This has been discontinued =( I love this product. I only been on this for a week and its perfect! I'm gonna go to big lots to see if theres anymore. It cleared my pimples, whiteheads and redness. All I wear *make-up-wise* is NYC smooth minerals foundation and it covers my light acne scars. Best acne product ever!

I first started using this regimen about three years ago after enduring the WORST BREAKOUT OF MY LIFE. I had an unfortunate run in with a Clinique moisturizer and Philosophy cleanser. I had just started using them, but within a few days my face was covered in deep cystic blemishes. I realized then, at the tender age of 18, that I - 1 : have very sensitive skin and 2 : Needed and acne kit ASAP! I bought this at a local CVS for $25. At the time it hadn't yet been discontinued and $25 was a lot less steep than what proactiv was asking for their stuff. I couldn't wait to start using it. Within a few days my blemished had begun to clear. Within a week, they were gone! With continued use, my larger pores had become noticeably smaller and and they weren't clogged anymore. This was more than just a HG, this was a GODSEND. I used this sporadically afterwards. Usually when I had a breakout or before that time of the month so as to prevent a breakout from forming. A few months ago when I ran out of that first set I bought, I was heatbroken to discover the news of it being discontinued. WHY?! HOW COULD THIS BE?! I loved this set. I was able to track down and buy two more sets online. I can't imagine using anything else when my skin is going through a rough patch. Most other acne products are too harsh and drying. This does the job without any harsh side effects. Oh God L'oreal! How could you do this to us? Bring this set back!!
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Red Eyes: Green
I'm very impressed by this! I bought two sets at $4.50 each from BigLots. I figured.. for that much, I'm not losing much. Anyway, I've only been using it for 3 days now and the clogged pores on my forehead have already started to clear up significantly.
The lotion is NOT a moisturizer. I'm not sure it's supposed to be either. I smear that all over my face and once it dries, I put on some Cetaphil at night. Neutrogena moisturizer with SPF during the day.
Hopefully this continues to work!

I am very upset this product has been discontinued. This is, by far, the only thing that controlled my acne. I have not been able to locate a source to buy this for months, and sure enough, I began to break-out almost immediately. I have oily skin, and this was only drying when I first started the regimen. Once my skin got used to it, it controlled the oiliness as well as my breakouts(which where mild, and only came about on the onset of my period)
I do hope that L'Oreal brings this product back, or at the very least, only make it available on their website...

I love this product. It is cleanser, toner, and benzoyl peroxide lotion. I don't use the toner and rarely use the benzoyl peroxide (I stopped since I started using pimple eraser), but the cleanser is great. I was breaking out a lot on my jawline, and around my mouth, and I think this helped a lot.
The only thing is now I have a dozen unused bottles of the toner and ten tubes of benzoyl peroxide, since I only use the cleanser.
Age: 25-29 Skin: Acne-prone, Olive Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I've been breaking out on my jaw line and decided to buy the kit. The cleanser is okay. The toner doesn't really do anything and the acne treatment is actually making my acne worse. I used to use Proactiv, but have since stopped as it was no longer effective in combatting the breakouts I had. This product is definitely one of the worse.

My mom bought me a small trial size kit of this because it was on sale for like 3 bucks.I've been using it day and night for about 2 1/2 days now and I can already tell a difference in my skin.I've used proactive before and it didnt help, but this is almost exactly like it and it does work.My mom came home from the store today, with the full size bottles. And it was on sale for 12 dollars, you cant beat that.I spend that much on a face lotion alone.
I took a lippy off because this is pretty drying.I normally have oily skin,so I usually dont use a moisturizer. But Im going to have to if I want to use this.I now have dry patches on my cheeks that I've never had before.I'd still buy this because it keeps my skin clear, but Im going to buy some moisturizer
This stuff is perfect! My skin isnt nearly as oily as it was before..I still have some blackheads,so im going to keep the rating as a 4.Im still going to use it along with blackhead strips for my nose and cheeks..

This is an average product. I use the Proactiv cleanser and lotion and they work much better.
I like the cleanser, but the toner had alcohol which I did not like at all. The lotion did a good job of clearing my skin but it left a film on my skin and it rolled off a bit when I applied moisturizer. Not a very good product. Besides clearing acne, it doesn't do anything for your skin.

It's been exactly 2 weeks and I have to write a review because it is SO GOOD, actually GREAT on me!
I have clear skin finally after almost 3 years of breaking out for no reason, and tried many things and brands, I gave this a try, because it was on sale for $6.26 (lol).
And since I thought nothing really works well anyway, I start using this as a night treatment. I have sensitive skin and the ingredients on it may cause some dark spots, so I stayed on the safe side by using it by night.
I LOVE IT.
The consistency of the product and the dryness ...well, it is a treatment for acne (it is to be expected a little). And it is not that bad either, I use a retinol cream with SPF by day for moisturizing.
My spots are fading very good too. My acne, well I can not call that acne anymore!
If I need to, will repurchase.
***EDIT*** Almost a month since i started this treatment and getting better! i have just 2 zits and then that was just history!

