I am trying to find a replacement for the old formulation of Redken All Soft shampoo and conditioner, which Redken changed last year (the new formula of that is terrible).
In addition to numerous other brands' shampoos/conditioners, I have tried nearly all of the other Redken product lines already, but had not tried this one until this week.
I was not interested in any blonde-izing effect this might or might not have on my hair, I just wanted to find a decent shampoo/conditioner.
My chin-length dark blonde hair is "virgin" hair (not color treated, not chemically treated, barely ever been subjected to a hairdryer or heated styling tools in the last 2 years!)
When I wash my hair with this Blonde Glam shampoo/conditioner, it seems so promising! In the shower, it feels luxurious, conditioning, softening.
But when the hair dries, it isn't good. That's a strange mismatch.
Negatives - this makes my hair:
-darker in color, brassy
-slightly dry on the strands
-moderately frizzy
-very dry at the ends - it makes the bottom of my hair fringe out like a frayed ribbon
Positives:
-the citrus scent is bracing and refreshing
-it makes my scalp stay oil-free for longer than most shampoos do
I'm afraid that the results are no better than any old $3-5 drugstore shampoo.
If anyone knows of a good shampoo/conditioner product line that matches the effects of the OLD Redken All Soft line (before it was reformulated at the beginning of 2012), please send me a message via this site.

I love, love LOVE Redken's blonde glam. I use both the shampoo and conditioner and it makes my damaged blonde hair look and feel wonderful! I really love the citrusy smell, the packaging is a little fragile - Can't drop the bottle without the lid breaking and the price for the small bottles is a little overpriced, but buying the 1L bottles on eBay etc is well worth it.
I wouldn't use anything else - takes all the brassy tones out of my hair, leaves it soft and adds some much needed protein. I had highlights done well over 6 months ago and somehow using this duo they've reappeared! Very pleased about that!

I have black/brown hair and my hairdresser recommended this as well as the conditioner for my parched tresses. I was a little wary because it says it's meant for blonde hair, but she said I should be okay. OMG, HG! It make my thick hair so soft, manageable, and SHINY! My husband actually grabbed a lock of my hair last night while we were watching TV and said, 'you're hair looks so pretty lately..' What?? My husband is a manly man and rarely says anything other than, ' you look hot' or 'you look beautiful.' He very rarely picks out a specific feature and comments on it. I will definitely be repurchasing!

This shampoo did a good job cleaning my hair. Didn't over dry and left it bouncy. The shampoo smells AMAZING! Very citrusy. Now for the bad....my hair looks dirty after a couple hours and lots of static! And left it very brassy. My husband said my blond hair looks like it has penny colored streaks in it! Yikes!

Seriously the best shampoo for blonde color treated hair! I am so cautious after I highlight my hair and i want to find the absolute best shampoo/conditioner to maintain the color. This shampoo hydrates and nourishes while protecting my color and prevents any type of stripping. My hair feels bouncy, silky, and volumized after using. My hair dresser told me about this shampoo and i am so happy she did. I buy it online and it's shipped to my house within 2-3 days. You can find it at a local beauty salon such as sallys or online. Amazing product, amazing hair, amazing results!! Just thrilled that i was introduced to this.

So I went from brunette to blonde at the beginning of the summer. It got super dry from the bleach and a bit brassy in the back. I'm so glad I purchased this shampoo! It left my hair so smooth and moisturized, and it reduced a bit of the brassiness (not all of it). I have read some of the reviews on here about this product and honestly it's just okay. It won't do magic on your hair, it's just a nice shampoo for blondes.

I started to use this product as i wanted my dark blonde hair to get a touch brighter and also make my hair look more healthy as my hair can look dry after i have washed it. I have recently discovered that i can get the same results from this higher end shampoo and it's conditioner as i can with drugstore shampoo's. I left this shampoo and conditioner combination at my boyfrinds house for when i stay there (sometimes for over 2 weeks) The first two weeks that i stayed and used this in my shower routine, it did amazing things for my hair and even when i went back to college people complimented me on how healthy, shiney and blonder my hair looked. After that i was so excited to go back for another week and use it again, but this time i found that my hair didn't have the same results as before i could skip a day of washing my hair but now i am back to washing my hair everyday as it gets so greasy if i leave it for more than one night. So i have given this a lower rating as there are mush cheaper products such as John Freda that give my hair better results!

I got this when I was getting sick of the way jhon frieda go blonder shampoo was making my hair look and feel. I have tried a lot of shampoos from pantene to organics to loreal Schwarzkopf and frieda just to name a few,I was getting tired of the way my hair was looking lately even after I colored it still seemed to remain dull and the color just wasint gleaming like it used to so I decided to try this my first ever salon shampoo and sweet jesus am I glad I got this it makes my hair look fantastic and really brings out my color it also gives it volume and body and makes it silky and soft I bought this along with the blonde glam color enhancer conditioning treatment for platinum colored hair both bottles set me back. $48 pricey but worth it. The shampoo smells amazing by the way this blonde glam is a fabulous line and is my hg from now on.

This shampoo is expensive but overall, I would say it is worth the price. The formula does lighten my darker blonde hair and gives it a shine that is oftentimes difficult for my hair to achieve. It also smells nice and my hair feels beautifully refreshed after every wash.
Redken Blonde Glam does what it says it will do on the bottle and although it is a little pricey, it is a very nice product for blondies (much better than John Freida's go blonder shampoo, god, that stuff turned my hair into a stringy mess, ICK!)

