Bourjois "Wish you were here" palettes $28.00 USD
I have: Paris (a set of blushing pinks) and Tahiti (Set of Corals and Greens)Each comes with three eye shadows, one lipstick, one blush and applicators.
At first glance, these palettes are cute, even if not completely portable on a day to day basis. They are sturdy tins with retro-ad designs on the front.
The inside is not as nice or enticing. The products are held in with flimsy plastic with a paper design poorly glued to it in some spots. I ripped the paper in the Tahiti palette within 5 minutes of my first use. You'll also most likely rip the paper when you take the tape off the applicator. Annoying. Oh and good luck getting the blush brush out. I can't seem to get it out of it's plastic cage.
The products are covered by another flimsy plastic insert that doesn’t quite fit right in the palette and often gets stuck in the tin's lid.
Bourjois could have done MUCH better with this part of the product.
A break down of the products:
Eyeshadow Trio in Les Roses 45 - Shimmery White, Light Pink and Dark pink
Blush in Rose de Jaspe 95 - light shimmery pink/rose blush
Lovely Rouge Lipstick in Rose Bonheur 01 - A creamy lipstick in an odd pink with violet tones lipstick. Not very complimenting.
Eye Shadow Trio in Les Vert 44 - Shimmery muted green, Shimmery Olive, and deep forest
Blush in Lilas D'Or 33 - Deep rose with gold tones blush
Lovely Rouge Lipstick in Rose Essentiel 02 - Coraley/Rose with subtle gold shine. This is far more wearable than the other color.
Overall the eye shadows and lipstick feel nice. the Blush feels nice but smells terrible. The perfume is so strong that it engulfs your face when you open the tin box. If you are sensitive to scents - Smell this one first! It might be too much for you!
So is it worth the $28.00 USD? Actually, yes. For $28 bucks you get a whole look plus the applicators to put it all on. But I wouldn't spend any more than that because the package itself leaves so much to be desired.
