This is one of those products which makes me wonder how many of the reviews and articles on the internet have been written by the manufacturer.
Don't get me wrong, it's a fine product that's worth using, but it is not greatly different from other proper* exfoliators I've tried, plus there's a little red flag popping up for me about the indie company who makes it. I don't quite trust them. I bought direct and had the most horrible customer service experience which made me question their integrity across the board. Their before and after pictures are also poor quality and questionable.
(*By 'proper' I mean ones with actual fine gritty bits in it, as opposed to those ridiculous little soft balls of plasticy material which do nothing at all to exfoliate.)
Anyway, the product itself contains very fine, very gritty material which seems to do a good job of exfoliating without causing undue irritation. It's worth it for that. I just would take all of the 'miracle' talk coming from the owner of the business with a hefty bag of salt, and be careful who you order from.

Clearly the best mechanical scrub around in my view. I started using this a couple of years ago then moved on to other scrubs to finally go back to it as I found that nothing beat it.

My skin is pretty good, with no real damage so I don't know how effective it would be on skin that has severe acne/scarring but at my level (little bits of hyperpigmentation and a few blemishes), it is great. My skin is now even toned, smooth and glowing.

To be used daily though, as microdermabrasion rather than just a scrub, in order to get evident results.

Packaging needs to be completely reviewed - the jar format is a haven for bacteria...

I found out about this product thanks to makeupalley! I was dealing with textured and blotchy skin when I decided to give it a try. The jar itself is pretty nice but I wish the product were dispensed differently so contamination would not be a problem. To make up for this I use a tiny spatula (received from Garden of Wisdom with one of their scrubs). I was amazed at how well this scrub worked for my skin. It literally smoothed out my complexion and minimized post-acne marks and pigmentation. I've tried a lot of scrubs and this one is by far superior to all.
I use a tiny amount and spread some on my forehead and cheeks. Then I gently scrub for the recommended 30 seconds on problems areas. At first it does cause some redness by it subsides in a few minutes. It rinses pretty clean despite the oils in it and does not leave my face tight or dry but comfortable and soft. And I only use it at night. I tried using it in the mornings, but I think it was too much exfoliation and I actually broke out. After that I used it only at nighttime and it slowly but surely cleared up my breakouts and smoothed out minor scarring.

This stuff is amazing , I have shallow scars(which I had after co2 fractional laser ) And I can see those ugly scars fading . Or the least they can be hidden by regular foundation. I had a dull skin and some red spots which are all gone now . The only problem it makes me breakout some times but I will keep using it untill I get rid of my scars. Acne isn't my main problem now ,And my breakouts aren't that bad , Just a tiny whiteheads.

Good basic scrub. It reminds me l'Oreal dermabrasion scrub which is still my favorite.
The Epidermx has a runny texture and seems to be quite gentle to skin.
It didn't make a big difference to my appearance because I had always been using different scrubs and peels a lot.. but if to compare with "those" scrubs it is one of the best.

I've been using Epidermx II for a month now and it's really one of those products that has made a big difference in my quality of my skin. I've been using Retin-A for almost a year and still was battling flakies around my mouth and chin. Even with using things like emu oil and other exfoliation scrubs/towels I had flakies. Epidermx II has improved the flakiness by at least 90%.

It makes my skin look close to pore-less and radiant. It looks good not just after I use it, but all day. It has never felt smoother either. I use it 1 or 2 times a day -- I wait an hour before putting on Retin-A in the evening. I know this is pretty rigorous but my skin is loving it so far.

The only downside is the price. I don't think the jar will last me very long. I'm hoping that maybe I can cutback at some point? Otherwise I would use it all over: stretch marks, hands, elbows . . .

I'm taking off a lippie for price.

For me the hype around Epidermx is not hype at all. It works, it shows results quickly, and works beyond my expectations.

