I strongly dislike this foundation. I mostly got it to substitute for the concealer of the same brand, and I instantly regretted it.
I hate the packaging, which comes with this awful brush attached to the top so you have to apply the product with the brush. In my opinion, I should be able to decide how to apply my products myself. I cut off the bristles, but then the product just got stuck around the base. As far as I can tell, the brush is just a gimmick to waste foundation so you have to buy more sooner. Even worse: you can't clean it, so who knows what kind of bacteria are growing in this?
The color slips all over the place and it's impossible to control. Even worse: it leaks out of the package when you aren't using it. It doesn't even do a great job covering you! I hate wasting money, but even I will probably throw this away.

Bottom line:
I will never, ever buy this again. It provides minimal coverage, slips all over the face, and has the worst packaging I have ever seen. I could rant about how awful this is for hours, but frankly, it isn't worth the time or effort.

I usually love Loreal but this foundation is just not working for me. I dont know if I got a bad batch. It has no coverage and no staying power and streaks. For me it has been a big waste. it really deserves to be taken back. but Its too late I cant find the receipt. Im just using it now just to go pick my daughter up from school. But Im really not happy I used to be able to count on all Loreal products giving outstanding performance but lately I have been disappointed in the way alot of their products perform. Some reviews say good amount of coverage but not with my bottle It has no coverage what so ever and leaves my skin really greasy after 2 hours. The only way I have been able to use it when I mix it with another one of my foundations with alpha hydroxy and use it With some minor success. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a foundation In the future I will hang on to my receipts when I buy Loreal

Cakey, heavy feeling, turns orange. Emphasized every dry area or fine line on me. Great coverage though, unfortunately it just sucked.

It is a pretty good foundation, the only bad thing i have to say about it, is that it is VERY hard to apply it naturaly, throughout the day you tend to find foundation stripes on your face, no matter how you apply it. (Yes, I tried every possible way)

I was so excited to get my hands on a few brand new tubes of this discontinued foundation as I just love full coverage foundations. Now this is pretty close to full coverage with one application (although I guess you could sheer it down a bit if you tried). I loved the coverage and the colour match (natural beige) was perfect for my NC25 skin. The only problem is, after a couple days of wearing this, i started to get pimples all over my face.!!! YEP!! I have hears of others getting pimples after a few weeks, my skin only took 2 days!!

Also i noticed that after a few hours of wear, the nice semi-matte finish disappeared and left a sheeny shine on my face. Not happy. It starts off so well. I have normal to slightly oily skin, I dont often get pimples and I hate any prodcut that causes them! I think this would be suitable for someone with dry skin, and NOT ever prone to pimples (if there is anyone out there so fortunate).

Loved this product at first. Goes on pretty smoothly, but I happened to catch my reflection in natural light and thought, "OMG, I look like I'm wearing pancake makeup from the 1950's". No matter how hard I've tried, I can't get this to look natural and even. Also, like another poster, my skin started breaking out after about three weeks of using this product.

This review is for the discontinued formula in the tube. I was rummaging through my make up boxes and found this, unopened. Normally I wear MAC Studio Fix in NC25, but ran out and am waiting for it to arrive. So I've been playing with other foundations until it comes in.

The Visible Lift in the tube is a thick, rich formula - I need a pea sized amount for full coverage. It goes on smoothly and leaves a radiant finish - not quite as oily as the current Visible Lift, and virtually no oxidizing. I skip using a foundation brush with application, it seems to cling to the brush, and I end up using more product. I carefully blend it with my fingers, and have been skipping concealor because the coverage is excellent. I haven't noticed any patchiness, and it seems to last throughout the day.

Cons: No longer available. Covering an acne spot is harder and setting with tinted powder (Chanel) turns the color. I'm going powderless for now.

I have sensitive combination skin, both slightly oily and dry at the same time, as well as prone to acne breakouts. While this foundation glided smoothly on my face and covered up the dry, flaky spots I had, it made my face look extremely shiny and greasy. No matter how much powder I put on to attenuate the shine, I was still a glossy mess. Definitely best for someone with very dry skin.

This is an update to my previous review on this, after using this foundation for about 3 weeks I have a total of 15 zits on my face!!! it made my face greasier than anything! my family said they hadn't seen my face ever so broken out,I bought it on sale while I was strapped for cash, it is not worth buying a cheaper makeup than you are used to, I would rather wear no makeup at all if this is all they had! I am trying to get my skin cleared up and have gotten my Mary kay back, even if it did break the bank, it is worth it opposed to wrecking havoc on my skin!

This is a great ds foundation, It eally is full coverage and looks natural, I have to use concealer after i use MUFE HD, but when i use this i dont. Also when it goes on sale at cvs, its a bargain. For me,. the only downside is that its too pink on me. Im fair, with yellow undetones, if there was a better color match for me it would be my hg. The finish is great, not matte, not greasy either. im sad:( i use this when i cant afford high end, but i then get sick of the pinkness and go back.
UPDATE:
This has been discontinued as of a few months ago.

