I just love the sweet smell and how much product you get for hardly any money. I love that I can finally only spend $2 on a huge bottle of shampoo and conditioner, as opposed to $20 for something I run out of immediately. Poor college students like myself, you need to try this out! I've been using this for a week and my hair is unbelievably smooth and soft- all I do is just put some argan oil in my hair after I've washed it and it feels amazing. I don't understand how or why it works so well since this has sulfates, but I'm not complaining! I will continue to keep using it until it disappoints, can't get enough of the smell!

I originally bought the shampoo and conditioner based on the smell and the price (each were $2.99). I hadn't read the reviews on here until after, and I was a bit nervous to use them after reading all the negative reviews. However, I was incredibly pleased to find how soft my hair has been since I started using these two! I usually have to wash with dandruff shampoo one day, then regular the next just to control my flakes, and I haven't had to use the dandruff shampoo for a few days. My hair has been incredibly soft, and I find it holds my natural wave a lot better. I would definitely recommend this to any girl who's on a budget!

This is a good all-purpose shampoo that I use only occasionally for myself.
I find that Suave is the best for my DOG. I have a Jack Russell whose coat thrives on this type of shampoo. No more allergies, no more scratching and no more redness for my dog. He is the third dog I've owned and I have used Suave on all of them. The vet said to "use what works" after the dog broke out in a rash from one of the prescription shampoos. Forget all the hype about only using "dog shampoos" with "perfect pH". Baloney! Suave seems to calm my dog's skin.

Very meh. I find that shampoos don't particularly differ at all to me. If they clean, they're fine. I haven't met a shampoo that doesn't strip my hair. It's sweet smelling, and it doesn't strip my hair completely. That makes it a winner in my book.

This stuff smells good but don't purchase it based on the smell! It left my thin color treated hair feeling very dry, tangled, and stripped the color out of it. For now on if I purchase Suave, I will be sticking to the Suave Professionals Shampoo...It leaves my hair feeling much more healthy and moisturized.

Worst shampoo I have ever used. This made my hair literally feel like straw! And it washed out my color horribly. Definitely don't use this if you have colored hair. Maybe this would work ok for someone with oily hair? I also used this for a body wash like a moron. Just for a few days and my skin became so dry it flaked, itched, and stung. If it does that to your skin what's it doing to your hair right?

Out of all of the Suave shampoos that I have tried (cherry blossom, tangerine, daily clarifying, waterfall mist, pomegranate, some of the professionals), this is the only one that doesn't completely dry out my hair. It actually leaves my hair clean & shiny. It has a sweet candy/ strawberry scent. Works well as a bubble bath & shower gel, too. A huge 22 ounce bottle is only $2.

I also use this for everything! I thought I was the only one who used it to wash my face, body and hair. I love using it in a cool shower as a body and face wash after a long shift at work. I can just feel it lathering away all the grime. It cleans well without making my skin feel too dry. I love the smell. Plus it's super cheap.

I use this shampoo for everything! Facewash, bodywash, bubble bath, AND shampoo! Oddly enough as a bodywash it leaves my skin super soft. I mix it with fine salt and use it to wash/scrub my face. Lathers nicely, beautiful red color, and smells of sugared strawberry. Extremely inexpensive as well. I got mine at Kroger for $1.07. Marvelous! Perfumes the whole bathroom, quite lovely. Definite multitasking product.

You get what you pay for. I didn't buy it for the scent, because it smells cheap and fake, very cloying. But the reviews for this one in particular were pretty good, and I thought for like $1 I should try it out since everyone likes it.
Dried my hair out BAD, and this is despite using a heavy conditioner after. My hair has felt damaged, fragile, and dry for the past couple months, and I had blamed it on the elements, tying it back for work, etc. But no, it was this cheap shampoo. Plus I got flakes. I never get flakes, where did these come from?? So apparently it was depositing product and/or drying my scalp out badly as well.
Spend an extra dollar or two and just get a decent shampoo. This stuff wasn't worth the $1 or so I paid for it.
*NOTE: For reference, my hair is straight, fine, and silky. Or at least, it was silky til I started using this stuff.

I had high hopes for this considering the rating (3.8), especially when I smelled it at Walmart. I love the scent! However, the scent can not make up for this horrible shampoo. The first few days was okay; the smell did not stay. But now, about weeks into using it, I'm starting to get flakes in my hair! I have not had any since years. I have buildup and I do not even use any products. My head is crazy itchy. The shampoo is horrible!

Giving a one just for scent.

PS My hair is usually oily.

I've been using this strawberry shampoo for a long time now. Probably since I was a little kid. My hair has always been shiny and healthy. I really like this scent! In fact, I love all of the Suave Naturals scents. These days I don't really go for this strawberry one anymore though. I usually go for the coconut or tangerine, probably because for most of my life my parents have usually only bought the strawberry one since it was like the only one they offered at Superstore until they began selling these ones there too. Anyways, Suave shampoos and conditioners work miracles for my hair. Definitely one of my favourite shampoo brands. Will repurchase.

I used this shampoo recently because I have no other shampoo available.

This shampoo is horrible. It gives me flakes, can only keep my hair looking non-oily for 1 day (versus my garnier shampoo which is 2 days), makes my hair feel coarse & REALLY frizzy! Its horrible. Do not recommend at all.

I have wavy hair and this was the worst shampoo for it. It dried it out and made it frizzy. Maybe this works better on straight hair...I gave it an extra point for scent though.

I grew up in a family of six with a limited income. Suave and V05 shampoos were the staples of my childhood. My mom always bought either the green apple or the strawberry Suave. I always had healthy hair as a kid. Sometimes I indulge in higher brand shampoos now but still come back to this from time to time as a reliable shampoo that reminds me of my childhood. Nice sweet scent, great lather, and rinses clean.

Pure aromatherapy after a long day. The quality of the shampoo is mirrored in its price. It works in a snap, but made my hair feel dry with daily use after about a week. wild strawberries scented my shower and my hair for a few hours after...yum.

This shampoo gently gets my fine, dry hair clean without stripping it. The matching conditioner is a little wimpy for my hair, but this shampoo works well, and smells good too. Update 9/16/08: I still like this shampoo for use once in awhile, but daily use leaves my hair a little dull looking. And something in this leaves my hair feeling sticky as it's drying. I do like that Suave Naturals shampoos don't make my scalp itchy, whereas most other shampoos do. It's still worth a try.

I tried this because I hate silicone, can't use protein on my hair, and I have a terrible time with fragrances. I used Aura Chamomile shampoo for years until they discontinued it - and then switched to Bain de Terre Jasmine Moisturizing, which I liked very much, but then they changed it. I've tried every shampoo out there and they are all either really heavy or really drying. Because many people consider this more clarifying, I thought it would be too drying, and I did find that true for the Strawberry, which also irritated my hands and made them red. But I noticed that the different "flavors" of the Suave have slightly different ingredients, and I tried the Cucumber Melon, which seems to work better for me. It's not irritating and it's not as drying for my hair. I'm using it consistently, and am really liking it. Surprisingly, the Green Apple was kind of heavy for my hair (but it has glycerin).

agree with the previous reviewer. my caucasian friends use this, and they have no problem with it. their hair looks great. but for my non-caucasion friends and me (i'm asian) it makes our hair poofy and dry! boooooo.. i really wanted this to work somewhat decent for me, because i love the smell, and it's sooo cheap! it made my hair really squeeeeaky.. which isn't a good thing for me.
