This product was just ok, I found that it took me a lot of product to really saturate my hair. This made my hair really dry, & I found that I had to use a really moisturizing conditioner afterwords. A friend gave me a couple of bottles of this to try out, so after I use the next bottle I most likely I won't be repurchasing this item.

I use this product to cover up my white/gray hairs in between dying. I leave it on for about 5-7 minutes and I think it works great! It makes my white hairs look light brown and they blend in more with the rest of my medium brown hair. It doesn't dry out my hair or leave any greasy residue. It does leave a fairly strong smell in your hair, but I like the smell (I think it's a little like coconut). I would recommend it to others who also want to cover up a few gray hairs :)

One of the best hair products I have ever used. Turned my frizz into luscious, super shiny beach waves. I even gave a bottle to a friend with wavy hair and she loved it, too.
Smells like chemicals and leaves the hair very dry. I wouldn't recommend using this more than once a week. Even shines up color treated hair!

I never really saw a difference in my hair while using this product, all it really did was stain the grout in the shower.

No. Oh no, no, no, no, no. Non, nyet, nein, negatory. This is not the product for me.
Washed w/poo, put on the JF Glaze, waited 5 minutes, rinsed, used conditioner just on the ends, let it dry. Or wait. *Is* it dry? Because I mean it just looks so wet.
And limp and gross...Honestly, the last time I had my hands near something this greasy, I was preparing to drop coated chicken pieces into it.
Bear in mind that I have very fine hair. But seriously. Not being into the 1920s mobster look, I would not buy again. And yes, my lovelies. I rinsed very very well. :)

I tried this a few times in high school. For prom one year, I got an actual glaze/gloss done at a salon, and my hair had never looked so shiny, vibrant and beautiful before! So, I've been chasing that shine ever since, trying every product I can find that has gloss or glaze on it...out of all of them, this is one of the worst. It has a thick, hard to grasp jelly-like consistency, the bottle is unmanageable in the shower, and the results are nil. Don't waste your money on this, just buy Clairol's Radiance Colorgloss from Sally's. Much better product for around the same price.

While I don't find this product to be utterly horrible like some other reviewers, I didn't really notice anything different, certainly not a "luminous glaze" on my hair after using this. I love the Go Lighter Blond JF products and can tell a difference in my hair from using them, but will not be buying this again.

I got this in the clear glaze, and it didn't make my hair any shinier than before. Actually, it didn't do a single thing to my hair other than make it smell nice (the smell is the nicest aspect of this). I didn't notice any extra shine, or softness, anything. Granted, it didn't have any negative effects either (drying, etc). Will not be repurchasing.

I absolutely love this product and if it is used exactly like it states on the bottle, it leaves such a nice shine on your hair, especially between dye jobs. It is not brassy, doesn't make your hair look like a 60 year old and I get compliments all of the time by all of the young teenagers and 20 somethings at church on the shine and color of my hair with this product. The only minus is that I think they are no longer making it as I can't find it anywhere. Where are people purchasing it. I can't find it at Wal-Mart, CVS nor Walgreens. Any purchase info would be appreciated. I am all out.

I'm surprised to hear all the bad reviews about this product. I have to say it doesn't make your hair soft, it does however make it look very shiny (as in you just had your hair dyed in a salon) and very sleek (like you had a blow dry in a salon without having it done in a salon). About my hair: I have a lot of hair but with thin strands and dry ends that tends to frizz. For this type of hair, this product gives a lot of volume AND a frizz free, shiny look as opposed to very moisturizing products that makes your hair feel soft and shiny but weighs down. Overall I'd recommend it to anyone that loved the "just got out of the salon" look.

This review is for the clear glaze/ for all hair colors and not the glaze specifically for either reds, brunettes or blondes. I chose to do the weekly treatment, which is left on for 20 minutes and then shampoo and condition. The daily treatment suggests shampooing the hair and then putting in the glaze for 3-5 minutes, rinsing and later conditioning. This gave me a natural shine, my color faded and this made it looked a few weeks younger/fresher. This will not make your hair shiny like a model advertising a hair product. I think this is meant to "help" enhance your color and make it look more healthy-- this is not meant to give you a light color service, which I am referring to the red and brown glazes. Overall, this did not dry out my hair or make it feel hard as others claimed. I think too many people had very high expectations for this, which is why there are so many bad reviews for this. But no, I would not repurchase it. This did not wow me enough to spend about $10 again on this.

I don't want to be rude, but I think many of these negative reviews must be using this product the wrong way or something. I use it just as the directions instruct, I apply it after shampooing and rinsing. Then I leave it on for 5+ minutes while I shower and shave, and then I rinse it out completely. It does NOT make my hair hard or "krispy" at all, rather it makes my hair feel very soft, much like a leave-in conditioner. I use the Luminous Glaze for redheads and it does add shine and vibrancy to my hair. I even got a compliment once on my hair looking so "bright" after I used this product. I love this product and I hate to see so many negative reviews for it. When used as I have described, it works wonderfully. I will repurchase and I highly recommend this product to everyone!

I LOVE this product for my straight hair! Adds so much shine--I use the clear. I hope they never stop making this one! Do agree that a bit of conditioner applied to ends of hair helps with smoothness but I have very long hair. I love it and repurchase frequently!

This is the worst John Freida product ever! My hair feels so awful after using it. It is hard to even run my fingers through my hair while applying the product because it makes my hair feel so tangly and dry. A true waste of $$. So disappointed. I can't believe they still sell this - it's that bad.....

Worst product I have ever used on my hair! Please beware! I had a hard time reading the review below, but I completely agree with her term "Krispy-style" and I laughed out loud because I completely understand. This is exactly how my hair felt after using this product. My hair is very soft and bouncy down my waist, and for some reason, this left my hair completely dry, hard and stick-straight, or like the reviewer below said "krispy-style." Would never recommend this product, and I see that a lot of other reviewers feel the same way. Do not be fooled by it's enticing name "Luminous color glaze," and just keep walking down that isle and pick something else.

I like this product, I feel it adds additional shine. It does make your hair feel dry when you use it almost daily after you rinse your conditioner, but I have been adding a little of it to my conditioner at the same time and rinsing all together and I feel this works great.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Sensitive, Medium Hair: Brown Eyes: Green
Doesn't work. End of story. Come to think about it- I have NEVER had any luck with JF products. Period.
Age: 30-35 Skin: Sensitive, Fair-Medium Hair: Red Eyes: Brown
I've used this product in Red and Brunette depending on my hair color at the time. In red I noticed absolutely no effect at all. The Brunette muddied my hair instead of making it shiny and made the color look lighter. I wasn't impressed with either product. The gloss does make your hair feel soft and reduces frizz. Might me worth while if you aren't looking to keep up color and just use the clear for shine.
