Like other reviewers have said, this gloss is a gorgeous nude with copper, beige and brown undertones. It's the perfect nude lip color on me which is great paired with smokey eyes, yet also looks great with a simple, no mu look. Perfect worn with both UD Naked 1 & 2 e/s palettes.

One of my go-to glosses..On my 3rd tube. Beautiful nude color. I get so many compliments when I wear this gloss; it shows up as a shimmery, neutral nude, but somehow very pigmented. I love doing this gloss with a smokey eye. Works everytimes. For ref: NC50/NW45-ish

I have this in the duo with a red lip-stain ... why red? I have NO idea! but this color is that perfect sexy sweet nude , not nude look . It has a little shimmer , a little glimmer , and it is sexy all day .
you can pair it with the smokey eye , a nude eye or a dramatic eye and it will look great , HIGHLY recommended

BEAUTIFUL. This is a great slightly-more-than-nude color on me. My lips are a natural pinkish-brown, and sandpiper gives me a little more of a bronzed color with shimmer. Even now in the winter when I have paled out to a NW20ish, add this and a little bronzer and I look healthy again! lol This may easily become my HG lipgloss. Love it!

In the mood for nude!

NARS Sandpiper where have you been all of my life! LOL! This lipgloss is so pretty on my NC 50 caramel complexion.(I learned about it in the April '11 issue of Essence with J. Hudson on the cover). It's perfect with whatever eyeshadow or blush I decide to wear. The pink/caramel undertone and the mild shimmer really compliments me. I would definitely repurchase, unless I happen to find a less expensive nude alternative/dupe.

A must have for brown/tanned ladies!

I love this lipgloss! It is a beautiful light bronze shade. I am a MAC NC15 with red hair and the color is fantastic. Most bronzy lipglosses can be too dark but this is almost a sheer nude bronze. NARS lipgloss pigment is great and the formula has great lasting power on my lips. I will definitaly continue to purchase once this tube is gone.

Like others here, I love this lip gloss. Good pigment - beautiful shimmer. Great all round nude everyday gloss. I just have to keep wrestling it from my daughter. This is now my HG nude lip gloss. Now I just have to find my HG rosy lip gloss.

Sandpiper is a pretty shade of pinky-bronze with fine gold shimmer. Looks great with my olive-tan skin tone. The only thing I don’t like about this gloss is that it’s slightly drying—I have to put on a generous amount of balm beforehand. I wear Sandpiper often and would definitely buy it again.

LIP GLOSS LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!!!!

This gloss is the perfect combination of brown, a hint of pink with golden undertones. I have searched high and low for the perfect nude gloss and my search is definitely over. Many other glosses always seemed to wash me out but this color brings out the warmth of my skin tone. I will definitely purchase this product again and again.

PRO's
*Texture -goes on smooth, stays on smooth -no flaking -Love this about NARS LG's
*Good neutral color for office/casual/nude look (my lips are mildly pigmented)
*Product does not seep out of tube
*Fair to good staying power for a LG (Other LG's I've tried with more staying power sacrfice the texture and end up flaking)
CON's
*None.
NOTES: Not a fault of the product, but I would not buy again due to price and new interest in greener makeup. Otherwise, I would recommend this, it is a good product overall if you don't mind the price.

Always in search of a versatile neutral lip color with a little bit of a pop and despite a drawer full of 'em, this continues to be my go-to. I'm NW25 and don't have the easiest natural lip color to work with. This looks really boring in the Nars display but when I tested it on my hand, it had unexpected tone and depth.
Two things make this a great product: a) the base neutral has enough pink, peach and beige to work with, rather than against, lip coloring (and probably makes it compatible with lots of skin tones) and b) the shimmer adds depth, which is missing in so many other neutrals. I use this by itself frequently, particularly in the summer. Also use it over various nude lipsticks that are boring otherwise. I gave it 4 rather than 5 because the lighter Nars glosses tend not to last too long and it requires constant reapplication. I'd love to see them make a lipstick version of this.

I am Asian with warm golden undertone.
Pro's:
1) Love this color - slightly nude to caramel/pink w/ gold flecks and looks great alone on my skin tone
2) Works as a gloss should work - moisturizing but NOT sticky.
3) Works great over my cheap drug store brown lip liner if I want more color...gives a glossy soft brown-pink color. And does NOT peel/dry in doing so like w/ other brands that I've tried over my liners.
4) NOT overly glittery
Con's:
None. Some would say the price - but I am willing to pay for good quality that MULTI-TASKS in moisturizing, adding some appropriate neutral color for casual/work, and can be worn easily over my lip liner for more color. Also, though it's not long-lasting, I'd rather just deal w/ the reapplying than deal w/ the over-drying that I get w/ long-lasting glosses.

