this brush is the flat top dense brush, and is great for contouring!! I love it, but the sad part is that the metal part comes off the wood handle :( so not strong glue holding it together! after a few washes, the bristles started to fall out little by little. for the time they held up, it was a good brush. their other brushes are great tho!!

I love this, it's perfect for putting bronzer right into the hollows below your cheek bones, I use it every day! it doesn't shed too much that I've noticed and the hairs aren't silky soft but they aren't like scratch your face rough either.

I really like this brush. I use it with powder and cream blushes it works well with both. Even does a good job with highlighters. Do recommend.

This was the first actual "blush brush" I ever purchased. I love it, I've had it for well over a year now and it's great. I love how it's got a flat head and dense bristles. I usually only use it for blushes that are not very pigmented. Like Mac's the perfect cheek or Elf's peachykeen. It applies blush in a very precise spot and is still easy to blend with. I have even used it on darker colors before I branched out and bought other blush brushes and it works well for those as well. I do have to admit the price is good but the brush does kinda look rough now. Like it's ten years old, but after washing and reshaping it looks better. I will def re-purchase this.

I will say that when I first bought this brush I loved it. I really liked how it felt on my face and it seemed like it distributed my bronzers perfectly. I washed it for the first time and now I hate it. The bristles used to be dense and now they are not. It looks completely worn out and I haven't had it for that long. I will not buy this again.

I LOVE this brush. I was skeptical since it got pretty bad reviews on MUA, but it works great for me. I wasn't loving some of mark's blushes, but when I applied them with this brush (not my half-moon Mary Kay blush brush), they looked fabulous. It picks up just the right amount of powder and sweeps it evenly onto my skin. I'm pretty picky about makeup brushes, especially since I use Bare Minerals brushes for my foundation, but this is great. I highly recommend.

this is an OK brush....I like how it picks up the product and it distributes it..the only downfall is that when is washed it tends to get scratchy!

It does a good job of concentrating color on a particular area and blends well, but the bristles on this brush are a little rough. There are probably better quality flat top/buffing brushes out there, so I wouldn't repurchase this one.

Cheap brush, cheap quality. I've used it for a while and I find it sheds a lot, and makes my skin itchy.

I think this brush is great..picks up the perect amount of product and applies it very evenly. I've had other more expensive brushes and this one works better and it's really soft!

I love this brush so much I'm thinking about buying another one! I use it for blush and mineral make-up, so I'll write a short review for each.
Blush: Love it. It picks up the exact amount of blush and applies it really well, and evenly. I've used other brushes from other brands (e.g MAC, Bare Escentuals, Sonia Kashuk) but they never apply enough. This brush is just one sweep and it's the perfect amount on my skin.
Mineral make-up: Perfect! It's super dense so you can use it to apply, blend and buff, and it's soft and won't scratch or irritate the skin. It's way better than the brushes I've gotten from MMU companies.
Overall quality: It's great. I havent had an issue with shedding or anything like that. I wash it once a week or so and it's held up really well.
I totally reccommend.

I should've known the moment I opened this brush it was going to be downhill from there. The handle came clean off! I had to super glue the handle back to the ferrule. Since then it's been shedding like major crazy! The bristles are rough, and maybe its just me but I have a hard time blending in my blush. This brush turned me off from purchasing mark. brushes in the future =(

great value for the price, the brush is dense and picks up a lot of product.
i wish the bristles were a little softer but overall i think its a good buy for the price.

Wanted another flat top brush so I got this one, mark brushes hold up a long time, I have a foundation brush from over 3 years ago that in fabulous condition so I figured, why not get more mark brushes. This brush is what i use to apply my bronzer since it can blend a good area. Brush is soft but not amazingly soft, and is pretty dense which is good. Hasn't shed on me yet. Love this brush, works great with mark's bronzer

I got this in a set about 3 years ago when mark did a promo on it. Didn't know much about brushes then, what was good or bad, and thought it was a good brush since it got the job done with my mineral m/u. Then I gravitated to Cat's kabuki which is good and better than marks flat top for mineral makeup and was softer. Last year I bought EDM's flat top for $10 and WOW is that ever so much nicer! Mineral m/u goes on perfectly and the brush is SO soft! Comparing mark's flat top to EDM's you can see that EDM's is much better and that mark's is junk. Alone mark's flat top is $6 and EDM's is $10. mark's is scratchy and it actually hurts to use, like small pin pricks on the skin. Imagine using that to work in mineral makeup! Ouch! I will say it gets the job done but it's not pleasant. EDM's is super soft and feels great to use and, again, applies mmu like a dream. Also I've noticed that marks brush has flared out on the sides and the hairs are bent. EDM's brush looks the same as when I first got it though I've had mark's brush much longer. Don't bother with mark's flat top brush.

Not too bad a of a brush. It is a bit hard/stiff, but if definitely better than what come packaged with most blushes. I've had mine for years and have not had a problem with it shedding.

I love flat brushes, for MMU buffing, & for dusting loose powder after liquid fdn. Unlike some MMU brush, which tends to pick up too much powder at one go. On the other hand it is not sparse, the hairs are shorter than most brushes which gives good control when circle buffing. One thing I don't like is the handle, too long, I just like short handles, 2 inches tops. It just looks cuter that way, just personal preference. For Can$8, I will order another back up. BTW the Mark concealer brush is also great !!!

I have had this brush for about two years now and it's still going. I never used blush before this brush either and its just perfect. It's the best blush brush I have ever used (and I work at Ulta). It applies colors so well without being too soft or too strong. I use it every day and it has not shed very much (unlike the powder brush), but it can be very scratchy, which kind of makes me want to stop using it. I bought it in a 3 for $10 deal when they first released them, and it came in a cute pink PVC case that holds all the brushes and it is embossed with the brand's logo. My complaint about the packaging is that.. the handle is horrible! This brush has not been abused and the handle came clean off one day. I have to see that it is attached tightly before using it some days. The paint flakes off and onto my hands.
Other than that, I can't stop using it. I wonder if the pur minerals chisel brush would give similar results since it's shaped the same?

this is a pretty good brush. its perfect for contouring on your cheeks. its not the softest brush in the world, yet i don't find it to be scratchy either. mine also sheds really badly. i haven't washed it yet though. UPDATE: i've had this brush for quite awhile now and its still shedding. i've also washed it several times and after each time, it sheds even worse. so, even though it does apply blush and bronzer nicely, it sheds horribly. you end up with black hairs all over your face everytime you use it. so, unfortunately with this brush, you do get what you pay for.
