This is my HG eyeshadow for work. I have to look professional and well kept...no crazy make up. I love this! The shadow it self is sooooo creamy and smooth. This color is a beautiful natural looking shade of skin tone, it just enhances the eyes. Love this!

I first received this eye shadow for free, yes FREE from a March of Dimes walk thing for volunteers at my college. I liked the color but wasn't sure about it at the time after a few uses, I gave it to my then, mother-in-law.

2 years later, I regret it...I went and bought this eye shadow because I realized that I wanted a more natural daytime look. And viola! It's a beautiful neutral color, with enough hint of color to show it is definitely there. I can't stand wearing neutral colors that don't show at all. This color is smooth, even, and wonderful to wear on the eyelid. No irritation for a sensitive skin person like me but definitely would use a primer to keep it on longer. Just a few swipes, add some natural mascara and that's it!

A little $$ (going rate at Sephora is $22 as well as the Laura Mercier site and other places) but worth it. It is a well-made eye shadow that looks very professional.

Enjoy!

Looking for a pinkish lilac/lavender that a blue eyed gal like me can wear. first I tried NARS D Gorgeous, too blue. so I went to the LM counter and the SA came up with this one. I liked the neutral aspect of it and although it's not the cool pink lavender I am still hunting for, I was surprised at how natural it looked on me, especially in the crease, for a minimal makeup daytime look. I'm 50 now so I can't be too strong or sparkly with shadows, especially in natural light. I love the texture and color payoff of LM shadows.

Now, on to find my HG pinkish lilac.....

I was surprised by how much I liked this shadow, both in the pan and on my lids. Cashmere is a cool-neutral pinked beige; it's as if MAC Quarry, Prescriptives Mushroom, and Bobbi Brown Cement had a menage a trois and produced Cashmere as their love child.

I first tried it on at night, after work, and it didn't wow me. I thought I'd swap it, but when I tried it on the following morning, the light of day allowed me to see how lovely it really is. It gave my blue-grey-green eyes contour without obvious color, a natural but polished look. The texture is velvety, staying power is excellent (12+ hours), and the color is buildable. This is definitely a shadow I'll reach for on 'le no makeup' days.

[UPDATE 6/27] I am downgrading my review by one lippie. I love this shadow when I put it on in the morning, but I have been wearing it for a week, and I have noticed that at night I look really tired. I finally figured out that this color oxidizes and turns orange on me. Strangely enough, it looks terrible on me in low incandescent light and looks its best in natural light or sunlight. I hate removing points because LM shadow formulations are so exquisite, but it's my review on how this product works on me. Not a keeper, alas. I might have to give Fresco or Rose a try, as a replacement for this neutral in my palette.

Silky smooth, doesn't crease, not chalky at all. Amazing quality shadow and a beautiful neutral. It seems very beige but has a lovely pink tone to it.

I selected this in a swap because I had never tried a Laura Mercier e/s before and a shade that I can wear for my fairly conservative work place. Cashmere turns out to be a great taupy light pink shade with my skin tone. I thought it would be too light for any color to show on me but that's not the case. I'm so impressed with the quality. It goes on smooth as silk, not chalky at all! Great for a quick wash on my lids with a bit of a highligher color under my brows and I'm ready for a polished look at work or whenever I don't feel like putting on much make up. Would definitely purchase when I run out of this and would love to try more of LM's other colors!

This is a matte pale pink shadow. It's just not that special to me. It is in my palette and it's not one of those colors that I reach for.

The color is a neutral that has abit of pink in it. Perfect for a sheer wash of color when I dont want to look too contrived. Texture is impeccable. Will certainly try other shades. Deducted lippies for packaging ( need seperate brush) and price (kinda expensive for a single color).

The quality is above and beyond, but the color does nothing for me. It feels like silk and spreads evenly, feels lovely, no creasing. The color looks like the color of my lids but worse. I look ill. I have fair skin with dark brown eyes and hair. Doesn't work well with my coloring. Pinks hat do work for me so far: MAC's Hush and Expensive Pink.

