Let me start by saying that I was not using this cleanser under "normal" circumstances.
For 5 weeks I suffered from burning, picking, hot skin, which I suppose is a flare of rosacea.
An appointment with a derm ended in the wrong medikation and diagnosis.
While I was waiting 3 weeks for a second appointment with another derm, I was quite desperate, because I didnīt know what to do with my skin. I gave up any usual make up and skincare regimen and left my skin alone. But even if I could give up cleansing in the morning, I wanted to have a cleanser for the evening. I first used my well-trusted Eucerin re-balance. It was quite good, but my skin was in a desolate state.
Then, one day, I talked to a colleague and she had rosacea too and said, she used the LRP Rosaliac line. I went and bought the AR intense and as it worked good on my skin, I went and got the micellar cleanser.
The cleanser is a clear gel, thatīs not foaming. Itīs gelly, odorless and leaves a cooling sensation.
I use the method of Isabell Bellis: Wetting my face with thermal water, spreading the cleanser in my hands and using light circular motions on my face to spread the cleanser. After that, I rinse the cleanser with cool water. The instructions say, you can use it without water, but I prefer to rinse my cleansers. Then I dab my face with a towel and follow with a spray of thermal water to calm down my skin and erase the effects of our hard tap water.
Honestly the cleanser is a little more drying than my usual cleansers. I prefer milk or cream cleansers for my skin. but in this flare of rosacea, I felt better with a light, cooling gel cleanser and I take the side effect of a little drier feel after cleansing. Donīt get me wrong, the cleanser doesnīt leave my face cracking dry or flaking, but my usual cleansers leave a film on my skin and this one doesnīt. May also be because I donīt tissue it off, but rinse it off.
It contains paraben, silicones and triethanolamine. In case you donīt like these ingredients, donīt use this cleanser. It also contains thermal water, caffeine and ascorbyl glucoside (mild form of vitamin c), which are the ingredients to help the rosacea skin plus glycerin for moisture. If these ingredients really can work if I rinse the cleanser and donīt leave it on my skin, I dont know.
Probably the best about this cleanser is, that it cools down my skin and feels like a splash of cool air on my face. I almost couldnīt believe it.
As Iīm not able to use make up or sunscreen at the moment, the cleansing power is enough at the time. I guess I wonīt be able to use make up or sunscreen for quite a while, so I just use this cleanser up and weīll see.
I will buy this cleanser again, but only if I have a special need for this cleanser during a flare of rosacea. Otherwise I stick with my usual cleansers.
Every skin is different, so this one might or might not work for your skin. It would be ideal to test this with a sample if thatīs possible.
I would recommend for people with sensitive skin or rosacea to try this, if your skin can take the ingredients.

Doesn't take off all make up... And the worst thing is that my cheeks become red and irritated when I use it. I have rosacea and a little sensitive skin. I need a more soft and gentle cleanser. I won't buy it again.

This is another of my repeat buys going back many years. I do have Rosacea and this is a great quick cleanser that doesn't dry or irritate my skin, leave a film or make me break out. It won't remove heavy eye makeup or waxy mascaras, but it does get rid of most of what I wear everyday without too much rubbing.

I don't have sensitive skin so I can't say if this is particularly irritating but I did find it an average gel makeup remover. Feels good but requires a bit more rubbing than I normally like. I might repurchase at a lower price but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I had high hopes for this product since it is meant for rosacea skin-types. Unfortunately, it was way too drying and DID NOT effectively remove all traces of make-up without rubbing as the company claims it will. Too bad- it was very expensive.

I have tried this product from a sample and am not impressed. Simply, it does not take off makeup up well. I wear liquid mineral foundation, use a pencil eyeliner and mascafra. The cleanser leaves behind a fair amount of makeup and I end up looking like I've been crying with my makeup on for 5 days. Now if you want a mild daily cleanser just to clean your face, before makeup, this product works well. It leaves your skin soft, not tight or dry.

This actually removed my Clinique Almost Makeup Foundation and Almost Powder foundation really well, I was surprised. I applied a thick layer with my hands and then removed with large cotton pads. My face was free of makeup but there was a film left behind, that's why I gave it a 4 instead of 5. I find Clinique TTDO Balm more effective and it leaves no film behind.

i have been using samples of this for about a month now, (yes given a very generous amt of them). i have very reactive skin, rosacea like symptoms though i have a med condition that kills off my moisture glands which is likey the cause of those. my sensitive skin goes haywire with most things. i like this cleanser a lot. i use it for face and eyes, applying on a moistened cotton round then using another wet/clean one, then rinsing finally. this does remove all eye mu and foundation even revlon cs and concealer. it leaves what feels like a film at first on your skin, but that adds moisture to my skin i feel.

its not inexpensive but i am now going to buy the full size. i have not experienced any negative reactions from this and finding gentle products like that is next to impossible. plus the bottle will last a long time since even a little from the samples goes a long way.

