I am trying to find a replacement for the old formulation of Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner, which Redken changed last year (the new formula of that is terrible).

In addition to numerous other brands' shampoos/conditioners, I have tried nearly all of the other Redken product lines already, but had not tried this one until this week.

I was not interested in any blonde-izing effect this might or might not have on my hair, I just wanted to find a decent shampoo/conditioner.

My chin-length dark blonde hair is "virgin" hair (not color treated, not chemically treated, barely ever been subjected to a hairdryer or heated styling tools in the last 2 years!)

When I wash my hair with this Blonde Glam shampoo/conditioner, it seems so promising! In the shower, it feels luxurious, conditioning, softening.

But when the hair dries, it isn't good. That's a strange mismatch.

Negatives - this makes my hair:
-darker in color, brassy
-slightly dry on the strands
-moderately frizzy
-very dry at the ends - it makes the bottom of my hair fringe out like a frayed ribbon

Positives:
-the citrus scent is bracing and refreshing
-it makes my scalp stay oil-free for longer than most shampoos do

I'm afraid that the results are no better than any old $3-5 drugstore shampoo.

If anyone knows of a good shampoo/conditioner product line that matches the effects of the OLD Redken All Soft line (before it was reformulated at the beginning of 2012), please send me a message via this site.

Love this, my hair feels so much better for using this.
Blonde looks brighter, feels healthier and so soft. I do use this everyday, but that's just how my hair is.

I have black/brown hair and my hairdresser recommended this as well as the shampoo for my parched tresses. I was a little wary because it says it's meant for blonde hair, but she said I should be okay. OMG, HG! It make my thick hair so soft, manageable, and SHINY! My husband actually grabbed a lock of my hair last night while we were watching TV and said, 'you're hair looks so pretty lately..' What?? My husband is a manly man and rarely says anything other than, ' you look hot' or 'you look beautiful.' He very rarely picks out a specific feature and comments on it. I will definitely be repurchasing!

I did not like this conditioner at all! Left my hair full of knots and tangles. Has 0 slip. Left my hair dirty looking and lots of static. By the end of the day my hair looked stringy at the ends and very brassy. My husband said my blond hair looks like I have copper streaks in it. The only good thing about this product is the smell....citrus.

(i wrote this review for the same brand but shampoo so it may not make sense in place but you get the idea.)
I started to use this product as i wanted my dark blonde hair to get a touch brighter and also make my hair look more healthy as my hair can look dry after i have washed it. I have recently discovered that i can get the same results from this higher end shampoo and it's conditioner as i can with drugstore shampoo's. I left this shampoo and conditioner combination at my boyfrinds house for when i stay there (sometimes for over 2 weeks) The first two weeks that i stayed and used this in my shower routine, it did amazing things for my hair and even when i went back to college people complimented me on how healthy, shiney and blonder my hair looked. After that i was so excited to go back for another week and use it again, but this time i found that my hair didn't have the same results as before i could skip a day of washing my hair but now i am back to washing my hair everyday as it gets so greasy if i leave it for more than one night. So i have given this a lower rating as there are mush cheaper products such as John Freda that give my hair better results!

I have blonde hair and had hi hopes for this product. Let me start by saying I love redken products and have used all soft by redken for many years. The SA told me this would soften my hair and make my blonde hair brighter helping me extend my time between highlights. When I got home I used it, it smelled sooo good, and lathed probably better than any shampoo I have ever used. I was sure my hair was going to look and smell wonderful after it dried. I followed up with Redkens Blonde Glam conditioner which smelled the same wonderful and even felt good in my hair. After everything was washed out and I began combing through my hair I noticed my hair felt tangly, gummy, and dry. My hair was in pretty good condition prior to using this shampoo. My stylist even comments for someone who colors their hair, your hair is in pretty good condition. I thought how could a shampoo/conditioner do this to my hair. Maybe I got something nasty in my hair, so the next day and day after that I tried again. Each time my hair got worse. I ended up taking it back to the salon, I was really upset. This stuff left my hair dry to the point it was breaking off. I was so upset. It has taken over 3 weeks of protein treatments to get my hair back to a good place. I would never recommend this stuff to anyone, your taking to big of a chance of ruining your hair, stay away from this stuff, YUCK!!

This is a great conditioner that I will continue to repurchase forever and ever. I usually use it with Blonde Glam shampoo, and the two work really well together. This conditioner isn't too thick or too thin. It's the perfect consistency to really moisturize your hair without weighing it down. The smell is nothing special, although a lot of other reviewers seem to like it. I only apply this to the ends of my hair to detangle and to keep my ends hydrated, since I straighten my hair almost every day. This effectively detangles without making my already oily hair look greasy, which is something many other conditioners can't seem to accomplish. This keeps my hair soft and looking bright and blonde. I love it!