I have blonde hair and had hi hopes for this product. Let me start by saying I love redken products and have used all soft by redken for many years. The SA told me this would soften my hair and make my blonde hair brighter helping me extend my time between highlights. When I got home I used it, it smelled sooo good, and lathed probably better than any shampoo I have ever used. I was sure my hair was going to look and smell wonderful after it dried. I followed up with Redkens Blonde Glam conditioner which smelled the same wonderful and even felt good in my hair. After everything was washed out and I began combing through my hair I noticed my hair felt tangly, gummy, and dry. My hair was in pretty good condition prior to using this shampoo. My stylist even comments for someone who colors their hair, your hair is in pretty good condition. I thought how could a shampoo/conditioner do this to my hair. Maybe I got something nasty in my hair, so the next day and day after that I tried again. Each time my hair got worse. I ended up taking it back to the salon, I was really upset. This stuff left my hair dry to the point it was breaking off. I was so upset. It has taken over 3 weeks of protein treatments to get my hair back to a good place. I would never recommend this stuff to anyone, your taking to big of a chance of ruining your hair, stay away from this stuff, YUCK!!

the best shampoo out there. one that i buy over and over again. if you have wavey hair like me, it tames them so well. the conditioner is the only one that doesnot weigh down my waves. best of the best and the smell is minimal.

This is one shampoo I've repurchased many, many times. My hair is naturally very dirty blonde, but I've been bleaching it every few months for the past 4+ years to keep it platinum blonde. We all know bleaching can really kill your hair, but this shampoo, along with Blonde Glam conditioner, keeps my hair healthy and bright.
The smell is nothing to write home about. It smells like most other Redken products, nothing special. But what this product actually does is what's important! It helps with the brassiness that is usually inevitable right after coloring. I still rotate through some purple shampoos (I love Lush Daddy-O), but this is great for everyday. The one thing that is most important to me in a shampoo is that it doesn't make my already very oily hair greasier by leaving residue or by not thoroughly cleaning my hair. This isn't my HG shampoo for controlling oil (that's Lush Jumping Juniper!), but it keeps me relatively oil-free for about a day, which is pretty good for me. This makes my hair soft and shiny and makes my blonde locks really stand out. I've actually had people ask me if I colored my hair recently when the only thing I did was put Blonde Glam back into my rotation!
Highly recommended for any blondies!

Awful! This shampoo (& conditioner) was OK both times I used them, Then I noticed My hair was really greasy, flat, and my scalp was severely irritated. Now looking @ the ingredients I see that oil & fragrance are in the top ingredients. The fragrance is OK, but I wish it wasn't included-- does NOTHING for hair-- only the nose and is potentially irritating!! Promptly returned both shampoo & conditioner to Ulta. The manager said they have had a lot of returns due to irritation. BTW, my hair is somewhat fine, highlighted every 10 -12 wks. and in good condition. This would probably be a good shampoo for someone w/ thick, dry, coarse hair if they could tolerate the fragrance.

This product is ok, I use it occassionally and it doesnt seem to do any harm. The effect it has on blonde hair is to remove the build up and pollution from it, rather than enhance or change the hair in any other way. Its not particularly moisturising (in fact it leaves my hair feeling a bit dry) nor does it make my hair shiny. Some advice - make sure you rinse it out really well, as it has a weird feeling when you are rinsing it out like it has coated your hair in something. Conclusion is that it is an ok shampoo (providing you wash it out thoroughly), but I wouldnt repurchase as it does not seem to improve the condition of my hair at all.

Gotta say this rocks!! My hair is lightened to a light ash blonde and this shampoo does keep the brassiness out better than any of the purple shampoos I have ever tried. I must be totally weird in that way, because it doesn't even claim to keep the brassies at bay. Purple shampoos are specially pigmented to do exactly that, and I have tried a ton of them, Matrix so silver, Nexxus Platinum Pro, Jhirmack, John Frieda, Paul Mitchell purple shampoo for Platinum blondes, and more. This is better. I love Redken, have for years. My local Hair Cuttery has sales on this alot, so I try to call and check when their upcoming sales are and purchase this then. I'll never use DS shampoo again, unless it's Vo5 condish for the CO method, which I also use to wash my hair when I'm taking a break from shampoo. My hair was def pretty damaged before I started w/the Redken and the CO method, and now it's much better. This, paired with a good condish, makes my hair soft, shiny, clean, and blonde!!! Also smells great, it's a fresh, citrusey scent. Just check out my profile pics of my hair!! HTH.

My hair gets oily at the roots and dry at the ends. I decided to try this based on some reviews (and a good sale at Ulta) and it was terrible. It completely weighed my hair down and made the color weird and dull. The only thing I liked was the smell. Returned it within a week of purchase.

For the price, I don't see what the big deal is about this shampoo (or conditioner). I decided to try it because I recognized the scent as one that a former stylist used on me, and every time I'd go home from a haircut, my husband would comment that my hair looked blonder. That was years ago, but I remembered the distinct citrus scent when I was trying to pick new products. My hair is naturally a strawberry blonde, that has gotten a bit dull in the winter months. Using this shampoo and conditioner really made no noticeable difference to the brightness of my hair. As a shampoo, it is okay, but nothing special. It lathers well with only a little shampoo. And it cleans pretty well, but I still need to use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week to keep my roots from feeling yucky. I am disappointed that the citrus scent doesn't linger much. In fact, I kinda think my hair smells dirty a few hours after using this.

I bought this even though the reviews aren't so great. My hair is naturally wavy, light brown, with several different blonde highlights. I have used this over the past week and it is better than I expected. It makes my hair soft and super shiny; I have gotten several compliments on my hair. I also use the Redken Fresh Curls Conditioner which is amazing!
As of right now I will definitely buy this again.