I thought I'd never find a good foundation, but this is it. I can agree with previous posters that it CAN get greasy, especially if you have combinationa oily skin (like me) and when its a bit humid outside, but for me once it settles into the skin it is fine. Also, it hasn't caused any blemishes and I have been using for a month. This absolutely covers and makes the skin look even and natural. The color selection is also great. I don't like the bottle it comes in, but it isn't awful. I will definitely keep buying this product, it is a great price but acts like a higher end product.

I think I'll go back and get a second one from my local CVS because it was 75% off and I love the color and coverage of it. It does not settle into or highlight my lines, my pores are a little more obvious with it, but I can live with that. It covers my acne scars so i don't need to use concealer on them. I will update if it breaks my out or oxidizes.

ETA: I lowered the score by 2 lippies because even though it is a good color match, it doesn't wear well and the coverage gets patchy by the end of the day.

I like this foundation a lot, it can feel a little greasy but I like that it doesn't settle under my eyes like most foundations after I set with my Maybelline Dream Matte powder. I have this in Soft Ivory I remember seeing it in Pale a while ago.. But they seem to have changed the stands and no longer sell Pale. Soft Ivory isn't almost right, but a tad dark for my pale pale skin. I find that this is great to mix with my L'Oreal True Match in Porcelain (which is a little dry in texture and settles under the eyes but is almost a perfect match just a little too light).. Mixed together they are a perfect combo. This doesn't seem to break me out, which I'm surprised at.

Though this is nice coverage, it's very greasy on my oily face. The temperature is only mid to high 70F in my area but I had to blot every now and then, ~ every half an hour. After blotting, my face looked good and lasted until I washed my face as soon as got back home around 6pm. My freckles around my nose are still visible with this "full coverage" MU on. I have buff for my Asian medium skin tone. Not practical for everyday wear MU. Nice packaging in a tube and often BOGO or buy MU and get blush free at DS.

I love that this is "Extra" coverage while it doesnt feel like it. Makeup just melts into my skin and makes me feel beautiful. A small amount covers alot... if I feel i need more.. i just add it. Never cakes or looks like I'm wearing a mask.

I have tried Extra coverage or FULL coverage makeup's before - and this one cuts the cake. I dont really need full coverage - but hate makeup that comes out looking sheer - especially since I dont have PERFECT skin...but i also dont have TERRIBLE skin. Great for those evening out with the girls or your man. I know I can go out confident knowing that my makeup won't wipe off on my clothes or wear off during the night. I use a light powder to set with and I am out the door!

Will def keep purchasing. :)

UPDATE: Took two lippies off for breakouts, increased redness, and midday oiliness. ORIGINAL: Overall, I'm pleased with this foundation. I like that you can build the coverage depending on whether I use my fingers, brush, or makeup sponge. The color selection is not super great, but soft ivory seems pretty close and if I need darker for spring, I'll just use bronzer. The other colors are all too pink based. It sits well on Garnier Skin Renew moisture lotion. It leaves a slight sheen, but in a nice glowy kind of way. I use Retin A at night and wanted something for during the day, so this seemed to fit the bill (sunscreen, foundation, retinol!). It does NOT settle in my fine lines or pores. I don't know how it will hold up in spring/summer humidity of Minnesota.

Found my HG Foundation. I'm in Love - It not only has a great color for my fair skin but it is great! I have tried everything possible from the most expensive to mineral makeup to cheap. Think I found it.

I bought extra bottles cause anytime I LOVE something it becomes discontinued.

Thick and greasy and cakey. True, it does cover quite well and leave a nice matte finish, but it is impossible to get perfect. Once it's on you can feel every pore being clogged. Not for acne-genic skin, although it is tempting for the full-coverage. Don't try it. On the plus side, it matches my impossible fair skin and blends okay on my neck.

Gah! What is with the silicone in EVERYTHING? Bought this after all the great reviews because I find I'm still on the hunt for the HG of foundations (since Biotherm stopped selling in the US). At first I thought this would be a good choice. Applied smoothly, seemed to last. Then I noticed little blobs of makeup on my vanity where the product had spurted without me even realizing. I'll just be more careful. Then I used it again today and....when I went outside realized how masky and dry my skin looked. Did I use too much? I don't think so. But all the silicone tends to dry my skin. It's going back to CVS.

This a good foundation. I am on a quest for a new foundation as I heard that Estee Lauder double wear which I have worn for years is going to be discontinued and now I am getting older I am finding that it is starting to settle in the fine lines. I thought I would try the lower end of the price range and this was my first try. It blends easily and gives a medium/full coverage without the mask effect and truly doesn't settle into the lines or dry the skin out and gives a very pretty flawless and natural look. I am fairly pale and the nude beige is a great match. The only reason it doesn't get a full score and this is a biggie for me is that it doesn't hold up well under the strain of time. I like my foundation to stay put and I have a feeling the more expensive foundations may do a better job of this. I don't think it will fair so well when the summer heat comes. Those of us who live in Texas will know what I mean! That said for now I am happy to use it and it hasn't been tossed in the back of my closet yet and if I needed a cheaper back up this foundation is more than adequate. I would definately buy it again for the winter.

UPDATE I have binned this. Its OK and will work well fora good few hours but it doesn't hold up that well and wears off in a rather unpleasant way around the nose and cheeks only.
