I used to work for Lancome, and got this for my gratis once. Having only ever used the likes Neutrogena and Aveeno sunscreen on my face, I was desperately in need of an everyday matte sunscreen for under makeup that wouldn't break me out or leave my face an oil slick. This was just OK. It's too highly perfumed for my skin, and is slightly irritating, although it does have a nice texture and is better than the two aforementioned brands. If you need a matte, every day sunscreen, spring for the Obagi SPF 50. It's so worth it.

This review is for the SPF 30. Not actually sure why it happened, but this cream actually burned my skin. I ended up with a nasty rash that took 2 weeks to heal. I was using the lotion formula with good results but wanted a bit heavier formula for my dry skin so I switched to the cream so I would not have to layer 2 products. Bad mistake for my sensitive skin. Although the ingredients are somewhat the same as the lotion, the reactions were not. I'll be going back to the lotion of the Multi-Vital./

A very rich cream with the unfortunate side-effect of balling up under a light moisturizer, a first for me, which made it completely unsuitable for daily wear or wearing with even light coverage makeup.

This review is actually for the SPF 30. I bought this and I really like it. My skin is super dry and my acne medicine makes it worse. I’ve been looking for a sunscreen that is a moisturizer too in order to cut down time in the morning getting ready for work. On the weekends I use a higher SPF so I still use separate moisturizer and sunscreen but for the work week this works perfect.

Really disappointed in this. The SA recommended it as an 'age prevention' product, rather than going to the 30+ Primordiale range, as my skin is doing pretty well. It sounded like a great idea - antioxidants and SPF - and when I first put it on, I liked the light texture and mild scent.
However, within an hour it had balled up and my make up looked a mess - I looked like I was covered in lint! I tried it with and without primer, with 3 different foundations....and it still does it. It was so pricy that I have been using it on my neck to try not to waste it and it even balls up there! I will finish the jar as a night cream but I am really disappointed, especially considering the price. Don't think I will be purchasing Lancome skin care again.

I got this as a sample, and disregarded it as it looked too heavy for my combination skin. However, one day I ran out of my normal moisteriser, and was not going to have a chance to get to the shops for a few days, and my skin was a bit dry, so I thought why not? Well here's why not: greasy, doesn't spread easily, and though I left it to absorb for 10 mins, my makeup didn't go on nicely. Also over the day my makeup balled up and went all flaky and white, in weird spots where I don't get flakey - like on my temples. Enough so that people commented. I ended up rubbing off my makeup with a tissue in those areas just to get rid of it. I used it for a few days untill I could get to the shops, and in that time broke out much more than I normally do. I will never use this again. Also I hated putting my fingers into a jar, it goes up your fingernails and is gross!

I've been on the market for a day moisturizer that will provide sun protection, moisturize and give me a light tan at the same time. I know I can easily go get a self-tanner with SPF but I am not a fan of the smell that a lot of self tanner have and I find I look like I just finished a 12 hour shift in the kitchen at IHOP's whenever I use them so I was quite glad when I discovered this.
This vitamin enriched, non-comedogenic moisturizer will pack in essential moisture, shield you from harmful UVA/UVB rays and give you a natural subtle glow all at the same time. With 2.5% DHA (the ingredient that causes your skin to adopt a temporary tan), you don't have to worry about looking too fake or turning orange. This moisturizer provides 24 hour hydration while potent vitamins, minerals and fatty acids work together to enhance the condition of your skin. Broad spectrum UVA/UVB SPF 15 ensures you get 15 times more protection from the sun. Moringa Tree Extract and Vitamin E+CG helps protects against free radicals and environmental damage.
It goes on smoothly and absorbs into the skin easily and I don't look like I've spent the whole morning frying sunny-side ups!

I kind of like this moisturizer especially for the benefit of Sunscreen and for the idea of energizing my skin with vitamins. I appreciate the consistency and the ability to penetrate my skin, but then it is no different from many other creams out there. Maybe the fragrance is a bit too strong. The problem with this cream, as with many others, is it's way too chemical and I think all those parabens won't do me any good, therefore I took off 2 lippies. I'll go through my trail tubes and that's it.

I've been using Lancome skincare products for over ten years, since back when the green colored bottles (pure focus is what they call it today, I think) helped get my acne under control.
That's why I'm sorry to have to write this review. When Vinefit was discontinued, I tried this moisturizer, I tried Aqua Fusion SPF 15 in the summer and I tried the lotion version of Bienfait. Even with regular exfoliating and mask-ing, I had a HUGE milia problem with all these moisturizers. I stuck with this for years because I thought I couldn't do better. Then I grabbed a copy of InStyle's best beauty buys, and it motivated me to change my entire skincare routine, cold turkey. Now I use Neutrogena Healthy Defense SPF45. Better sun protection, and after about three weeks, I was completely milia-free.

This review is for the Bienfait Multi-Vital SPF 30. (I'm thinking Lancome must have upgraded the 15 spf to 30?)
This is by far my favorite day-time moisturizer for my dry to combo skin. It has the consistency of a light cream (not ultra-rich, but heavier than a lotion), so it spreads evenly over my skin. I mix a dallop of this with a small pump of Sisley Ecological Compound, and my skin is fresh, radiant, and ready for my mineral foundation.
I LOVE the fact that it has an SPF of 30 for protection from the sun.
I haven't broken out a single time since I've started using this cream (I'm on my 2nd jar), and really, for the cost ($43 USD), I think it's an excellent product, as there are many subpar moisturizers that cost much more.