This is a very soothing and mild cleanser that removes makeup even stubborn mascara very effectively. It leaves my face smooth, soothed but not greasy in the slightest. Although the instructions say that you can wipe this off and not have to rinse with water, I just skip the wiping off part and rinse with water. By not leaving any residue on my skin, I can apply other products without buildup on my skin. So far, no breakouts or irritation from this product after a couple of weeks of use. I will definitely repurchase when I finish this bottle.

I got this cleanser as a sample also. I could use it about 4 times.
I have oily sensitive skin and the cleanser felt very nice on the skin, indeed a little cooling. I removed it with water, after that my skin didn't feel very comfortable. This is a non foaming gel cleanser, I think a cream cleanser is more soothing to the skin after rinsing.

I will not buy the product, because there are some problematic ingredients in it, like the paraben and triethanolamine.

I got this as a sample. It removes all makeup easily, not fussy. It does leave my face a little dry afterward. Overall, I like it and would purchase again.

Great oil-free makeup remover for hard-to-remove foundations. One of the best gel make up remover I have tried.

i got this as a sample when i bought other products from them, i have to say though i am not impressed. i cant say i felt the cooling sensation other reviewers did and it simply did not remove my make up, particularly my eye make up.the most i would ware on a daily bases is a non water proof mascara, so i would not have imagined that removing this would of been too much hard work.as i said i got this as a sample so i cant comment on value for money, but as a make up remover i was not impressed im afriad.

I got these as samples from CVS and I had no idea it was for rosacia. I used it primarily for eyemakeup removal and I loved it. So many removers either burn, irriatate or leave my eyes feeling oily but this was great. I found that if i dampen a cotton pad with a little water and then use it it even works better. It feels nice and cool on the eyes and leaves no residue. Very nice!

My rosacean friends uses this product and loves it. Her skin is drier and less acne prone than myself. I do like this product particularly for winter, it calms my Retin A'd skin, and I love the way that a cotton pad dampened with Rosaliac just glides across the face with no dragging whatsoever. What I like less, however, is that this leaves a somewhat tacky finish on my skin that takes some time to dissipate, probably from the high content of glycerine. I suppose, one can always rinse with water if necessary. Rosaliac also does not remove my heavy makeup very well and is best suited as a morning cleanser.

Great for people with Rosacea or delicate skin! It is very cooling and cleans nicely. I would however recommend using their eye makeup remover in conjunction.

I am a big fan of tissue of cleansers. I find anything that requires water to use it dries my skin, which in turn leads to skin problems. My skin is combination to dry, and slightly sensitive. i also have very sensitive eyes, and eye make up remover has to be the most gentle possible for me. This is one in a long line of products I've tried as cleansers, in search for a HG.
The packaging is great: good size bottle, clear, pump dispenser.
The product itself is a clear gel cleanser, can be tissued of or rinsed off. I apply it with a cotton pad or ball.
In terms of makeup removing, it does a good job: eye makeup comes off with no rubbing. As a cleanser though, this feels like it needs the adition of a toner or even just a brief rinse with a washcloth and water. I suppose the feeling of a gel gives me the sensation of residue on my skin.
This product is not drying, and great for my sensitive skin and eyes. I wil not repurchase due to the texture.
As a side note, my search has led me to find Avene's micelar lotion the best of the tissue off cleansers for sensitive skin.

Tried this for a week and here are my thoughts: A decent makeup remover for the summer months. Cool gel feels great on skin, especially when I'm oilier than normal at the end of the day. This is quite gentle but does remove the majority of my make up well and seems to work on my sunscreen. Great packaging - I love the pump - easy to see how much product is left. My only complaint is that it tends to be a little drying, so I use it as a night cleanser only. I've been trying a more gentle, creamy cleanser in the shower a.m.s to compliment this product (LRP Toleriane cleanser). UPDATE: 07/13/07 I have been using this both morning and night because I found the Toleriane to be a bit too heavy feeling for the summer. Still a bit drying, but I always moisturize after. UPDATE 08/08/07 finished my first bottle, but will not repurchase b/c I'm happier with Clinique's TTDO balm for removing ss and makeup at night. Will not repurchase as long as I can get TTDO!!

A light blue pump bottle filled with clear gel that you can tissue off or rinse. Takes off eyemakeup like a dream. I did notice that I need a toner to get rid of sunscreen if I am wearing a tonne of it, but it beats Spectrogel cetaphil, AND Paulas Choice in the makeup removal department even though they have similar gel like consistencies.

If the price point was better I would repurchase, but it doens't have any effect on my rosacea postive or negative

best cleanser of all time for sensitive or reactionary skin. Will not irritate even if you recleanse twice or three times to remove heavier makeup. Very handy pump action. Very highly recommended for anyone who has a tendency to break out from ordinary facial cleansers
