While I don't believe that cosmetics are a necessity, even higher learning must give way to baser instincts once in awhile. YOU NEED THIS LIPGLOSS. NEED. Like air, like water and like bright-hot supahfly in-your-face shimmery-shimmy'd Hot Chrome!

The colour is a darkened reddy coral, with incredibly fine shimmer and lots of shine. The texture is fairly thick, but smoother and lighter than the MAC lipglasses, and my Hot Chrome! smells very, very strongly of vanilla. I feel like a red velvet cake sometimes when I have this on, but that is OF THE GOOD. The formula is definitely different to everything else MAC has had - lighter and more opaque than lipglasses, less glittery than lustreglasses, more pigmented and less shimmery than 3-D glass and are a far cry from the weak shine of lipgelee.

There is a slim mini brush, softer and a tad longer than the Lustreglass brushes, but they tend to have more product than one can use per application, so one point off for that. The tube itself is pretty durable, and I actually like the bling-bling cap! (When you have traffic-stopping lips, you kind of forget about tacky faux-gold lids.)

Retailing for $16.50, MAC brought Chromeglasses out initally in 2005 with a repromote in 2006. They are worth every penny, and rank amongst my FAVOURITE lipglosses ever. If ever they release, I'll be buying a backup!

I am NC25 (Studio Fix), C3 (MAC Face & Body), 30 (Chanel), 2 (MUFE Face & Body, winter) & OC02 (Lunasol Intellectual Powder foundation, winter)

The only thing I did not care for about this product is the brush applicator because it seems kind of flimsy and a bit too much product comes out. Generally, I like the look of MAC chromeglasses. For me, Hot Chrome is not always metallic looking, but it's always shiny. The color is definitely hot and it pops, and for my coloring it is fine. I have golden reddish-blonde hair, green eyes, and a warm, fair complexion. Probably not for every day wear, but it is fun and I plan on purchasing at least two more; sunmetal and uberpeach. It's pretty. :-)

Hot Chrome is my favourite colour ever, seriously. It's a gorgeous reddish coral on my medium pigmented lips. It's so similair to the the colour I make by mixing several lipsticks and lipglosses (all non-MAC), but it's better and lasts a lot longer. It also makes my teeth look whiter.

I have no problem with bleeding. I don't apply that much though and I usually wear some lipliner under it.

I wish the chromeglasses weren't LE. I love the 3 I have. <3

i like the formula. ive heard some people say this has a lot of slip, but i didnt notice that. it stayed on well, didnt last as long as i would have liked, but it didnt run down my face either. the only issue i have with this is the way the color came out. i had really expected a nice coral pinkish color. and it looks somewhat that shade in the tube. but when i put it on, it was just bright metallic orange.
good thing i like orange, but it wasnt what i expected, which is never good.

I love MAC's new chromeglasses. They're pigmented, shiny, lightweight, creamy and leave a nice stain behind which is everything I want in a lipglass. I don't find them drying at all, on the contrary, I find them to be more moisturizing than most lipglosses, but by no means a replacement for lip balm. Hot Chrome is a really loud, bright coral with metallic shimmer. It's a gorgeous color and looks pretty with my skin, but I doubt I'll wear it often as its much too bright and warm for most of my daily eye looks. Still, it was my first chrome glass and a worthy purchase, which inspired me to buy two other shades and contemplate buying more!

My 1st chromeglass and my LAST one! The texture is VERY watered down. It glides on smooth but a few mintues later dry on your lips leaving them stain and chappy. Hot Chrome! Is a very coral orange color, after a few mintues trying to pick out a chromeglass(nasty colors) the SA suggested this to me and I was stupid to buy it. It looks u-g-l-y. Hate it. Not worth $16.50 more like $2 max.
