reviews advised this might happen and to back off on frequency and to stick with. SO I took it down to once every other day. The rest of the time I used SSC A-Wash with Triple Peptides and the A-Force. With in a week my skin adjusted completely. No more pain or dryness at all. I now use the Cont. Clear line in the morning everyday and the A Line products at night. My skin has ZERO breakouts, even around my time of the month which is amazing!

I highly recommend.

Advice....to save on cost for any SSC product on HSN watch for Today's Specials and times when Jennifer Flaven Stallone is on the show. She will often offer specials with free S&H which will continue for the life of any Auto-Ship agreement. She also usually has big special sale kits that are WAY cheaper per item than buying individual items at regular price.

I love this product. I tried so many cleansers to clear up my face. This one did the trick. My face is so clear and soft. I don't have to PILE the makeup on to cover any zit. I have my son use it as well. It has cleared his face up nicely as long as I can get him to USE it. Great product for ANY age. Will continue to use. UPDATE *** 11/06/08 Ok I read a post on here that this face cleaner is the same as the Glycolic cleanser but with scrubing beads added. So I compared and it IS. SOOOOOOOOOOOOO I let the cleaner set on my dry face for a few minutes like is says to with the Glycolic cleanser and then washed with water. WOW what a differance. I felt the little itchy feeling you get when you know the glycolic acid is working. My face was soooooooo much smoother and cleaner. Then I use glycolic toner pads from avon form the Clearskin Acne professional kit they sell. Then I use the face loition it comes with. My skin looks AWSOME. Which i havent been able to say in YEARS. A few times a week BEFORE I do all of this I will do a castor oil- EVOO skin message first. It really helps make your skin glow and lighten up any discolorations. I have a brown spot I developed in my late 20's from taking antidepressants. It is on my cheek and WAS very noticable. But by using this face system my oily , acne pron skin is UNDER CONTROL. My brown spot has almost dissapeared. Now I don't have to use as much concealer to cover it.

I thought this was a good cleanser for normal skin which I have. I don't have acne, but ocassionally like to go through this skin care regime to clean out some blackheads. I think this is an excellent value when bought in a kit.

I have a very oily complexion, acne prone and my (huge) pores are easily clogged. I've been using Sage treatment (scrub, face shampoo, SPF25, 10% fix zit and MSSR mask) and they've been doing great! My face is a lot smoother! However, I found my Sage regime is too drying during the colder months, so I tried SSC. I bought the trial pack for both adult and youth and I found that the youth regimen is actually working much better for me (the moisturizer in the adult kit is too heavy for me - even during colder month). When I started using this cleanser, my skin is no longer tight nor dry, and I don't have clogged pores (which will happen if my skin doesn't agree to this product). This cleanser is in a creamy consistency, with beads in it - some sort of a really mild scrub. Just love it! I've now enrolled to the authoship, which is a cheaper way to get the kit, and I buy them whenever they have BOGO. I will continue buy this cleanser as long as it still works!

I've been using this cleaser for about a year now... I've recently noticed that it has stopped working for me. My T-zone is back to being incredibly oily and I'm starting to break out quite often again.... But when I first started using this it was great! I still love the exfoliating beads and the thicker texture. It really does make my skin feel super clean without that tight, drying feeling and doesn't leave behind any residue. It's a shame it isn't effective on my breakouts any more though, I really do LOVE this stuff!!

I love this cleanser, it really helps control my breakouts almost completely since I have been using it. I am in my early 30's W/ combo skin type and it does not dry me out at all, simply because I found that using it once a day was best for me. I don't use it as a makeup remover,I use a seperate foaming cleanser for that. This to me is more of a scrub or a treatment product.

I got this as part of a kit and I must say that I love it! I was a bit hesitant because this cleanser contains beads [to further exfoliate your skin] but I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't scratch my skin etc...as a rule, I only use SSC products and I use either the Glycolic Cleanser or the Clear Wash [haven't tried the A or C line cleansers]...SSC cleansers are a bit expensive if bought on their own but if you get them in a kit, that's your best value...my skin remains clear so you can't put a price tag on that!

I got this from HSN as part of a 3 piece acne system (which they no longer offer... gee, I wonder why?).

Well, I have oily skin and get some pimples now and again. Jennifer Flavone swore by this as if it were a miracle, so I ordered it. It was wayyyy to drying. I thought that maybe my skin needed to adjust, or that maybe I needed to just use the cleanser and nothing else. But my skin was super dry, flakey, and painful. And those of you who have acne know that drying out the skin makes the acne flare up. So, this cleanser actually made my skin worse.

I like to use this on my shoulders, back and legs more than my face. It is a below average - average AHA cleanser lathers well, and doesn't smell offensive or fragranced. It leaves my skin feeling almost uncomfortably tight but soft.
It doesn't do the best job of removing makeup especially mascaras, and personally I do not like to scrub my eyes. (It does say use caution around eye area) Why would I want to use a cleanser that doesn't cleanse though? There are other products that can do what this simple product does, only better
It seems to be packed pretty full of aloe, that is that "slimey" clingy texture you see in the product. I like it, but I like other things much much better (Sage and Cetaphil)

I love this cleanser. I have oily acne prone skin and this cleanser is awesome. I use it all over my body and always buy the 12oz size on eBay or if it is in a kit. However, I would buy it alone for 36.50 in that I like it that much. I keep this in my bathtub and won't be without it.

I love this cleanser. Like others have stated, I don't wash my makeup off with this. I use Aproicot Scrub before I use this, and I've had excellent results. I've had acne for years, and finally I'm getting clear!

Love this line... the cleanser is great (it's NOT a makeup remover) but if you have seriously oily skin (like I do) this is a nice cleanser

I really wanted this to work. I had heard wonderful things about it and know several people who had great results with it. This did not work for me at all and may have made my breakouts worse. I have combination skin with constant painful breakouts, mostly on my chin and mouth area. This is the salicylic acid wash with the beads in it. It is expensive and the bottle is difficult to squeeze (this was a smaller size, larger sizes have a pump). It left my dry areas feeling drier and my pimples got bigger and more painful. This seems to work well for people with adolescent acne, but not on my adult acne. This did not work any better than phisoderm or clean and clear and costs much more. I will not use this again.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE STUFF! DO NOT BUY! I bought the whole continuoulsy clear system and it made my face a mess. I have oily skin and kept getting persistent acne on my chin and forehead. Thought I give this a try because it was a good price. Within a week my face broke out all over. I thought that was a normal reaction to something new. Continued it for another week. My face started burning, became very red and dry it was so painful. Got off it and went on Retin A within 2 weeks my face cleared. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY ONE!

I haven't had a breakout with this so far (and it's actually cleared me up!) so I guess it's good stuff. It just irks me that I have to use a seperate eye makeup remover (sigh)...my other cleanser took it all off. Then again, I had zits with the other cleanser.
Small price to pay for clear skin, I suppose.

I really like this as a morning cleanser (I use the glycolic cleanser at night.) It's one of the few scrubs that don't irritate my sensitive skin but that cleanses very well. During the past month that I've used this, I did have the pump clog up but quick work w/ a toothpick from below the pump quickly solved the problem. It hasn't clogged since. I plan to repurchase.
