Mark Mega Volume Root Lifting Spray with Soothing Geranium is a good product. When spraying on root area, it seems like it is not going to do much as it is very light. Leave on for a few minutes before blow drying. For my straight, fine hair, I start blow drying by bending over and blowing hair down from nape of neck. I use a brush and my fingers to blow dry the hair upside down until slightly damp. This spray adds great volume for my fine hair, while not being a heavy product that would weigh it down. At $5 for a 6 oz. bottle, it's worth trying. Mark can be purchased through Avon or Mark reps.

This is a review for the Next Day Spray which is part of the Mega Volume collection.
Ewwwwwwwwwww. Stay far, far away from this product. I had high hopes as Mark products have never let me down before, but this stuff is just nasty.
Reeks like alcohol upon spraying but then actually smells reallyyyyy good.... But that's the only upside. Product leaves hair looking even greasier than before, wet and sticky and feeling pretty gruddy. Way off the mark on this one, stuff is horrid!!!

Review for the Root Lifting Spray. An average volumizer that makes my very fine, limp hair a little sticky without adding much lift. The scent is surprisingly masculine.

I'm reviewing the "Next Day spray" that's supposed to "refresh your hair between shapooings" which it certainly DOES NOT. It makes my hair look greasy and sticky. It smells like cheap AquaNet hairspray. I've tried using it in many ways, many times, and it's just a flop. Nice idea, but it really doesn't work.

I wish the various styling products under the "Mega Volume" name were separated, but oh well. I'm reviewing the spray gel, NOT the root-lifter. The spray gel is awesome, and I've repurchased it many times. It gives my hair a lot of height and body, whether I blow-dry or air-dry (a miracle, considering that volumizing stuff never works without heat styling, in my experience). I get a little stiffness when air-drying, but nothing I can't handle. My hair still looks nice and big the next day after using this. I find myself adding it to my hair no matter how I'm wearing it (curly, straight, natural, flat ironed, etc). Not on sale, it's about $5 for a bottle, which is a little more than drugstore prices, considering the size.

This review is for the root lifting spray. To put it bluntly, I hate it. My hair felt very dry after using this product. I have other root lifting products that also have a drying effect, but not nearly as bad as this one. The added volume was minimal and not worth my hair feeling dry and smelling bad. It took two days of washing my hair to get it completely out as well. I won't be using this product again let alone repurchasing it.

Mega Volume root lifting spray works well functionally,
but I didn't care for the scent (predominantly cedarwood-amber,
I think) which lingered and completely overwhelmed me.
This product would be great if it were as close to unscented as
possible.

My review is for the root lifting spray. I have very fine hair which is very flat and lacks volume. I have tried many voluminizing products without any success. I then bought this mark product and I am really happy with it. It gave my flat hair lots of volume and my hair looked amazing. What a great price too. This is one hair product I will never be without. Love it.

This spray gives great volume and lasts all day. I actually like this smell for some reason, and I love how the scent lasts forever too. I'm definately going to keep buying this stuff.

This review is for the MEGA VOLUME ROOT LIFTING SPRAY. My previous comparable spray was from Bumble and Bumble. I truly see no difference (other than about $18!) in terms of effectiveness. My hair is super thick, yet lacks volume. I put Velcro rollers in to add lift and before doing so, I add a volumizing spray. This MARK spray truly lifts the hair without stickiness. It adds loads of volume to my hair and I LOVE the results. I had to take one lippie away for the AWFUL SMELL! It says it smells like geranium, but it smells like a spicy men's cologne and lasts hours in my hair!

This rating is specifically for the Mega Volume Hairspray.

The reason I gave it such a high rating is because it lacks what a lot of people dread in a hairspray - the hairspray smell. Instead, it smells like geranium, and while it is a bit strong, it wears down after a half hour or so. It helped keep my hair in place throughout my whole dance class (an hour an a half), and the amount in the bottle is generous for the price. It has a moderate hold, and washes right out. This will probably be the only hairspray I'll be using from now on.

I purchased the 3-product combo of mark's new "mega volume" hair styling products. For about $8.00 (on eBay) I received the hair spray, root lifting spray, and styling gel. As always, Avon hair styling products deliver quite a bang for the buck, and these were no exception. I liked the way that the root lifting spray and styling gel applied - my hair felt clean and ready for easy styling. These products feel better to the touch than the average "volumizing" products out there. They delivered decent volume when I used my regular dryer technique. The relatively low rating, and the reason I will not buy this again, is the very strong "geranium" scent. It is not objectionable or icky. But it is VERY strong and VERY long-lasting. I could barely notice the fragrance I had on over the scent of these products. When I showered today, I did not shampoo my hair, I just did a thorough rinse (I prefer to not shampoo every day), and the scent is STILL there. I surmise from the fact that these products are from the mark line, which is aimed towards young women, that these styling products are intended for use by the young who frequently attend parties and bars where there is a lot of cigarette smoke in the air. This scent would definitely hold up in your hair, so that your tresses would not reek of smoke later on in the evening, or the next day, for that matter. I'll be shipping these off to my niece next week.
