I'm swapping for a backup of this because it's neutral perfection on me. I'm one of those strange warm ppl who can't wear warm e/s. If I wear brown it has to be a cool brown. This is perfection of cool, plummy brown, taupey loveliness with champagne to highlight. It's shimmery and superwearable for everyday. I love these shades together - it's a nobrainer for me, which I love *hates to think*. Also, call me crazy but why does this get a 4.0 and only 46% would buy again? That makes no sense...almost everyone who reviewed this seems to like it. *shrugs*

Love this e/s trio! There's a pale shimmery eggshell with just a touch of pale pink tones, a medium shimmering brown (not unlike puck but with more shimmer) and then a light shimmering eggplant/mauve colour. It's such a great trio. Blends well, stays on well, looks gorgeous with pinky-peach cheeks & lips. It's too bad it was limited edition because I would re-purchase in a second.

I was very fortunate to get this as a gift and I'm glad I did because I wouldn't have purchased it otherwise. Its a nice 'neutral' palette. Now, I know most girls (including myself) think of neutral shadows as browns and taupes but I would consider this a neutral as well because the colours are softly muted.
Rain Showers tends to be on the cool side but I consider myself a warm-toned person and it works well for me. This palette is in the purple family with gray/silver undertones. You have to be very careful with the lightest colour because it has the tendency to get frosty.
I wear this trio with my MAC Fluidline in Lithograph and it just looks awesome! Lithograph really makes the shadows pop!
Ok, like the rest of the reviewers, I think the packaging sucks! Its a cute canvas material but soooo unpractical for those girls who like to travel with their makeup. The case will get dirty in no time. But of course, like most Stila packaging, it's totally adorable.
I won't be repurchasing this because its LE and also I don't wear it enough so I will never ever finish it. I'm glad its in my train case and I do enjoy wearing it but honestly if it wasn't a gift I would have never purchased it.

I love grey-plummy-taupes and this trio is great. The lightest shade is a bit too frosty for me, so I have to apply carefully, but I love the middle and darkest shades. They are sheer and subtle, which I like. This trio looks nice with the Smokey Quartz Kajal eyeliner (charcoal grey), pale pink blush, and a pink/mauve lip. I own the Iced Plums palette as well, but that seems to me warmer and with more burgandy-plum-taupe colors, so I like having both sets. I am not crazy about the light canvas packaging (and the pointless mirror!) though. Like others, I really enjoy wearing this on rainy days.

I love this eyeshadow trio. I personally hate anything purple on my eyes cuz they just don't look good on me so the 1st time I saw this color I totally passed and got the Sun Shower one instead cuz I like more Bronze and Brown tone. But, then I went back another day and asked the sales there to try the Rain Shower on for me. It just looks gorgeous. It's not too dramatic purple but it's light purple plum with lots of shimmer so it's very wearable days and nights. I also love the packaging cuz it's very cute but I just don't like the fun house mirror. The only thing is the lightest color, kinda white or tan color, the sales recommended me to put it on my browbone but when I did, it looks too white, so I can only apply very few. Also, you have to learn how to apply this trio color very well to make it looks beautiful on your eyes. But it's a recommended product for someone who doesn't like purple color like me but want to try some and add in your collection. Trust me, this one is very natural.

I really wanted to love this. The colors are lovely and complemented my blue eyes beautifully, but they're just too frosty, or maybe I'm just too old. Probably the latter. I usually love Stila eye shadows and generally find the shimmer level to be quite wearable, even on my 45-year-old eyes. It seems to be just these shades in particular that crossed the line between soft and glowy and crepe-accentuating frosty.
Others have described the colors well so I won't repeat, but I will say that Neutrogena's new Mineral Sheers duo in Clay is a great substitute for this. Similar shades with a much lower shimmer quotient make them far more flattering on me, and at a fraction of the price of the Stila. Up for swap it goes, but I'll hang on to the rest of my Stila shadows.

