Such a pretty color! It's not as dark as the name suggests, but it's still really pretty. A deep purple-tinted wine burgundy color. China Glaze nail polishes are easy to apply and I love the easy-to-open bottle. Vampy is from the Fashion Lounge collection.

My toes were married to Chanel's Vamp for the longest time. When I came across this shade I was delighted to find a shade that was close at such a reasonable price. Well, guess what? I like this way better than my beloved Vamp! It has all the tones I love but it is just a smidgeon - a teeny weenie smidgeon - lighter, which makes it absolutely PERFECT!

I have yet to be disappointed by a ChG polish and this is no exception. They have great colors, easy application and beautiful results. I'd heard so many great things about Vampy that I decided to try it out. In the bottle it looks pretty much the same as any other dark burgandy-type shade. But once on it's very shiny and has a little shimmer to it that's visible even in regular indoor lighting. Most of my favorite dark polishes need to be seen in bright light to really be appreciated. I'd probably buy this one again if I run out but there are others I'd get first.

Vampy is a deep shimmery burgundy with a slight purple tinge. It's not blackened or overboard on the bling but I don't find the color all that unique. The sparkle is where this polish shines (pun intended). It adds just enough extra ummpf to distriguish it in a crowd of look-a-likes and wannabes. The application was smooth and effortless. I actually did my mani while watching a comedy and in between laughs the end product still looked downright gorgeous... if I do say so myself. China Glaze polishes are great IMO and have fantasic lasting power, Vampy is no exception.

China Glaze's Vampy is a dark blackberry/wine with deep red microglitter. The sparklies are deeply embedded, so it's not overtly blingy, but still super pretty in the sun. This was one of the first vampies I ever owned, and even though I now have many similar colors--it's not hugely original, as lovely as it is--this is still one of my favorites. Partly because of the glitter, partly because China Glaze lasts a good long time on me.

Although I've always gone for "offbeat" nail colors (blues, greens & iridescents) for most of my life, I find myself struck suddenly by a vampy phase. So, naturally, I had to pick this up! Having very uneven, ridgy nails (vertically & horizonally) I almost always need three coats to achieve a consistent color. I loved this color wet - a dark red full of shimmer and depth, but that depth disappeared as it dried. It still looked great in sunlight, but not indoors, it just appeared as a flat cream. It deserves a 4 for wear (minor tip wear over 4 days, and I'm very hard on my nails) but the color was less than impressive... if only it had looked dry the way it did when first applied, it would've been love...

I don't get why this is called Vampy. Aside from that, I don't really care for this polish. It chipped within a day no matter what base/top coat I used. The color is not spectacular to me, a shimmery red.

I can't add to the fabulous descriptions already here. This is the only polish that I have a backup for. It's that gorgeous! It looks like black cherry cola with tiny golden shimmers that radiate from deep within the polish. It's sexy, sophisticated, a little edgy, and va-voom enough to turn any woman into a vamp. I adore this color!

I'm obsessed with deep shimmery reds lately, and I keep coming back to this polish in particular. The other reviewers have described it very well - it's a dark, complex red, with shades of plum, wine and brown, and beautiful shimmers. It's not overpoweringly glittery, for those of you who are anti-sparkle; it's got just enough to add even more interest to the color. China Glaze usually applies and wears very well for me, and Vampy was no exception. However, I don't think it holds up too well to water exposure: I ended up doing a lot of dishes with this mani on, and while I know that's not going to be great for any polish, this one chipped off in big flakes all over later that day. But you know what? This polish is worth investing in a pair of rubber gloves. It's a lovely shade, a great formula, and I don't have anything else like it... a comment that's getting harder and harder for me to make about new nail polishes!

The only thing standing between this beautiful La Boheme meets cherry cola color and perfection is the edgewear. If it wore better it would be HG.

I have a lot of dark nail colors, but this one is by far my favorite. It is a true vamp color, but has just enough red to prevent it from looking too goth on my PPP skin. A real winner!

I've worn this gorgeous shade of twinkling black cherry on both tips & toes and received so many compliments that I feel I should buy a bottle of Vampy for each and everyone of those people who took notice because this truly is a must-have. I do wish it was a tiny bit more glimmery like it is in the bottle, but I still love it!

This colour reminds of black cherries. It's a deep red, that sometimes looks burgundy but always has a dark quality to it. It has microshimmer in it, but looks like a creme finish in daylight.

It's like Cherry Coke for the nails, I love it! Vampy is deep and mysterious, a velvet brocade illuminated by garnet and golden microglitter. Works beautifully against my olive skintone and wears very, very well. Three coats later, my nails are shiny and richly pigmented in this fabulous, twinkling black-cherry lacquer. A must-have for those who have a special place in their hearts for vampish polish.

This is a standard burgundy, maybe 3/4 red and 1/4 blue. It's dark but it's not muted. This makes it very very strong. The rather predominant golden shimmer is a nice addition to make it less serious, and not full of itself/impressed with itself. It's very very comfortable to see the shimmer, as a foil to the deepness and the contrast.

Some shimmers are just a relflection of the color, but this shimmer gives Vampy sort of a two tone look. It's deep dark cherry burgundy in some lights but even in weak lighting it pops to this sort of champagne gold.

The texture and application is very very similar to Secrets, which I just reviewed. However, it is a little bit thicker of a texture for some reason... maybe because it's so highly pigmented.

If you want to try a Vampy color but were saving yourself for a really good one, this one will not disappoint. It may even make Miss French Manicure Francy become a Vamp!

Another winner from China Glaze! This is a gorgeous "vampy" deep shimmery burgundy. This is a great color for fall, but I can see myself wearing this year round. As always, ChG applies super-easy and wears great. If you love deep dark "vampy" colors, this is a must have!

The previous reviewer described this color perfectly. If you are more familiar with China Glaze's Voodoo That U Do-- which I love, it's just a bit darker than than that with a with plum tinge to it. Or, if you are more familiar with OPI's Changing of the Garnet, about 2 shades darker than that with the dark plum tinge to it. As with most China Glaze polishes, it's far more interesting looking on the nail than in the bottle. It's a very beautiful polish that I'd repurchase. It's truly HG worthy for me.

Vampy is a luscious deep black cherry with shimmer. It's beautiful on my light cool-toned toes! I tried Chanel Vamp and it was too blackened for my taste, perhaps because Vampy has the shimmer and is tiny bit more berried it works much better for me.

As with my other China Glaze polishes, I'm quite impressed with it's quality. The bottle and brush are top notch, applies smoothly and streak-free, chip-free and super shiny!