I have never really had a problem with my skin until I turned 25 or so. It was moderate but as many of you know annoying and quite frustrating.
This is the only thing that has really worked for me and really cleared everything up and trust me I have tried just about everything. So its HG status for me!
I gave it a 4 because it can be a tad bit drying so I only use it at night. If i stop using it my skin gets pissed! I find that it even helps fade scars with some time. Some people have complained about the blemish lotion being somewhat like glue....if you just use a small amount its just fine. The cleanser and toner are very good..gentlle yet effective.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Combination Hair: Brown Eyes: Green
ive used this product for almost 3 months in hopes that after the intial period it would actually work. instead it made my acne even worse. i suffer from light to moderate acne around my chin and mouth area and after using this product it is bordering on the severe side. never before have i experienced cystic ance and since using this product it has been a reoccuring thing. i've also had acne in areas i dont typically get it as well. i heard that there is a brief period where your acne gets worse but this is just ridiculous. it would get worse...seem like it was getting a little better, only to get really worse again! id rather go without using anything than using this product, at least before i never had painful cysts.

I have never experience acne, except for the occasional period pimple, until I stopped using birth control and turned 32. My skin up until then had been on the dry side. Now I am combination/oily and my skin eruped (on my chin) like a pimple volcano!!! Not cute! Anyway, I tried AcneResponse and am amazed! I've been using it for about a month and LOVE the results. Although I still get a pimple (during that time of the month), my chin acne has cleared up and the dark marks are beginning to fade. I use the system day and night and would highly recommend the product. For the reveiwer that said the acne treatment cream was gluelike and flaked under makeup, you are probably using too much and not rubbing it in completely. You only need a thin covering. I also experienced flaking until I fully rubbed it in...now I have no flaking.

The face wash and toner are fine. They removed my make-up and did not over dry my skin.
The treatment lotion was horrible. It was glue-like, peeled off under make-up, and bleached my pillow cases. And it also made my skin worse. I had suffered from a ocassional minor break out (maybe a pimple or two each month) and was worried the my old face products (which I started using in high school) might be too harsh for my late-twenties skin. After a month of using the skin lotion, I was in a hotel room and saw the side of my face in the magnifying make-up mirror and was horrified. The sides of face were covered in pimples, reddish scars, and black heads. I stopped using the lotion and returned to my old routine, but it wasn't strong enough to fix the mess that my face had become. A trip to the derm, who commented on the amazing amount of clogged poors covering my face, helped, but I still have a bit to go before my face gets back to pre-L'oreal condition :(

I have been using this for a little over three weeks now. My skin does seem to have cleared up a little. I have been using benzaclin (a prescription) in the morning instead of the treatment that comes with the kit because I found that it peels/flakes off whenever I put my moisturizer on. I also do not use the treatment at night since it bleaches the sheets. I do like the cleanser and the toner though. Not sure if I will repurchase. I have also found that I like the Neutrogena scrub just as well and I am sure I can find another toner to use. But overall I thought it was a good purchase - just not for me.

After a horrific breakout (Damn you, Juice Beauty!), I needed to get my skin back to normal. This was on sale at Wally World, so I gave it a shot. The kit cleared up my complexion fairly quick, but the products were a tad too harsh for my sensitive/oily skin, causing a red, peeling nose. Lovely. Plus, the cleanser is a bit watery in texture, so when you tip the bottle, way too much comes out. I'll stick the toner in the fridge for hot days, but will not be repurchasing this kit.