I also have cashmere and fresco. They are very similar yet very different!! cashmere is a lighter version with lighter pink in it. Fresco has more brown and a bit of orange i think, although some say it has no orange, but it did show on my skin. I love the quality of the shadow, better than a lot of cheap quality shadows out there that sells for the same price. The quality and the colors they make are nothing but gorgeous! I wish i knew that before so i didn't have to waste money on cheap quality shadows!
oh and by the way, it COULD come with a applier to make it more convenient!

The eye shadows from this brand are realy special, high quality. İ've used so much "expensive" brands (dior, lancome, e.lauder etc.) but these are realy different. So smooth, not chalky, good layering and staying power. İt feels like silk, love it.
But İ like to have a small brush in it. İf İ am in a hurry İ dont want to search my brush out, wasting time. Or if İ want to take it with me, then İ have to take this long brushes with me too.
İ have to order it from the web, so İ dont get the colours so real. And so the reviews here are very important for me.
The colour is beige-soft pink. İ want it more beige, İ couldnt wear pinkish colours, they make me look like "crying-since-5-days". Only a light pink in it but to much for me. But İ will use it with a very light base so its not to bad.
İ was looking for a nude natural colour, only to make my eyes fresh.
İf you can buy it from the shop instead of the web you wont have this choosing-colour problem.

Oh so pretty! I wear this over sandstone, and it really makes my brown eyes look great! I never would have chosen this color on my own. But the reviews convinced me to try it. So glad I listened to you all! It's a unique pinky taupe on me. For reference: fair/medium w/ green undertones, dark brown hair, v. dark brown eyes.

This is a beautiful soft beige-pink (or pink-beige, depending on your point of view). It is just beautiful with my coloring, looks gorgeous with blue eyes. It shades the eyes in a subtle, sophisticated manner, never looks overdone. LM mattes are well pigmented, apply evenly, and blend like a dream. Have repurchased.

I love Laura Mercier's eyeshadows--they're so foolproof and subtly enhance and flatter one's eyes rather than screaming, "EYESHADOW!" This color is a dreamy, dusty, tanned beige color with a whisper of pink in it. Matte finish with no sparkles at all. This is beautiful as a wash of color, or in the crease for a very soft-looking smoky eye. The texture is almost creamy, not chalky at all, which can be a problem for lighter colors on my warm complexion. I wear this almost everyday and would definitely buy another when I run out.

Cashmere is the one in the middle in the top row. (The rest, in case you are interested are in clockwise from top left corner: Bobbi Brown Woodrose, the LM, Bliss Lids in BabyDoll, Prestige Chiffon, NARS Nepal, Origins Sand Storm)

As the reviewers below say, this is a rosey beige, a slightly lighter version of Fresco, imo. I love it for the same reason I love all LM shadows: texture, texture, texture!

Always love LM shadows, exceptional quality, great colours. Cashmere is very neutral soft colour. I wear it all over and then highlight with guava or sandstone. Beautiful shade for soft daytime look.

I love LM eyeshadows and cashmere is one of my faves. It's a matte dusty pink. I usually prefer shimmery eyeshadows, but I do love the color of this one and the way it just makes my eyes look 'pretty'. Very soft and natural. It is sort of similar to Fresco, but Cashmere is more cool toned with more pink in it. I actually hated Fresco, made my eyelids look dirty. So if Fresco didn't work for you, give Cashmere a try!

I agree with the other reviewer, this is gorgeous. I have a LM palette from last year and it contains guava, oyster, cashere and truffle. I use guava as a wash, put cashmere in the crease and line the upper and lower very finely with truffle and this is stunning and natural. They all last all day and the level of pigment is so sophisticated, you cannot overdue any of her shades. LM shadows are great colors and textures, and this is a beautiful and natural pinky light plum type color, very usual and pretty.

This is such a beautiful, unique dusty pink shade. It's perfect to reach for on those days when you want a cool-toned look, but feel that your eyes look too tired for the more red-based pinks. I apply this on the entire lid, with Fresco in the crease and Morning Dew under the brow, or else as a one-tone wash. I can't understand why Laura Mercier doesn't get more recognition for such artisitically-inspired shades like Cashmere.