Awful! The fragrance being so high up in the ingredient list really irritated my scalp. Really weighed my hair down. Promptly returned to Ulta. Manager said they have many returns on this product (& the matching Shampoo) because of irritation.

For the price, I don't see what the big deal is about this conditioner (or shampoo). I decided to try it because I recognized the scent as one that a former stylist used on me, and every time I'd go home from a haircut, my husband would comment that my hair looked blonder. That was years ago, but I remembered the distinct citrus scent when I was trying to pick new products. My hair is naturally a strawberry blonde, that has gotten a bit dull in the winter months. Using this shampoo and conditioner really made no noticeable difference to the brightness of my hair. As a conditioner, it works just fine, but nothing special. And I am disappointed that the citrus scent doesn't linger much. In fact, I kinda think my hair stinks a few hours after using this.

This comment applies to Redken Blonde Glam Color Enhancer Rich Vanilla. It is a "color depositing conditioning treatment for warm blonde hair." Every time I color my hair medium blonde, the temples remain white. I think I am about 80% grey but really haven't seen my hair in its natural state for decades. I had been thinking of just going grey but I do remember my mother's grey hair and the thought of having it myself does make me hesitate. I bought this color enhancer at Ulta and almost didn't because the directions seemed too complicated. I decided to not follow the directions (like using gloves). I got into the shower, shampooed my hair, towel dried it and then applied the color enhancer with my fingers concentrating on my temple area but also using it on my whole head. The results were great! My temple area is blonde and my whole head of blonde hair looks great (probably because the grey strands throughout my head of hair were also "enhanced." As for the conditioning effect, I like it because my hair did not end up too soft and flyaway as other conditioners have done. All in all, a great product for me.

I really, really like this product. It cleans hair and scalp thoroughly. I like this because it makes my hair look healthy. It does not lather as much as I would like, so it can be a little tricky to tell if you have covered your whole head. I have often looked at brunettes and thought their hair looked so much thicker and healthier, blondes seem to have trouble accomplishing this with the same ease. This product gave my hair some oomph.

I would buy it again if I could afford it, but it is pricey. I will probably not repurchase because of the price. But if it was affordable for me I would buy it again.

I'm really liking this product so far. It leaves my hair sooo soft. I have normal hair and I only put it near the ends never on my roots so I don't have the problem of it weighing my hair down. It's all about how much you use. with any conditioner if you use too much it'll make your hair greasy and weighed down. I really really like this. I don't know if it does much for my highlights, but I have only used it a few times so we'll see. What makes it even better is I got an amazing deal on it at Ulta. Only about $11 for the liter bottle. I'm happy!

Awful, awful conditioner. I only used this very sparingly (a blob the size of a penny approximately) as I have fine thinning hair that gets weighed down easily. But this product left my hair a stringy, greasy looking mess. I was embarrassed to be outside the house with my hair looking so bad, I had to wait until I got home from work in order to wash this out of my hair. Didn't detangle any better than any other conditioner. Won’t be purchasing again and wouldn’t recommend.

I am very impressed with this product! I am a natural blonde and it clarifies well so all of my natural highlights shine through. It's not so harsh that it leaves my hair dry either. It is a little on the pricey side, however, a small amount goes a long way. I have a quadruple crown and I didn't need anymore than a nickle size amount for my long thick hair. It's not greasy and covers very well! The smell is wonderful, too-grapefruit!

I love this conditioner. It is so are to find salon quality conditioners that actually do what they are supposed to; detangle and condition. I have tried Paul Mitchell products and while the shampoos are good the conditioners are terrible. Yes, Redken can get oily if you use too much of the product, but it really does soften and detangle your hair. My hair is oily, but it is long, thin and tangles easily. I found the conditioner to be perfect. I do not care for the smell too much (its grapefruit), but the product does deliver.

As with the Blonde Glam Shampoo - i do love this product! I find it mositurisers perfectly without leaving and greasy residue and it doesn't weigh my hair down. I find i can use less of this conditioner compared to others and get a perfect result. I must admit that my hair is not currently highlighted, but even as a platinum blonde this provided the ecaxt level of moisture my hair required.

I can agree, as mentioned by other reviewers, that the Perfect Platinum is more moisturising - but it is also pigmented and really not designed for daily use unless you want to go purple. I do believe that the products in this line all work best together.