Sorry to rain on the parade, but I really don't like this moisturiser. I was really looking forward to trying it, as it has SPF, plus some other great ingredients, but I just couldn't make myself like it. The texture is a tad thick, I hated the smell and worst of all, it balled up on my skin rather than absorbing smoothly. I think the Bienfait line just doesn't work for my skin - I had a sample of the night cream and that also balled up on application and broke me out :( Luckily these were GWP samples, otherwise I would have been very annoyed! I expected better from Lancome.

This is my favorite moisturizer at the time. My norm/comb skin looks healthy en smooth en it feels gorgeous!! The product is creamy, but does not make me break out at all... very nice. I use it in winter and summer and it works very well in both weather conditions. The smell is very Lancome-like. I get the best results with Bienfait Multi Vital Nuit. That one is even more spectacular. To get an idea of my moisturizer-past: Biotherm Aquasource and Oleosource, Lancome Vinefit (very nice, but disappeared in thin air), Lancome Impactive, Shiseido The Skincare, Body Shop Jojoba cream, Vichy (did not like this at all)

Bienfait Multi-Vital (all skin types) cream is everything I could wish for in a daily moisturiser. The texture of this cream is fairly lightweight, not heavy or greasy, it sinks into my skin quickly and leaves it feeling comfortable and soft. It was developed with the help of nutritionists to give skin a daily dose of vitamins and minerals that protect from free radical damage and make skin glow with health. It delivers high potency time-release moisture to skin over 24 hours, helps skin restore its own moisture balance and has a broad spectrum SPF 15 that protects against UVA & UVB rays. I use Retin-A cream at night and fly a lot so I need a quality moisturiser. I can't really be bothered with serums etc. this one product provides me with everthing I need for healthy skin. Will re-purchase over and over again.
UPDATE 29/01/08 - The perfect day moisturiser, I'm surprised there aren't more reviews for this product I love it.

I love this stuff. I have tried many, many moisturizers but this is the only one that I can honestly say REALLY hydrates me skin all day and it also makes it so soft. Next to Creme de la Mer, this one really moisturizes the best, in my opinion (I just can't afford Creme de la Mer so this one is cheap by comparison!) You really only need a little bit and so the jar has lasted me many, many months now. Definately worth the price, and I will for sure buy this again when my jar is finished.

I decided to wait at least 15 days before reviewing this cream to actually see the results over a period of time, and I have to say... 5 lippies once more to LCM!! I bought the "all types of skin" version. As soon as you apply it it leaves your skin so smooth and soft, it has a very high hydrating power wich really last all day (I got dry skin) and I love the fact that it has good quality SPF!!! Also, I love the smell, reminds me of the summer!! Well... as I always say, just see if this cream suits your skin, for me it's working wonders!!! ****UPDATE**** For the first time LCM dissappointed me! If you are millia prone STAY AWAY FROM THIS... It's not NON-COMEDOGENIC, as it claims to be... after a month my face is full of white cysts... It's a pitty though, cos all in all it's an excellent cream...

I'm finally starting to move away from my Lancome addiction after some disappointments with their range.
I was really pleased Lancome had brought out a cream with SPF 15 and pollution protection so I quickly shelled out for this in the 'dry skin' version.
It doesn't irritate and smells OK, it does the job but just doesn't do anything special for my skin. For Lancome prices I want something a little more special so I won't repurchase what is a fairly average cream. I am also going off jar packaging for hygiene reasons and I wish they'd use glass not plastic!

I disagree with the person below me, i'm only 14 and this product is great for my skin, i've been using it for just over 2 weeks now, and it has perfected my skin. There is a smell, but no, it isn't overpowering, easily dies out. I put yes to buy this product again, but i might try another formula to see any different benefits. The price is fair enough, the limit i'd spend on any skin care at my age, but i'm glad i did it, my advice, if your not convinced to take the plunge and spend the £30, get a freebie, there are plenty around now at their counters , (you can even buy the freebie sized tubes on ebay for a couple of quid each((bargain))))

Maybe I'm just too young for Lancome skincare, but this moisturizer STANK. It smells too strongly for my taste and it's too heavy for a daytime moisturizer IMO. Maybe this is better suited for "mature" skin. I had a hard time buffing in my mineral makeup over this, and it left residue on my kabuki brush too.

I have got to be the worlds worst person for hopping & skipping around when it comes to skin care. Anyone else out there have that same problem? Anyway, while out shopping the day after Thanksgiving I wondered over to the Lancome counter to check things out. I was almost out of the Clinique Superdefense and wanted to try something new. I purchased this little gem before the day was over. I had the SA clean my face (except for eyes) put this moisturizer on with some makeup & blush. I have very sensitive skin with a touch of eczema that is very easily upset. I wanted to wear the product for a while before puchasing to make sure 1)it didn't cause a reaction and 2)that I simply liked it. Around 6 pm I made my way back to Lancome and plunked down my hard earned $40 to buy this. It's very creamy but not greasy at all. It soaks in and make an excellent canvas for my makeup. I have to have an SPF protection and this moisturizer provides that. My face is smooth and dare I say, glowy? I've worn it almost a month and am very happy with the product.

I have been waiting for Lancome to come out with something like Impactive moisturizer but with SPF (and not SPF 8 or something puny). Finally I heard abtou this and I ordered it on ebay for $28 ($40 is a LOT- not sure whether I'll repurchase unless it's available on ebay again). The cream is fantastic- light, airy and it spreads beautifully so you only need a little. This is only my second day with it but my skin feels clear and SO smooth! Excellent stuff so try to get a sample if possible and hunt it down on ebay! One jar should last six months at least!
