Received this as a gift. Reason i rate it so high is it is extremely concentrated and the scent lasts like no other lotion, the body wash does the same.The product is high quality.

I'm a huge fan of the smell of this. Someone else said it perfectly that if you don't like this smell, you won't like the la source line. I use it more as a fragrance than as a moisturizer. I only use it on my arms, chest, and neck. I like clean scents, soap and watery types. I hate too floral, vanilla, or sweet scents. This is a pretty unique scent so def smell it before buying. I too first tried this at a hotel in Paris so maybe it smells bourg-y to me haha.

I love this lotion!! This whole line from C&E is wonderful!!

I, too, found this porduct as a hotel amenity. After one day I went out and bought the lotion, body wash and hand cream.

I love the fact the scent lasts. It is so hard to find a clean scent from a lotion and body wash.

I think it smells fresh and clean. The body lotion goes on smooth and not at all greasy. And makes my skin very soft.

This is my new favorite, everyday scent.

Keeping in mind that I live in a humid tropical island (Singapore), the lotion absorbs into the skin very quickly as compared to other brands that I've tried. I am not a big fan of the fragrance but I would use it anyway because I received it as a gift. As it is supposed to be a relaxing body lotion, the fragrance is too strong for me to use it in the evening before bedtime. It would be very nice if the company would reduce the fragrance as I find it too overpowering to use it for bedtime.

This lotion smells like the dusky old home of a pack rat hoarding old woman that recently passed in her sleep. I put some on and went to eat my dinner, goodness gracious the smell made me lose my appetite (didn't think it was that bad before, until you eat while smelling it).
The product itself is good but because of the smell I had to reconsider buying the full size (I use the sample)

I really like all of the Crabtree lotions, but this one is my fav. I enjoy the relaxing scent and that it really will last for hours (unlike most of the B&BW lotions). The price is a little high but I feel that I am paying for the quality of the lotion and the fact that it really does work. It is a calming scent coupled with really intense moisture. I would tell anyone to buy this who is in need of some serious moisture.

I first came across this lotion as a sample in my hotel room & fell in love with the scent. I used to wear a perfume called New West that was discontinued and had been unable to find anything similar until I found this lotion. It does have a very stong and long lasting fragrance so you either love it or hate it - I love it!

I really like this body lotion because it absorbs really quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized. What I didn't like was the smell of it. The scent is way too strong and it doesn't have the "natural" smell... it is a very perfumey smell which is not good. Just by putting it all over my body, I can tell that this product is very highly fragranced which makes me think twice about whether this product will be good for me to use in the long run.
If only Crabtree and Evelyn can read the reviews on MUA and try to enhance this product by using less fragrance. I wouldn't mind if this product was fragrance free!

I LOVE the Fragrance of this lotion! In fact, as far as daily moisturizing goes it's good, but I truly wear it for the fragrance alone. It's a lovely marine fragrance -- not too much citrus, lavendar or salt.... just the right amount to make you smell fresh and clean. Some marine fragrances go too melon or cucumber sweet smelling.. and C&E La Source doesn't do that on my skin. It's lovely. I wish they made an EDT in this lovely fragrance. (WISHFUL thinking).

The lotion itself moisturizers nicely. It's not heavy or greasy at all. If you have super dehydrated skin I would go for the body cream. But for dry-oily skin this would do well.

If anyone knows of a perfume that smells like La Source --- please contact me on MUA! TIA!

Only downside of this lotion is the consistency. It has a great light everyday fragrance that has staying power but it is just not very moisturizing- and I don't have dry skin by any means.

I alternate between using this and the jojoba lotion. I love them both because they are very lightweight so they don't make my skin feel greasy. I would not recommend these products for people with dry skin though, because I don't think they would be moisturizing enough. The fragrance is difficult to describe, but it's very fresh and is indeed relaxing. I prefer the more soapy-smelling scent of the jojoba lotion, but this one is very nice as well. It's quite expensive, but it lasts me a long time and I haven't found anything that has been able to match the scent. It comes in a pump bottle which is convenient, and the packaging is very pretty on your nightstand.

Well, you have to like the scent of La Source to even consider trying the product line. It has a pronounced marine fragrance that will override anything else you're wearing! So, aside from that caveat this is a great summer lotion. It's *very* lightweight and good for those that need something refreshing and don't need a whole lot of moisture. I have countless bottles of this from my husband's business trips and I love using it in the humid spring/summer after a cool evening shower. It just makes me feel so fresh and pretty! I'll purchase if I run out.

I didn't like this at all. Despite it's called lotion I can't believe that this is like the consistency of water. IT doesn't moisturize and leaves me smelling horrible. I am used to body creams (Borghese tono cream) so maybe that's why I don't like it. Worst product from crabtree.

I actually got this as a toiletry in my hotel room and used it because the airline lost my luggage lol. I think it's a nice lotion, but not really anything special. It didn't seem to moisturize enough for me though (it was winter, might've been why) but in a humid summer climate I think it would be great. Smells pretty nice too.

I love this! Another HG. It is easy to absorb and moisturizes well. It doesn't leave any sticky feeling after application. The scent is wonderful too.

I'm addicted to this scent!!! Received a La Source spa set from a friend for Xmas and as soon as I opened it I knew it was going to be my favorite sent forever. I don't think the lotion is as emollient as I would like, but I will buy it for as long as they make it. Please CE, make it a perfume!

It smells heavenly!! Borage oil is best in maintaining skin moisture, however it does not give moisture to my skin. La source range is for normal skin only. Since my legs are dry due to frequent shaving, I have to give up this product:(

My legs are quite dry even in summer but other parts are of normal type. This lotion is very moisturising but not greasy. It also smell good - make you refresh all day!
Definitely a good choice of body lotion!
