I love this product and I cannot imagine ever dying my hair again without it. I get a nice even distribution of dye when I use Roots Only, and I find that I do not have to use as much dye with it. It's not just for root touch ups either, I find it useful for whole head applications too. I was using a whole 2 bottles of dye for my long hair before this, now I only need one. I use Clairol Nice 'n Easy, and I just screw on the Roots Only comb onto the bottle of Clairol. Dying my hair is less messy now, too.

I've had my applicator for about 2 years now...I use it monthly...still looks like new.

I have to say this is the best invention for doing root touchups. Its so simple in design and application. I'm amazed that no one thought of it decades ago. Its totally fool proof, the dye goes on the roots and no where else. It would be impossible to make touchups easier.

I purchased a second one, just in case.

This is an excellent product. It really works. I colored my hair last night with it. I timed it. I was able to cover my entire scalp only in approximately 3 minutes. It really does squirt out the color over a wider area, just on the roots. I was able to feel the cold liquid going on my scalp. It did not put color onto the ends of my hair until I intentionally did so. I had my husband check my scalp and it appeared that the entire scalp was evenly covered on just my root area.

I highly recommend this wonderful product!

What an absolutely ingenious product. Not only does this make monthly touch-ups that much easier, it is also saves $$ because you [or at least *I*] use a lot less dye. How? I'm able to mix just the amount I need for one application then save the rest. There's no risk of the excess being stored because it's not been mixed together. I can make one box of dye go 2 or 3 months [2-3 touch-up applications]. Like the other reviewer mentioned, only touching up what's needed ends up with a more even result because the areas that don't need it don't end up sucking up the dye. By the way, it's totally inexpensive and reusable... again, and again, and again. A+!

Just had to post a review about this product i just used to redo my roots with my regular haircolor. This is a plastic applicator bottle with a comb on the head of it that works even better than the excellence comb does. You just mix your regular haircolor together like you normally would and then pour it into this applicator bottle and use this bottle instead of the haircolor bottle. Takes less than 5 minutes to apply to your roots. You don't even have to part or seperate when you use this. I am totally having a great hair day because of this little invention. I used preference's ultra light beige blonde using this and the color is TOTALLY even for a change. I definately recommend you try this. I found it at the walmart supercenter so i'm sure you can find it there. And it's cheap to boot! It was only $2!
