If your looking for a nice metallic shade with a hint of rose to cool down the brass of the copper this is a beauty. Maybellines dream mousse shadows are not easy to work with. Its why people give up on them. Cream shadows in general are. I always suggest investing in good brushes. Good brushes give better results. I used a Trish McEvoy small flat brush. After applying my shadow base I then gently swept the eye shadow on. Not only were the results amazing but my eye shadow lasted 7 hours It was late in the evening when I took it off. Good price. Screw top packaging. I don't guarantee repurchases unless its a staple since I have plenty of product in the Jar. I do suggest it though.

I bought this and other colors at the Dollar Store. Unlike the others, when applying it to my lids it didn't leave any sort of shine, just a tint of color.

I personally use it as a base for my brown eye shadows, because of it's tint the colors show very well.

Like the others, you have to use your fingers to apply and it can come on clumpy.

I don't like this very much. I got a bunch of colors of these a couple weeks ago on sale for only a couple bucks each. This color was one of the shades I got. I don't like this shade at all. It's super sheer/fadish looking when on. And it's greesy. I just don't like it. But I did like some of the other colors I got. I'm in love with a couple of them lol

I have always been an avid Maybelline consumer when it comes to eye product. It has always worked and I have come to trust the brand as it is non irritating on my sensitive eyes.

I first bought this in Suede Sensation and loved it so much I went back and bought the Tranquil Rose. Of the two colours I prefer the Tranquil Rose. I have fair skin with Light brown hair and it seems to contrast my blue-green eyes perfectly. For comparison purposes I will mention I use Buff Beige Physicians Formula as my Foundation.

The product itself is very forgiving. It has the consistency as the name suggests, of a mousse. It applies to an eyeshadow brush fairly easily and can be layered for more colour. It is not overly heavy with pigment upon application. You are more likely to get a glowing hue rather than a stark dramatic look. The product has shimmer in it. When I first bought it I was unsure about whether or not I would like it. I don't usually like glitter or shimmer, but it is not so much as to be overbearing. It is very fine and seems to lend itself easily to shading.

It does not go on wet but it is not as wasteful or messy as a powder. I find that I have a lot of trouble with eyeshadows creasing with wear throughout the day. This product does not seem to crease for me except if I have it on for say over 14 or so hours. I tend to get a bit heavy-handed with my pencil eyeliner so any creasing I see is usually not due to this product anyway. An eyeshadow primer would probably help eliminate any creasing anyway.

On recollection I purchased this little pot of eyeshadow for between $5 or $6. I use it almost everyday and I have had it for over 9 months. I honestly can't remember when I bought it. I would consider that great value for money.

The pot is about 1.75 inches in diameter at the widest part and about 1 inch tall. It holds .12oz and is in a small glass bottom pot with a plastic screw top lid. The amount of product inside is not as much as you would initially believe because the glass bottom is a little chunky. I have found that a little seems to go a long way so I have not been disappointed. The glass bottom on this container makes the item have a bottom heavy feeling which can be nice when holding it in your hand. The downside to this is that if you drop it as I have, it can get chipped or possibly broken. I could see this being a potential problem for some people.

The eyeshadow has no discernible odor. I have found that the colour of the screw top lid is fairly close to the colour of the product, which helps with colour selection. To be honest with the bottom being glass that has a huge impact on helping determine the colour of the contents. It can be reworked in the container using an eyeshadow brush though I find it unnecessary as it stays stationary. I use a circular motion sweeping the eyeshadow brush along the top of the product until I see a film of eyeshadow on the brush. It is easy to apply to the eyelid and tends to blend its way onto the skin where you apply the brush. I do this a couple of times until I have achieved the level of colour desired. It is not heavy in any way and very easy to apply. I use a light makeup technique and would consider this eyeshadow to be for daywear. I would probably use a different product for evening.

I have received compliments on my eye makeup when using this product, which has never happened with other eye makeup I have used in the past. Which is always promising.

I would definitely repurchase this item again. It has become a staple in my makeup bag for its value, ease of use, colour and availability.