Colourings: Latina golden brown tan coloring-warn undertones.

I love the consistancy of NARS glosses. They are also one of the few brands I am NOT allergic to! Many of them make my lips peel but Nars lipsticks and gloses are super mosturizing and for that alone are worth the hefty price tag. They are also one of the few companies whsoe colors really span the range of skin tones and I am able to wear all of their products with mycomplexion which is usually difficult to match in other brands.

The color itself is a gorgeous caramely pink nude with a touch of metallic gold to it that toens down my deply pigmented lips. It's not too shimemry for day wear. I wear it alone when I do a smokey eye look, but it can also be worn over nude/brown lipsticks and looks gorgeous. i get complimented all the time. In one of my photos I am actually wearing it over Revlon lipstick in plumsable.

The one complaint I have is that if my lips are not super soft and smooth, the gloss seems to sit on top of my lips rather than blend in. Less is more with this gloss.

I don't own too many Nars lipglosses, but this one seems to be one of my favourites, along with Giza and Tempest. It seems to compliment my GGG warm toned complexion very well. I have pigmented lips and Sandpiper shows up as rosey-light brown shade on me. Perfect for times, when I want a more nude looking lip. I took one lippie off for the lasting power. Nars glosses don't last as long on my lips like some of my other favourite lipgloss brands, Chanel and BB.

This is a nice pinky brown shade with a bit of shimmer. It works well for my skin (Stila 50 watts) and is quite pigmented so I just wear it on its own.

Update: As of 7/25/08 Trucco Honey Lips tops Sandpiper hands down. Ladies, especially light brown ladies, if you want a PERFECT shade of golden brown to compliment your bronzed skin, you must try Trucco Honey Lips. Sandpiper is pretty but it has peach and pink in it. HL is all brown, like a Sienna Brown and it smells DIVINE. Unlike Sandpiper, I don't feel the need to add any other colors to it to punch it up. Trucco is my new favorite.

SANDPIPER is an awesome, neutral, brown color. It has a very slight hint or peach/pink AND NO SPARKLE, just shimmer! I added a dab of Mac Copper pigment to the middle of my bottm lip after applying sandpiper and it looks absolutely gorgeous.Sandpiper is nice because it has no sparkle or glitter; only shine. It is sophisticated but again can be layered or altered with a pigment or even Nars MoonFleet which adds glitter and sparkle. The texture of sandpiper is smooth and thick. This color is stunning for every day and can be worn with a smokey eye or a lighter, peach makeup-themed face (if that makes sense.) I think I will wear this for years to come. I am a NC35 with light brown skin, brown eyes, dark hair.

Sandpiper is a lovely amber/caramel brown shade with fine gold shimmer. It is a warm shade but it is not too coppery, so it doesn’t look orangey against my fair cool-toned skin. Adds a lot of shine to lips. Looks great over nude lipsticks. It has good lasting power for a lip gloss. Great texture – smooth, not sticky or goopy. And I love the fun rubbery packaging. Really easy to wear… a nice everyday lip gloss for the summer. I might repurchase… it’s nice to own but not a must-have product for me. Probably a dupe-able shade. So only four stars instead of five.

Beautiful shimmering copper with less orange...more of a brownish amber really. Like Blonde Venus w/ gold sparkles. Very shiney and LASTS FOREVER. Not sticky at all. Perfect texture, thick but not too thick. Right amount of sparkle. Looks great on, and is just pretty...not much else to say.

Described as shimmering amber coral. I read on the boards once that BB had a shimmering l/g that was a dupe for it. I'll stick to this gloss as I've read complaints about BB's lip brush i.e. splaying. I'm warm and yellow and this works wonderfully on my complexion. Not bright or crazy just a pretty neutral that goes w/ a lot for me. Very basic. I like nars l/g although this is my only one. I prefer glossimers first and foremost since they are the least sticky. Nars are somewhat sticky but not nearly as bad that way compared to MAC. I don't mind the scent/taste at all but I'm not picky as far as that goes.
