I actually really liked everything about this- the packaging is easy to deal with and the product feels good on my skin. But every single time I use it, I break out horribly! I have combo skin, and very susceptible to cystic and hormonal outbreaks but with a few other MB products (orange face wash, glycolic face wash, oil free moisturizer, along with a few others) has kept it ( mostly) from breaking out too bad. But this lotion makes my skin so bad every time unfortunately. Every time my face settles down, I try to use it again, and then it goes crazy!!!

Love this! I use it day and night, and it leaves my skin velvety soft, really nice to touch, a dream to put make-up over, and since I've been using it, I've seen a massive difference with hardly any new spots, and old scars fading quickly. This might have something to do with using the MB Healing Cream on top of it at night. I'm not taking any risks though, and will be sticking to this routine religiously, because my skin is suddenly clearer than it has been in years.

I used this because it was oil free and I have sensitive skin. It might be oil free but there is something in it that clogs the pores. I got several painful cysts. I am in my 50's and rarely breakout This was awful. Once I quite using it they went away.

Had combination skin type of oily, abit of dry and sensitive skin. Brought this moisturizer few months ago and it started out good but after awhile, the effect was meh.

am not sure is it me or the product just didnt suit me. Find it pricey as i brought it at SGD $53 and this was rather quite a small bottle. would prefer a pump sort of bottle.

cant wait for my first bottle to use finish and start sourcing for other moisturizers!

I have had a great experience using this moisturizer. It's richer than the MB's other oil-free moisturizers, but it's not nearly as greasy as some of the oil based ones. It's the perfect oil-free lotion to use with my acne balancing skin care regimen. For my combination skin, I use this in conjunction with the seaweed soap (alternated with the glycolic cleanser), the seaweed toner (alternated with special cucumber every other night), the herbal hydrating serum, the seaweed night cream, the rolling cream peel, and a slough of Mario's acne products. As soon as I smooth this on, my skin feels like satin. This also works beautifully under my makeup. I never feel dry or tight, and after almost a month of using it, I've yet to break out. Along with the other products I'm using, my skin is balanced and glowing. Thanks MB!

I_LOVE_THIS_PRODUCT.

I credit the clearing of my acne in large part to this moisturizer. I tried it on a whim - I was desperate to find something that would help with my unforgiving breakouts. This stuff is SO amazing for getting into the pores and combating acne causes. It also keeps my skin amazingly smooth. I just love it. I can't say enough good things about it. It NEVER broke me out, worked wonderfully under makeup, is so soft, and it absorbs quickly into the skin. You can feel it working to slough off the dead skin and keep your face glowing.

I don't want to describe it as a lotion, or a cream. It's in the middle somewhere.....it has more of a gel texture. It's light, yet silky...kinda thick, but NOT thick. It's hard to describe. It's just a rich, very pleasant texture. Not sticky, not at all oily. And I am sooooo picky about what I put on my acne battlefield. This stuff is just awesome. I love, love, love it and recommend that anyone with acne give it a try for 2-3 weeks, really give it a chance, and you'll slowly notice day by day that this is working for you even hours after you apply it. Your skin will start to look smoother, healthier, it will start to glow more, your makeup will go on better, etc. I've bought bottles both for my younger sister (also an acne sufferer) and my mom and they both love it. Great product, definitely worth at least a try. Ulta carries this line, so try it out and if you don't like it, bring it back!

I can't say whether this works alone for acne. I used several Mario Badescu products to fight my acne - the Enzyme Cleanser, Silver Powder, Alpha-Grapefruit Cleansing Lotion....all together. I've since stopped using everything as often as I used to, because my acne is all but gone. I get the occasional breakout here and there, but I feel like I've finally got "normal" skin. I still use the Enzyme Cleanser to clean off my makeup though.

But I recommend this to anyone, especially acne sufferers who've tried sulfur, salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, etc with no luck. I always have a bottle of it handy in my cabinet for when my skin gets unruly, and it seems to rebalance everything again. Amazing stuff.

Don't consider this a full moisturizer, because it's not heavy. It is NOT a good option for people who need heavier moisture to combat dry skin. This is on the lighter side. Great for daily use, great under makeup.

I use this as a moisturizer in the morning and night, along with, the enzyme cleanser & my skin has never looked better. I normally exfoliate with a ponds face wipe to remove makeup/excess oil, then use the enzyme cleanser, then the moisturizer. If I dont not use a makeup remover wipe, then I have found that my face will occassionally break out due to the enzyme cleanser not removing all the makeup. This system has left my skin clearer, and it is the first time that I have used a moisturizer that does not cause me to break out. I have used this system for about seven months, and have never been happier. (FYI- I have sensitive/combination skin, that breaks out ocassionally)

This product is one of those win or lose types. It didn't work for many people here, according to the reviews. I must be one of the very few that loves this product. I only use this as a nighttime moisturizer because it seems a little thick for daytime use. I may try a dab of it during the day, but it does a good job for my oily/ acne/ sensitive skin. I wake up with a nice glow. It's the only product that didn't break me out. I will repurchase : )

Probably THE worst moisturizers MB has (All MB moisturizers are bad anyway....) After 3 days of using this, I had like 6 cysts and a SUPER OILY face, I definitely will never recommend this, EVEN PUTTING VASELINE ON UR FACE WILL BE BETTER THAT PUTTING THIS

This is a decent moisturizer. I bought it because I had used expensive moisturizers with ceramide in the past and I was looking for a cheaper alternative. Unfortunately I didn't notice any positive change in my skin after using it religiously. I did like that it moisturized well and was a nice texture under my makeup. I also like the smell. Unfortunately I get better results from other products so I won't repurchase.

i have combination skin with a bit of acne scarring....i bought this because i read reviews on the mario badescu site with people saying they saw an improvement with some acne scarring....regardless, i needed a new moisturizer and decided to go with this...the first few days were fine, then all of a sudden i would wake up with ton of white little bumps all over my face...not actual pimples though...i think i just had an allergic reaction to this stuff...i used it for a about a week to make sure this was the culprit and surely enough it was...stopped using it altogether and my skin is back to the way it was....unfortunatly i had to return this :(
i would not repurchase again (this is one of the only mario badescu products where i have had a reaction this bad)

This is a nice moisturizer. It goes on light and does not feel greasy. The packaging is gross though and for the price I would not re-purchase. I don't notice many effects from the AHA, either, so I'm guessing it has a low concentration.

