If your looking for a beautiful translucent Ivory shade for the arch of your eyes I highly suggest dream mousse shadow in Vanilla Veil
With a good brush again I use the Trish McEvoy flat brush. It takes a very small amount to apply. It is a nice high quality shade of ivory Its not tinted yellow or flawed like other cream shadows. It lasts for over 7 hours Its a beautiful highlight to the arch area there is no cheap glitter in it. Its texture is a thick cream and it wears nicely. The price is cheap. Quality mint. The Packaging is a small easy screw top jar. It could be used in combination as a base to a white shadow powder or alone. I wear it alone depending on what look I choose. I would repurchase it.

I like this product for the purpose I bought it, and that is as a overall brightening colour. I wear it as a base or as a highlight in the inner corner of my eye or on the brow bone.
It's fairly light in that it's not pigmented much, and therefore perfect for that purpose that I wanted. A lot of product for a small price, very creamy and easy to blend.

I bought this at the dollar store with some other colors and I have to say I use this the most.
The texture is nice and the color shows fairly well with a bit of shine. I use this as a base for my other eye shadows and it's worked well.

love love love it!! looks great with my skin tone, it's pretty and shimmery, get for parties and nightclubs but i would not recommend wearing it for day time because it's too glittery. it goes on so light and so easy with the finger tips. it doesn't crease and feels smooth and airy when wearing it and it doesn't fade fast (i use primer though). i wish they kept selling this because i find it fantastic! the packaging is SO pretty and nice and it's not at an expensive price. a little goes a long way with this one so it'll last you a good amount of time. i would totally buy this again and again.

I was really really disappointed in this shadow. This is hands down the worst MU $$ I have ever spent. The color is nice, but this stuff is terrible. It creases. It doesn't go on evenly. It's useless. It's too thick to use as anywhere on the face. It looks very obvious. It also dries up in the container quickly. I wasn't impressed with it when it was new. I am even less impressed with it now that it's dried up and it's been sitting in my MU drawer sealed tight for only a couple of months. I won't be wasting anymore of my money on anymore Dream Mousse products after this experience.

I love the color of this: in the pot it looks white with a slight tint of gold to it, but when you put it on it's a beautiful gold shimmer. I use it as a highlighter for under my brows, the inside of my eyes by the bridge of my nose, and under my eyes. I still have issues with how to apply it because I can't use anything in my arsenal! So I end up using my fingers, but I hate getting stuff on my fingers, which is why it only gets 4 lippies instead of 5.
It tends to move around on my skin, but I have oily skin. I imagine it may stay longer on normal skin :-)

I found this in the clearance section at the drugstore for $1, so i decided to give it a try.
This is a great basic shadow! The mousse formula makes it easy to blend, and like others mentioned, it lasts the whole day on your lids without creasing. The vanilla veil color is sheer and illuminating with a little sparkle. A basic highlighter-ish color that brightens up tired/red eyes after a long night... I would defs buy it again cuz its a great deal, lasts forever, and its a pretty color.

i am so shocked that people like this. i must have got a fluke, mine was awful, dry and hard to blend, just didn't have a workable texture.

OOH!! perfect e/s base! first i should tell you that i got these BOGO at Walgreens, so it was an amazing deal. i specifically bought them for e/s bases, so i bought the ivory illusion and vanilla veil to highlight. both are wonderful... the ivory illusion is a simple beigey color with tons of shimmer. the vanilla veil is a white with the same shimmer. not glitter, but pretty shimmer that catches gorgeously in the light. after applying fdn to my face, i use this color all over my lid and then use the vanilla veil to highlight under my brow bone and the inner corners of my eyes and below my lower lash line. both colors are very sheers, but easily can be layered and i have to trouble blending them! they feel so amazing on, like silky smooth powder... i love these and, as another rec for using them as e/s base, i put this on at 6:00 am, went through a day of school and studying and now it is almost 7:00 pm... NO CREASES!!! that 13 hours girls! amazing....

I am 39 and have very fair, dry, sensitive skin with light lines around and on my eyelids. I have bluish/green eyes and was looking for a vanilla shadow that wouldn't draw attention or increase the look of lines on my lids but would brighten and enhance my eye colour.
I love this shadow and it does accomplish my goals. The mousse was applied lightly with my fingers - a little goes a long way. The colour is pretty but on my light skin it blends in so much - very little colour actually shows up. What I get is a nice base of pale sheer vanilla with a light shimmer of gold. The colour was applied early this morning and it's still going strong (doesn't need reapplication) 8 hours later.
The texture is butter soft. This is my first experience with a non-powder eye shadow and I love this product. It's mess-free and the jar is nice and easy to open and use.
I'd give this product a 5 Rating except that I think the Vanilla Veil should be labelled as "sheer". Perhaps it would appear more opaque in colour on a person with darker skin but on me I get a very sheer, vanilla coat with shimmer. But, I do love this shadow and will definitely repurchase as the quality at this low price ($8.00 Canadian) can't be beat.