I have previously used this product but on and off but after reading more rave reviews about how it can remove acne marks, I gave thsi another try along with the Chrysalyx. I am on probably 3.5 week of using this scrub and it doesnt seem to be working even when i am using it every morning, scrubbing extra long on the areas that it more severe.
However, I wont give up yet, I will the whole 2 jars up before deciding whether it works or not.
This is not scratchy at all, but it is best to use on damp skin and not on dry skin as it can be slightly scratchy. It has a slight coconut smell to it which is very pleasant to use.
UPDATE- aftering being so patient with this product, I've taken another lippe off and will not repurchase it as I really dont see what the hype is. It just doesnt get rid of the flakies and doesnt keep acne at bay. i think its better if u buy a cheapo microfibre cloth instead!

I have sensitive, acne-prone skin and EVERYTHING breaks me out, so I was worried that this stuff would break me out too, but since I started using it I have not had a single break out!!! My skin has never been this clear in my whole life!!!!! Not only that, but after using it every day for just a week, my acne scars had faded so much that I could go out in public without make up. I went ahead and bought another jar for back up because I simply can't go without this stuff.

I've only used this once, so perhaps it's too early to write a review, but I'll update once in a while to share any good news (hopefully!). After reading the raves about this in MUA boards and in the reviews, I was quite hyped up to use this the day it arrived. I scrubbed till the scrub dried up and was ready to feel the smoothest skin ever after rinsing but didn't get that. But am not discouraged: my skin has been the smoothest it has ever been since I started using PC's BHA, Silkia Camellia oil and Diacneal. Perhaps that's the smoothest my skin will ever be. But will continue using it in conjunction with the camellia oil, in the hopes that it'll help get rid of my acne scars faster.

Bought this on a whim and I'm pleased I did. Micro derm quality exfoliation this little gem only needs to be rubbed in gently for 3 mins and a layer of skin seems to be swept away! The next day skin is SO soft and make up glides on like a dream. Doesn't cause breakouts though it's too harsh to use on acne skin. Great for those needing to decongest their normal/combo skin.

UPDATE: I still use this but only once every month or so. I've been using non-abrasive peels that work beautifully and are highly effective without the tugging/pulling of manual scrubbies, but when I have the urge for abrasion, I still reach for this. Nothing beats it.

I had sworn off abrasive exfoliation, but after hearing raves all over the place about this stuff, being the product junkie I am I thought I'd give it a try. I've had several MDA sessions with the salons, and used several different chrystal type at-home scrubbies from cheap to un-godly expensive, but this beats them all...even the pro's. It took a couple tries until I got the right amount so that it rolled off (I was using too little), but once it worked, well just WOW. I didn't know what smooth skin was until this. My face feels like glass. Silk. Cashmere. It's awesome. Like baby skin. I'm completely blown away. The only thing I don't like is you really do have to work at it to get it all off, but I imagine thats why my skin is so smooth. I'm hoping the long term effects of this will be as impressive. I'm using it with the camilla oil and I'm still working both into my routine so we'll see. The only reason I didn't give it 5 lippies is because I get these little, invisible milia-like bumps under my skin that you can't see, but can feel. This does NOT get them off, but my IE 2 min miracle does. IE doesn't have the glassy effect this does so I'm using both for the time being.

The only bad things I have to say about this scrub are that I'm a bit put off by the hype and product copy, denigrating of competitors' products, and rather high price. Having said that, I must admit that no scrub/microdermabrasion has done for me what this scrub has. It makes my skin ultra-glassy smooth and lessens clogged pores. The next morning my makeup glides on like silk. I do the full 5 minute treatment every third night and I couldn't be happier. I have discovered over the years that my skin needs lots of exfoliation to stay clear, and this delectable smelling scrub is the best exfoliant of many I have tried. Great stuff.

i have uneven skin tone, freckles, indentations, enlarged pores, red scars & oily skin. i use as per the instructions a dime sized amount, scrub until it dries up & falls off which is about 3 minutes, afterwards my skin is smoother. i've been using this for about 2 months every monday & thursday religiously. unfortunately i can't say that my scars are lightening all that much & that marks are being filled in, but i'm sure the effects are cumulative so i will continue to use it. the price is ok for a high quality scrub, no allergic reactions so far, doesn't leave a greasy film afterwards just moisturized skin.