Okay, so I used to use Dear John, by Benefit which I do still love...I was looking for a moistruizer that does a little bit more than just moisturise. If that makes any sense?!

My friend is selling Arbonne, and she was like just try it, so I did and at first my skin was glowing for the first 2 weeks. Then my skin broke out horribly. Ugh, so I went and bought Mario B's Healing Cream after reading the reviews on here. This stuff is awesome. I also then needed a new cleanser and moisturizer, since I was no way going back to Arbonne. I researched on here and the internet for reviews and I decided to go with this moisturizer. I really do like it, i am only on my 2nd day, but it sinks in, and my makeup goes on well with it. I cant use too much, just a tiny squirt works perfect for me. I will update if it breaks me out etc...
For reference I am 23, with combo skin, I guess, I rarely break out.
EDIT
this made the left side of my forehead break out, i dont know if it is this, combined with the cleanser and toner, but im using neutrogena fresh foaming cleanser, scrub and toner and my skin is normal again. no more MB

My skin loves this moisturizer. My skin is super sensitive combo with clogged pores in the chin area, and after a year of trying moisturizers & samples, I finally found a keeper. I use it along with the MB glycolic toner & Bliss Labs oil-free sunscreen (no chemical sunscreens). I have fewer clogged pores & blackheads after using this combo for the past 6 weeks. I saw my aesthetician today, and the first thing she said was that my skin looked great & had a healthy glow. When she looked at my skin under the light, she said my pores were cleaner & that my pores looked 10x better.

Would MB please change their packaging!! I would be willing to pay more for a their product if it was packaged better. This is a great face cream that I used morning and night. It has good ingredients, though I am not sure about the concentration of AHAs since I saw no exfoliation results as I have with true AHA formulated creams. It is gentle enough to where I would use it as an eye cream when my eye cream would run out, and lasts a long time because like most MB products, a little bit goes a long way. $20 for 2 oz that will last at least 6 months is awesome. Also it claims to be for oily, combination skin, but I have dry skin and it worked well, providing enough moisture for most days, but on dry days I require something more emollient. However, The way they package their creams is either in a tub, which has to be the worst, or a transparent squeeze bottle with a little spout that flips up and down. The problem with that is what you squirt out after the first use is cream that has been exposed sitting in the spout- like its never really closed. I think there are products out there that are just as good and packaged better-this directly effects the performance of the product and the health of your skin- so until they invest in some tubes or pump bottles, I'm not repurchasing.

Yes, I am a big MB junkie, but with good reason! This moisturizer goes on lightly and absorbs quickly. I'm not sure what the concentration of AHAs is, but it is very gentle and doesn't irritate my skin (sensitive, combo, acne-prone) at all. It does seem to be improving my skin tone and texture.

works well, no real smell, not greasy, very moisturizing. i just don't like using AHA's on my face as they can be very irritating. but if you don't mind that, this is a good moisturizer.

I am in my upper 30's with combo skin and I get cystic acne. I was breaking out horribly because I tried to switch from mineral makeup to a liquid foundation -- but, it made me break out worse than I've ever broken out. Both of my cheeks were FILLED! I have used all types of skin care, and my favorite really is Z Bigatti and Boscia's cleanser. But, the price point is SUPER high on Z Bigatti -- so, I've been out of it for about a year now.

So, when I tried this product, my skin wasn't too broken out because I had gone back to mineral makeup, but I had about 15 or so red bumps on each cheek with about 3 or 4 active cysts and some blackheads.

I was wandering around Nordstrom last weekend, and I received a sample of this and the SPF 15 with Collagen and the Botanical Gel Cleanser. I have been using these products for 7 days now, and I would say that they are simple yet elegant.

My skin doesn't feel dry at all, but it isn't oily. I use the botanical gel cleanser in the morning and at night. I also use AHA and Ceramide Moisturizer at night and the Collagen with SP15 Moisturizer in the morning.

My skin is really clearing up. There are only 2 small active cysts now -- I am almost out of the cleanser, so I don't think I've been getting enough out of the container to properly cleanse. And, there are only about 5 or 6 small red bumps on my cheeks. And, normally, the red acne scars take forever to go away. The do seem less visible.

The one thing that I really liked about Z Bigatti is that even though my face would be cleared up -- meaning, for me, that I didn't have any "active breakous" that hurt when I touched them, I had bumpy skin. Z Bigatti really retexturized my skin. And, over time, the acne scars cleared up -- though it did take about 3 or 4 months to do that. When I tried Z Bigatti, I had had the acne scars for years. So, I was really amazed at the results.

This moisturizer is very light and doesn't tighten my skin, nor does it feel oily. I think it may be responsible for retexturizing my skin. I think that I will purchase the full size of this and use it as my night cream. I would use it as the day cream, but it doesn't have an SPF -- and the SPF with Collagen is really silky feeling and makes my skin feel so soft.
