OPI's Valen-time for Love is a shimmery hot pink with a blue/lavender flash in certain lighting. It's a beautiful color but not for the shy. It definitely says, "Heeeere's my NAILS!!" The application was absolutely perfect - smooth, no bubbles, no streaks - and looked like GLASS when I was finished. The color was totally opaque in two coats but I used three. Dry time was very quick (even without Seche Vite) and the wear was wonderful - no chips or cracks at six days. I could have left it on longer but I only wear any one color for a week at most. I noted that I would buy this again (and I would if I ran out) but I also have Pompeii Purple which is very similar. I knocked off one lippie only because it's not a go-to color for me but I do love it.

Beautiful cherry-pink color with shimmer. Not pink and not red, but more of a mixture of the two ... kind of like a watermelon color. It looks red in the bottle but goes on nails as a beautiful shimmery pink-red color. 5 lippies!

Not sure why I bought this very cool-toned polish. I guess it just looked too pretty to pass up! Anyway, it's a hot pink with a brilliant fuchsia flash. Gorgeous on a cool-toned gal—but not on me.

One of my favorite colours to date.....beautiful hot pink with a fuschia flash. On summer toes it is amazing to look at.....and it always looks great on tips. It's bright, but it's not crazy look-who's-trying-to-be-all-trendy bright. Application is perfect, as with all OPI polishes that I have had. No streaking, wore for 5 days with just a teeny bit of wear at the tips, but no chipping at all. Definite repurchase.

Whoo-hoo! A flaming hot pink with a hint of shimmer. I say hint because the color itself is so bold that it's hard to notice anything else. A cool toned hot hot pink is the best description, very pretty but this color is not shy!

This is an insanely bright fushia with a purple flash. I wouldn't call it Barbie Pink exactly, because it's so vivid. If I put it on my nails, I find myself thoroughly distracted by its obsence color. This is probably better for night time fun wear, other wise you will be distracted.

LOVE this! I can see the comparison to OPI Pompeii Purple, but I really feel that the more intense pink makes this a bit more wearable and pretty. A great new must-have OPI shade... too much for me personally to wear on tips, but a fabulous pedi color.

Awesome color! This is similar to OPI Pompeii Purple, but its more pink. Its great for us cool-toned gals that light bright, summery shades. It has a blue iridescence and it super-shiny! Love it!

Fantastic color for my cool-tone PPP toes! Valen-time is a hot pink that isn't too blue-tone, but has a purple-blue shimmer. The overall look is shiny, hot, fun, and totally girly. I can see myself wearing this a lot in spring and summer. Love it. I may bump this to a 5, but I'm trying show some restraint with my ratings.

If Legally Blonde's Elle Woods were looking for a Valentine Day-themed polish, this would be it. Similar in shade to Elle's courtroom outfit as well as OPI's Pompeii Purple (PP), this is a decidely girly and fun shade of hot & shimmery fuschia-pink for Valentine's Day toes (a bit too bright for my liking for tips). Compared to PP, they are very similar bottle-to-bottle, however on the nail, Valen-time for Love is more pink, has less of a purple base and the blue flash of PP isn't as evident. I really, really like PP, but for my warm, lightly-tanned skin tone, I love Valen-time for Love.

This is a bright cool-toned fuschia pink with a slightly shimmery finish. It's a very Barbie-ish color. Right now my skin is pretty tan so this works really well but I don't know if I would like it as much if I were paler. Really fun to wear on toes, especially after wearing darker colors all winter long. OPI released this for Valentine's Day 2006 (with Be Mine! and I'm Yours!).
