It is very gentle, I think not enough in the evening, I love it in the morning, as the face is not dirty, and the smell is natural. Only one thing, I use quite a large amout once, so it doesn't last as long as other clearners.

I did not like the smell of this product at all. The creamy consistency of this cleanser left my face slippery and not feeling clean. Though I don't like my face being stripped of oils, I think this cleanser adds more oil. Yuk!

Love it. Fantastic cleanser for combo to oily skin. Great natural scent. Soft cleaning (sort of creamy texture), non-drying. But it does get your skin clean.
I've also had problems finding the full size version. I hope it's not discontinued.

I love this cleanser. I don't know if the full size is discontinued, but I just stocked up at the L'Occitane sale. The only size they had available is the travel size, but they were on sale for $4! I can understand how the scent of the herbal ingredients might not be appealing to some, but I love it. It's very refreshing. I feel like the cleanser cleans my face thoroughly without drying it out. It's my favorite L'Occitane cleanser and one of my favorite of all time in any brand. It does not irritate my sensitive eyes either.

A friend of mine recommended this product to me as a good daily cleanser. The cleanser dried my skin out and I did not see any benefits from using the cleanser. The cleanser had a nice light scent and it was not too greasy. I finished the tube but I did not purchase this item again. This cleanser contains olive oil and olive water. This cleanser is recommended for normal skin and complexions dulled by stress, pollution or smoke. A 4.4 oz tube cost around 20.00.

Hate it! It made me break out! It felt nice at first and it seemed it to make my face brighter and softer, but after 2 days I can see it's not for me. I am going back to Clinique.

I love how this natural-ingredients cleanser (i like the idea that they use AOC olive water in it) from L'occitane rinses off without leaving my skin dry or too oily. very comfortable, great for combination skins. The scent is light and pleasant, and it isn't perfumed. It's a good buy.

I do believe this is my HG cleanser. It's helping to balance my face, as well as softening and evening its tone. And I've NEVER found a cleanser that has been able to clear my pores so thoroughly without drying my skin. This is everything I always hoped a cleanser would be---I really wish I had started using it years ago. My face is completely clear and the red marks from where I had spots before are fading at a very encouraging rate. I adore the smell and will definitely be buying more L'Occitane in the future based on the success I've had with this product. (I was using everything $kinceuticals for a while, but I am now a fulltime believer in L'Occitane.)

I really liked this cleanser. I have oily skin that is dry and flaky from anti-acne products and this cleanser made my skin soft and clean.

Not bad... I like the consistency and it smells divine. I tried this because I use the olive moisturizer and I love it (but I use that with the lavender cleanser). It takes off make up well but after about a week of using it, it started to sting on my face. No idea why. Then it started to clog up my pores and it's been sitting on my shelf for a few weeks now. Made my skin feel kind of raw and irritated all of a sudden. All in all not a bad cleanser, just not good for my skin type (combination, sensitive).

Packaging: great! You twist the cap on the end of the tube to squeeze out cleanser, then twist it back again to close. Easy-squeezy!
Effectiveness: great! Using this cleanser in the shower each morning with my washcloth consistently reveals how NOT effective my before-bed makeup remover sheets are! Also does not burn when it gets in my eyes, like some do.
Smell: not so great! I was expecting something very mild, olive-oily-ish smelling. Not so. The smell is a very soapy one--one that I honestly do not care for, but am willing to tolerate, this cleanser works so well.
Price: a little pricey, but it really is a powerhouse facial cleanser.

I love this cleanser, I alternate between this and the honey floral cleansing jelly. This one i use when i feel there is more gunk on my face. It 's still very gentle, but gets everything off my face. A little more stripping than the honey floral cleansing jelly, but sometimes that is what i need. My only concern is that I can't find the full size on the L'occitane website. I hope they are not planning to discontinue this.. I would be so upset!.

UPDATE: I no longer use this daily since finding Dermalogica's Age Smart cleanser, but I still keep this in the shower and use it on occasion just because it makes me feel better for some reason. My BF loves it now too since it smells so clean and natural without perfumes.
Oily, dehydrated skin. I've been using this in the morning and I love it. Soft, smooth, creamy, smells earthy and heavenly and leaves my skin clean but hydrated. No dryness or tight feeling at all, yet it cleans my face and doesn't leave it oily. I use their immortelle cleansing foam at night, but this is perfect for mornings when i don't have any mu to remove.

I didn't want to say anything bad about this cleanser, because I really wanted to like it (after hearing so many nice things about it). Let's just say that this may not be the perfect cleanser for people with combination to oily skin. It does cleanse, but it is too creamy (= heavy) for me. It definitely doesn't dry out, but at the same time I don't feel that it cleanses my face completely. I will leave it for winter, when my face is more dry and use it more like an in-shower cleanser/treatment. It is quite expensive (which I don't mind that much, because it is a quality product), but you don't get a lot of it. I will not buy it again, but if you have normal to dry skin this may be the perfect cleanser for you.
UPDATE: Don't like it at all, made me break out (which I rarely do).

I normally dislike using cream cleasers on my combination-to-oily, slightly sensitive skin but with this you only need a small amount but it cleanses well without foaming. I massage it all round, avoiding eyes as it does sting them a bit, and it leaves my skin feeling very soft. I have blemish prone bits and I feel it has helped balance my skin along with a lavender gel cleanser in the morning. It is expensive but will last a long time as all l'occitane products are high quality.
update: This doesn't rinse off as well as I hoped, I started using the shea water as a toner and its scary what comes off on the cotton wool! I now use it with a muslin cloth with good results (I think the massage and the cloth! are the real secrets to Liz Earle, Eve Lom et al ..)

I'm not fond of cream-cleansers, but i was hoping that this one from L'occitane olive harvest would be different....but it's not. i experienced lots of whiteheads n my skin is more oily than usual. suits those with very normal skin, i guess...

This cleanser is very gental. I usually use it in the morning as I think it's too mild to use it at night after wearing makeup. This cleanser does not foam up and I think it's not very suitable for oily skin. Overall, I will repurchase but only use it in the winter time.

I was first introduced to L'Occitane's Olive Harvest line by their SPF daycream. At the time my skin for a several months had been, for some unknown reason, really sensitive with some reddish spots and the occasional blemishes. I tried several lines of skincare from different companies, but the only one that worked was Olive Harvest. The cleanser is very gentle, but effective at removing impurities and etc. It smells nice, and isn't too pricey. My skin has greatly improved since then; I must say that it is starting to have a healthy glow :) will definitely purchase this again.