I absolutely love this eyeshadow--I'm a makeup addict and have pretty much forsaken my traditional powder eyeshadows for it! This is my favorite of all the shades I've tried from this line; the suede shade is second-runner-up. The rose shade looks (surprisingly; I've never liked rose/pink shades before!) very natural on my very dark-brown eyes/light-olive complexion, almost like a copperish-brown. I love the ease of application--it took only minimal practice to learn a brush-free method. It isn't too sparkly at all (I hate sparkle) and lasts and lasts on my oily complexion--even in during our Deep South summers. I have seen this on clearance at our local CVS and am stocking up--I will be crushed if this is discontinued! Do try it!!

I don't mind the fact this is a mousse/cream shadow or it's texture. It took me a while to like Dream Mousse Shadows but after a while I realize they're really handy for a wash of color on lazy days.

Tranquil Rose is a dusty rose/taupe shade.. a punch up for a stereotypical neutrals but still within the conservative side just with a warm hint of pink. It gives a nice wash that softens the face and brighten the eyes. The shade isn't anything too special but the texture is.. it's a good quite 1-2-3 way of adding color to the face with a sheer wash of color on the lid. The staying power is decent and stays on for quite a few hours without creasing (even if there is no primer). As for sanitary reasons, I always carry a retractable eyeshadow brush with me so I don't really have a problem with that... my only complaint is the packaging. I have no problem that it's in a glass jar but I wish the lid wasn't so thick? It's a waste of plastic and a waste of space.. the lid is as thick as the jar itself.

I love, love, love, love, LOVE the color of this shadow. It's my perfect neutral---a rosey soft brown that makes my green eyes stand out (even more than my other HG e/s, Covergirl's Mink). However, I'm not a huge fan of the mousse aspect: I can't apply this on the go (have to wash my hands before, so the pot stays sanitary, and after, so my hands aren't sparkly and colored) and I'm not a fan of the pot eyeshadow phenomenon. The color is so lovely that I will continue to repurchase, but I wish they made it in a powder shadow.

I have been eyeing these for some time, but was discouraged because maybelline is hit and miss for me. This color would better bedescribed as dusty rose. It is a muave-tan color. I love this stuff! Yes, the texture is different, but once you get the hang of it, the results are wonderful. I found the best way to apply is to use a flat eyelienr brush, scoop a tiny bit up, and blend into eye using short, quick strokes. It goes on very sheer, but i find it easy to build up. I use this both alone and as a base, both ways work wonderfully and i have no problems with it fading or creasing. My only rant is the chunks that you cant seam to contole. other wise, i love it. I am going to collect them all!

This is a great color! It is somewhat neutral but a little more fun than plain neutral. It looks fantastic with my dark brown eyes. These shadows can go on sheer or you can build the color to your satisfaction. They are a bit tricky to work with at first. This one is shimmery but not glitery. I have had no problems with them lasting on me. Highly recommend!

For a drugstore creme shadow, this product is a bit over-priced. Search circulars and you can find it on sale. I also found a coupon once and that is the only reason I bought this to try. The shadow is really easy to use and dries quickly. I'm very pleased with it. Don't expect much intensity from the colour payoff, but if you are looking for something subtle and pretty to wear then this is right up your alley.

I just did a review on the Vanilla Veil one. I bought them together. I really wanted to love this color and I still sort of do, however, I think the whole unsanitary aspect just ruins it for me...I would have purchased more colors if they were packaged differently and had less sparkle.....

I love this beigy, slightly pink eyeshadow, which looks really natural on, very shimmery without being over the top. Only gave it a four lippie because it is rather messy and unsanitary to have to dip your finger into the small pot. Why doesn't Maybelline NY make an accompanying foam applicator to use with this? It is pretty hard to control the color to get an even coating on the lids. Other than that, not a bad eyeshadow product.

i fell in love with the DM blushes, so i just had to try out the new shadows. the texture and packaging are the same as the blushes, only the shadows are a bit smaller. tranquil rose is a dusty almost *coppery* rose with shimmer in the pot and is the same upon application. there is NO CREASING and NO FADING. i love these!