I really like this creme e/s. The color is whitish. I have found a great way to wear these dream mousse e/s's. What I do is apply an e/s primer like Lumene or UDPP, then apply these sheer shimmery cream shadows all over my eye from my lash line to brow; then I put any color e/s on my lid from my crease to lash line. They work really great that way, and have no creasing by the end of the day, and brighten my eyes very much, without being garish. I will buy again.

GORGEOUS!!! I LOVE THIS COLOR! i use it as a highlighter or base! It has lots of glitter that actually stays on! The color shows up on me so I do not need a lot of it. It's a white gold color with silver/yellow glitter! SOOOO CUTE!!! Im going to buy the Ivory one tomorrow too!! THIS WAS SOOO CHeAP at RITE AIDS for only $3.71..i should have bought more !! I also have the lilac clouds, i also use that as a highlighter. ( that one doesn't show up on me as much, but it's still a pretty color ) I have moderately fair skin, NC 20-25. And i have greasy lids with dry skin under my brows =( and this looks great because it smooths out my dry skin!! IM only 23 but i can't wear as much glitter anymore because i just got dry skin OUT OF NOWHERE! But IM SOOO HAPPY that this mousse eyeshadow works for me! ***UPdATE - i find it in my makeup box more often then on my face..i don't even use it but still a great color..i would have to drop it 5-4 lippie***

I bought this as a highlighter for my eyelids rather than an eyeshadow and I was very happy with the results. It did highlight and added a bit of yellow/gold, which makes my eyes appear fresh. There is a lot of sparkle to it but you can really only see it under certain lighting. The texture is interesting but not very practical since it tends to ball up when you want to build up the hue. The packaging is cute but not hygienic. Overall, I like the effect the eyeshadow creates and would buy again.

I love Ivory Illusion so I gave this a try. However, this deposits bits of sparkles on my lids, and that't it. No colour, it doesn't even brighten my lids. Pretty useless on its own IMO.

I absolutley love Maybelline's Dream Mousse shadows. I'm already quite fond of Lilac Cloud and Heavenly Pink, and Vanilla Veil is no exception. These cream "mousse" shadows are packaged in a small glass jar with a color coordinating lid. The texture is quite airy, and you only need a little to cover your whole lid. (I have very oily lids, and I find that if I apply this in a thin layer, it does not crease as badly.) In the jar, Vanilla Veil appears to be white, but on my PPP skin, shows up as a cross between white and gold. It's very pretty and looks great if you're going for the natural look. This is very inexpensive for 4.97 at Wal-Mart, and although I've never tried Stila's Shadow Pots, I've heard these are very comparable. Go out and give Dream Mousse Shadows a shot :)

Well when I first got it, I really liked it! The texture, the color the whole enchilada!! Then I started to think about the sanitary aspect. Every day I am sinking my finger into something that after first application has accumulated bacteria ( even if i did just step out of my morning shower). So with that said, I stil wanted to love this...I love the cute little glass container it comes in. After a few days I noticed the texture was not as it was at first. It started to get thick, if you will, and clumpy.....hhmmmm?? Clumps in my eyeshadow???? I think these would have been better in a different package and maybe with a little less sparkle...Sorry Maybelline...You just cant win with me.

I guess they were getting the basic colors before they launch more. The color is identicle to Cover Girl eye shadow single in champagne which is a light beige with light colored sparkles. I am a ppp so this was very light on my brow bown. I tried these both on my hands and my eyes and while I found they do not crease AS LONG AS you do not apply a lot!!! They do rub off easily on other things though, for example if I touch my eye, my hand is left with lots of beige shimmer. On one eye I tried to layer and use a lot of product for a brighter beige look but this just ended up balling off and looking uneven. Layering this also causes creasing. These give a very sheer natural look & although I like dramatic makeup I could not get that look without it ballin up. I used a tiny amount and kept rubbing it to give me full coverage I cannot imagine how long these pots last because there is tons in there. Worth the money but I dont think you could appreciate these unless you like a light eye look. I think these would be great on darker skin Id love to see a picture of that