A thousand times better than ProActiv! I am 39 and thus now worrying about blackheads/breakouts as well as not overdrying my skin which is sensitive & starting to show some fine lines.
Whereas ProActiv only worked intermittantly on me & also really dried me out, this did not!
I loved the cleanser...no hideous fragrance & very gentle. It is not BP like the ProActiv, so far less drying that the ProActiv cleanser was...also, no messy BP to worry about bleaching my hair/clothes!
If you want to keep from overdoing it, I recommend using it only once a day...
I cleanse with the cleanser in the morning & then use the toner, let that settle & put on my makeup.
At night, after taking off my makeup with DHC's cleansing oil, I either just lightly use the 3rd step (the BP lotion) where needed, or sometimes, use the toner again & then the lotion where needed, lightly.
Highly recommend...my skin looks so clear, without being red & dry like the ProActiv left it! And at a fraction of the cost! EDIT: 5/31/07: since I tried this, my skin has changed a lot due to some other things going on, so it's kind of invalid. Using salysilic acid (the cleanser) AND the BP (lotion) can be pretty harsh on the skin if it's prone to redness/sensitivity so if you do use this, I'd recommend using the BP only on days when you don't cleanse w/the cleanser. Still might be decent for younger oilier skins, but I do prefer to go a more natural route with my products (Daybreak Lavender Farms is my fave!)
Age: 30-35 Skin: Very Oily, Fair-Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Brown
I'm 31 and I've struggled with acne since I was 13. For the first time, my skin is clear. The cleanser foams lightly and has mild scrubbing beads. The toner is refreshing and does not dry my skin nor does it make it oilier. What's really great is the lotion. It has 2.55% benzoyl peroxide so it is effective, yet it doesn't make my skin flaky or irritated. I have always stayed away from BPO products because they are harsh and they tend to bleach my clothes and other fabrics. Not the case with the L'Oreal lotion. It doesn't even irritate the sensitive skin under my nose.
I use the system once in the morning every day. The bottles have lasted me longer than the 60 days advertised on the box. My face has gone from having several breakouts every week to only once a month. My skin has healed and the acne scars have had a chance to fade. My skin is also smooth and glowy.
My only negative is the lotion tends to make my liquid foundation ball up. But if my skin stays clear, I will not need such heavy makeup anymore!

This WORKS. I had tried everything, even pro-activ and nothing seemed to be making my acne prone skin better. I am in my mid-20's, and only now have I found a routine that isnt too harsh or drying, and my skin is actually CLEAR.
I still have marks from old pimples, however, and this doesnt seem to be doing anything to fade it.
Also, I run out of the second step, the toner or whatever, more quickly than I do anything else.
I use a separate makeup remover first so than when I use the face wash, it can work into my skin, and not just on removing what makeup I had on.
If anyone isnt sure about it, I would recommend trying it, but with a good simple cleanser to use first if you wear makeup.

I rather like this acne regimen. I'm in my early/mid 20's, and used to have really good skin. But, about a year ago, I started to be under a lot of stress from a combination of school, working, a bad relationship, not enough sleep, and a bad diet; so for the first time in my life, I started breaking out frequently.
So, I started tyring out a few different acne regimens (Neutrogena, MD Formulations, Juice Beauty, and L'Oreal) and acne peels/microdermabrasion (L'Oreal, Juice Beauty, and Olay). Now, of all of the acne regimens I've tried, I've had the most success with the L'Oreal Acne Response Daily Adult Acne Regimen. So, here's a breakdown of my thoughts on the three products included in the acne regimen:
This is a 4.3 fluid oz, gel cleanser with a 1% salyclic acid content and micro-beads for exfoliation. It is one of my favorite acne face scrubs which works well with my skin type (sensitive/combination skin). This cleanser gets rid of any oiliness without causing it to be too dry, and exfoliates rather nicely. The one major drawback about this product, is that the cleanser runs out before the rest of the products in this kit. It would be nice if L'Oreal increased the amount of cleanser they include in this kit (most cleansers you buy individually will have 5 - 7 ounces).
This is a 4.3 fluid oz liquid toner, that contains panthenol and glycolic acid -- surprisingly, and a little disconcertingly, it's hard to find the ingredient information for this product -- it's on the bottom of the box, in small writing (who looks at the bottom of the box? I found it by accident).
This toner is OK, pretty standard, but maybe not as drying as others I've ever used in my life. I usually don't like toner, because it's too drying for my skin, but I can get away with daily use of this toner if I use it sparingly.
This is a 2.0 fluid oz. cream/lotion acne treatment, that contains 2.55% benzoyl peroxide. This blemish-fighting lotion has a low concentration of benzoyl peroxide that gently treats my acne and helps clear it up. I also need to use this product in moderation, because if I use too much/ put it on too thickly, then my skin gets flaky, irritated and dry after a few days of use. I like the fact that this product has less benzoyl peroxide, I've used other products with higher concentrations (10%), which is too harsh and drying on my skin.
So, in conclusion, I do really like this product, but stress the fact that it works well for my skin type (I can't say how it will work on other people's skin). It contains typical acne fighting ingredients (salycilic acid and benzoyl peroxide) in low doses. The best of the three products is the cleanser, which I would buy if it was sold separately. The price is in the middle range of acne fighting regimens ($24.99 or so), so I'm willing to spend the money if it helps my skin.

I have breakout-prone skin and this kit is good. The Pore-Cleansing Cleanser helps to clear my skin. I don't really like the toner because it dries me out too much. My skin looks somewhat better afterwards. I use the Blemish-Fighting Lotion Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment only as a spot treatment. It's too sticky and thick to use on your entire face, besides it kinda balls up when you try to apply makeup. I think the spot treatment is best for nighttime anyway, but there are way better BP lotions out there.
