bewitching brews
notes: rosemary, orange flower, grape spirit, five rose variants, lemon peel, and mint.
in the vial: the rosemary is FIGHTING the other notes in a way that so bizarre and stank that i wouldnt even recognize it if i wasnt familiar with the scent of fresh rosemary. other than that, its a nice (yet strange) citrus mint.
wet on skin: kinda weird and dusty. it reminds me a bit of ozymandias, but an inferior version. dusty-lemon-rose. sigh. i was hoping that the grape and mint would stand out a bit more, but this seems like a very typical and boring rose scent once it hits the skin.
dry down: after 30 mintues, this is a very, very pretty lemony rose. nothing more, nothing less. after that, i get rosewood or sandalwood, and this makes the blend much more interesting.
verdict: i do like lemony rose, but i already have several varations on this theme. if i didnt have any in my collection, i would definitely want a full bottle of this for layering

I was sent an imp of this from my friend, and I tried it. Immediately, everyone asked me, "what is that AMAZING smell?" I wasn't too sure I loved the scent (even though I love Queen Bess I) but since I have gotten compliments on it, I will definitely repurchase in the future. It's also grown on me a lot.

Weird body chemistry strikes again. I get grape when this is wet, and then...potpourri (must be the roses). It's a nice enough scent, very sweet, powdery-feminine and pretty, but not really for me.

I was really amazed at how much I loved this scent. I liked the sound of all of the individual notes, but I wasn't sure that together they would produce something totally amazing, but boy, was I wrong. In the bottle I can smell orange with an herbal undertone, but on me it turns into a mint scent with citrus and herbs. It's very nice- a fresh and clean scent, also one that's somewhat light and delicate. I'm definitely going to have to get a big bottle of this.

Inspired by the tragic, ill-fated love of Queen Elizabeth I and the Earl of Leicester. This is our modernization of a 17th-century perfume blend favored by British aristocracy: rosemary, orange flower, grape spirit, five rose variants, lemon peel, and mint. (Gender neutral)
When I first applied this, all I could smell was something wet and green like moss and dirt. It was icky and cloying. But after the first 15 minutes or so, it mellowed out into a really lovely fruity/floral. The light crispness of the grape is the predominant note on me, followed by a soft bit of rose and orange flower, and far, far in the background the lemon peel peeks out here and there. It turned into quite a pretty fragrance after all. I doesn't have the "WOW" factor that would entice me to buy a full bottle, but I'll definitely enjoy the rest of my imp and who knows, possibly purchase another imp sometime down the road.
