I absolutely love this product. I use a lot of gel products and my nails become so thin when I remove the gel coat. I use this after I remove the gel. Apply 2 coats initially and then reapply a coat a day for about a week and it's like they are refreshed when I remove the polish. I also use it as a base and top coat.

I haven't used this for long, maybe three weeks. My nails always start to peel when winter is coming, and this base coat hasn't changed that. I do think that I've had less peeling than usual though, only on two nails, but instead my nails have actually been breaking in the corners more than ever before. I need to use this product a bit longer to see if it works, but I thought I'd describe what has happened so far. (I have hard, dry nails that peel… and now break, um.)
The big problem that I have with it is that it makes my nail polish chip extremely fast. When I used it combined with Trind Nail Balsam, Orly It's not Rocket Science and Seche Vite, it all actually just … fell off the next day. As in it came off in one piece. Really strange. I bought it on Ebay, and thought at first that it was some sort of fake. With other brands of polish and without the Trind Nail Balsam it lasts better, but still starts to chip after only one day and starts to fall of in big shreds after a few more days.
This can be both good and bad. I've bought a new bottle of Essie Nourish Me, and only use the Nailtek one when I know that I'm not gonna want to use remover, like with glitters or red polish. I then use one layer of Trind Nail Balsam and two layers of Nailtek, which is a combination I can be sure will NOT last.

This product is a miracle worker. It really saved my nails!
The III formula is for hard nails that peel/are brittle. That's what I have: hard nails that don't bend or break, but peel. Regular nail strenghteners make your nails harder and that's not what I need - I need moisture. After a bit of a drama with a remover I turned out to be allergic to, my nails were a complete mess and they just wouldn't get better. They were peeling like crazy and I had these weird horizontal ridges on my nails. From the moment I started using this I noticed a big improvement, and after a couple of weeks my nails were totally fine again! They have stopped peeling completely and on the new growth of my nails the ridges are gone. My nails are now strong and long again. I'm so amazed, because I think it actually glues the nail plates back together or something. It even worked on 'existing' peelies. I would've thought it would only work on the new growth and the peelies had to grow out, but they're just gone and my nails are only 1/3 new (I can tell because of the ridges).
The only downside to this product is that if I wear this underneath colored polish, my manicure doesn't last as long. My mani starts chipping after 2-3 days, while without this I can make my manicure last chip-free for at least 7 days. So if I wear a color on my nails, I won't wear this. When I wear color I want it to last, because it's much more of a hassle to put on. In the beginning I used to have this on my nails every day, but now that my nails are healthy again I use it as a treatment in between manicures. I'll put it on, without adding color, and apply a new layer every day for 3-4 days. The good thing is that my nails are so healthy now, that they actually look pretty good naturally without color and I don't mind not wearing any. After 3-4 days it starts to chip so I'll remove it and then I'll either do the same over again or I'll put on a colored mani for about a week. After that I'll do a treatment again and so on. This keeps my nails in perfect shape.
If you don't usually wear the same polish for more than 3 days, there should be no problem at all.
I also purchased the hydration therapy III, and I don't really know what the difference is. Both work equally well for my nails, though I feel that the hydration therapy has to be sealed in by another polish or else it'll come right off. Both work the same miracles for me. I use them interchangeably or sometimes at the same time (one layer of therapy, then a layer of protection). When I run out I don't know which one I'll repurchase. Probably protection plus because does better on it's own.
- actually works: no more peeling & no more ridges
- makes nail polish chip faster on me
Overall I am extremely pleased with this product, and despite that it makes my polish chip faster, I'll definitely repurchase. I just use it as a treatment in between manicure's and thanks to this product my nails look great without a manicure anyway.
Update: I found a solution for the chipping problem. When I wear a colored manicure, I'll use the Nailtek Founation III instead. This one works great too and it doesn't chip. It does leave your nails matte though, so if you're not applying any other color on top of it you'll need to use a clear polish over it (unless you want matte looking nails).

I've been using this for three weeks and I can definitely tell the difference in my nails! They're still quite short but they don't peel or bend anymore, I can't wait to see what they're like after longer use.
The directions say to use it as a basecoat for your polish, do your manicure as usual, paint another coat over the polish once it's dry, then paint a coat over it every day for a week. My manicures usually last only 3-4 days, but I still follow the directions and haven't noticed anything odd. I use Seche Vite as a topcoat, so I just apply this over it. I like that it keeps my nails extra shiny from day to day.
This was around $9 at Ulta, so the price isn't too bad. I haven't used too much of it in two weeks but I can't say how long the bottle will last. I do think it's worth it, though, for the results that I've seen so far. This is much more powerful and effective than other strengthening treatments I've used.

The whole line...awesome product. I have nails that are brittle and chip easily, this stuff works!! But it really works. So, you are supposed to only use it every other day for about a week---then take a week off. Then back on. Not continuously. It actually is purported to cause the layers of your nails to bond together for strength. Also--beware nail salons that sell this---it should NOT be yellowish/sallow in color. That indicates an old batch or one left sitting under lights or in the sun in the window. It should be a cool, clear, almost with a very slight bluish tinge (like other nail strengtheners). When it turns yellowis it looks nasty and won't last long. Also--get the "thinner" product to add to the bottle when it is half down. Worth the price--unlike most nail polish that you have to throw away at half a bottle, you can use the whole thing (for once)! LOV IT!!!

Great nail strengthener for hard, brittle nails. I finally found a product that doesn't peel right off my nails. I use it every day as a top coat over my polish and a base when I start out. Price was about 9.95.