I love these shadows. I love the packaging....well I HATE the fun house mirror on the inside but everything else is spot on. I have to say that I think these are the perfect colors for my eyes. I can layer and layer and layer them and they still look fantastic. With 3 shadows I can get a really easy, laid back look or I can get a full on glam look. I love that. With other brands of shadow I tried it seems like the more you use the worse it looks but these Stila shadows are heaven. Smooth almost silk like. Im hooked on this palette. I haven't purchased a back up because I can't see myself using it all up, I've never finished anything. I bought this on a whim, everyone had been talking about it so when I was in Sephora picking up some new brushes, I walked past it, glanced at and tossed it my basket. I never do that. I normally don't have an extra 30 bucks to just grab an impluse buy, lucky for me this time I did. I can't say enough about this palette. Makes me love doing my eye shadow. Now go get one!

It's looks really pretty, gorgious in the pan but when apply on it has slightly pigment and look really neutral pink brown rather than plum. but I expect more pigmentaion and more of plum hue :( Staying power is typical stila, which is pretty good. The darkest shade is a very sheer brown with a hint of pink, the middle goes on light taupe and the lightest is very good for inner coner. The package is cute as always. (i'm 30-40 watt, asian, black hair and eyes)

I do not have any of the similar colors other reviewers were referring to, and I also have very little in the purple/plum areas of the color spectrum. I found that the colors show up nicely on my greenish/hazel eyes. The shadows are silky, but I layered them on with Urban Decay's Primer Potion and that helped bring out the colors. For those of you with darker complexions might not find the colors to show up well. Although, the highlight color would probably look nice on you! I do agree that they aren't as pigmented, but more subtle

I ended up swapping mine away because the colors didn't suit me at all. They are very neutral-looking in the palette (soft mauvey-brown, medium tan, beigey cream) but looked flat and overly shimmery on my lids. They also were a bit cooler than expected (they looked like they'd be a bit warmer than neutral, really). The eyeshadows are typical Stila quality and housed in cute (though not really my cup of tea) packaging but would not repurchase.

THese palettes from Stila are simply stunning in the compact. Its a shame the colors arent as pigmented on the lids. Its a very soft shimmery light pink, a shimmery lid color in a taupey lilac and a shimmery crease/liner shade in a shimmery taupery purple. Colors are gorgeous in the pan. however, when i apply these they are so sheer. Its slightly more pigmented than the Sun Showers palette though. I do see that this is similiar to Capri and Summer Shades trios, but its slightly lighter with a hint more taupey color to it. Also comes in a crappy white fabric compact that is already dirty. Retails for $30. Pretty to look at but the color payout is lacking. I find it helps to use a color coordinating base (like MAC mauvism or Clinique plum glisten) to get the shadows to really show up. Great with Stila amethyst smudge pot as a liner or clinique starry plum liner. The shadows look great with my brown eyes.

I bought this because, as usual, I was suckered in by Stila's adorable packaging. And I thought the colors would be very wearable for me, as I generally gravitate towards plums anyway. I was disappointed to find that these colors are virtually identical to the Iced Plums set that was released for the holidays. These *might* be a tad cooler, but not much, and truthfully, I haven't used them and will probably send them back just because they're so similar to Iced Plums, which I already have. Too bad--the compact is so cute!

I saw this in Nordstrom and thought it was such a beautiful, wearable trio. The lightest color is like a less peachy, more beige Kitten. The middle shade was a cross between Cloud and Grace. And the darkest shade reminded me of Viola. The linen packaging leaves some to be desired, as it will get dirty very easily. Anyhow, I bought it right away. When I got home, I discovered that it is virtually identical to the Capri Trio. So, I returned it. A great set if you don't have the Capri Trio.
Also, the Sun Shower Trio is similar to the Summer Shades Trio. The Summer Shades Trio is a touch more bronze, though. I don't think they are distinct enough to warrant buying both.