After using Epidermx, I thought it was too abrasive for my only sensitive skin. My skin felt raw afterwards even though I very gently massaged. Rubbing a scrub on the face for 5 minutes, though, would definately do more harm than good knowing my skin. Whether the granules are fine(which in this case they are) or not. I do use scrubs every few days for a good manual exfoliation, but that's only to quickly wash my face. Sure enough - about 3 days later, I broke out in counted 30 tiny red pimplettes all around my nose, mouth, chin, and forehead. It was terrible!

I much prefer chemical peels to microdermabrasion, myself.

I ordered the Epidermx/Silkia set and could not be more satisfied. I look forward to using the scrub two days a week because afterward my face just glows and is so soft. I have never had a product that you could actually see the dead skin falling off and yes it does look like a layer of skin is being removed. It is totally amazing and I will definitely reorder when it is gone. The fine lines have disappeared and my skin tone is alot more even which makes my makeup look so much prettier. Goldport Beauty ROCKS!!!!!

I am not getting the results that most epople got from using this product. The scrub is kinda weird... as in very soft in comparison to dr brandt. also after scrubbing for a while, ou got this yucky peel thing, but I am not convinced it is actually dead skin that is peeling. It feels like it is actually the dried up cream that is peeling.
Will ot buy again coz it does not deliver.

I've been hooked on Aloette's Enzyme peel and thought this was the be all end all of gentle peels but I received a sample of the Epidermx along with my Silkia Cameilla oil and I'm sold. The ingredients are all relatively mild with the exception of some alcohol. But it had no ill effects on my super sensitive skin;I usually have to stay away from any sort of alcohol in my skincare.:Purified aqueous extract of: Matricaria Rucutita (Chamomile Flowers), Sambucus Canadensis (Elder Flower), Rosa Canina (Rose Hips), Equiseteum Arvense (Spring Horsetail Grass), and Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera), medical grade, pure fused Aluminum Oxide - Corundum Crystals, Behentrimonium Methylsulfate (derived from Canola oil), Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Acohol, Glycol Stearate (all natural plant sources), Rosa aff. Rubligiaosa (Rose Hip Seed Oil), Carthamus Tinctorus (Safflower Oil), Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed Oil), Mangifera Indica (Mango Butter), Essential oils of : Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit), Lavendula Augustifolia (Lavender), Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Octanoic Acid/Serenoa Repens (Saw Palmetto); Caprylic acid, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxymethylglycinate. You apply a small amount to your face and work in circular motion..It feels like you're being licked by a cat..Exfoliating but not harsh..and you can SEE the product balling up and taking the dead skin with it..Leaves your skin incredibily smooth but not irritated

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!! I purchased the Epidermx and Silkia Camellia Oil from Goldport Beauty about two months ago and have been using them faithfully since and can't believe the change in my skin. My face is now one color which it hasn't been since I was a teen and I can see some shallow acne scars disappearing and fine lines flattening out. I scrub with Epidermx about 3 times a week. I wash my face and pat dry. While it's still slightly damp I apply Epidermx and work on one section of my face at a time. At about the 3 minute mark the product will start to ball up and will fall off while taking a layer of dead skin with it. I then rinse, pat dry and apply Camellia Oil and then I wake up the next morning with skin that feels like silk. I have spent thousands over my life time on professional chemical and microdermabrasion treatments and can honestly say I'm now getting professional results at home for a fraction of the cost.

Goldport Beauty has awesome customer service. I've emailed them several times with questions and I always get a reply within the hour. They have same day shipping also.

After hearing such great things about this product, I finally ordered it. I just got it in the mail today. The directions say to take a dime size portion of product and massage it into your face for 3 to 5 minutes. I'm not exactly sure how this works, but man it took some gunk off my face. As gross as it sounds, what came off my face looked like peanut butter. Afterwards, my face felt more smooth than its ever felt. It was so impressive that I wanted to do it again, so I used this on my neck and chest....I had the same great results..smoother skin. I will definitely repurchase this!!!!
