I don't mind spending a lot of money on a soap that's truly worth writing home about, but it bugs me to spend a lot of money on a soap that's really not that great. This is an example of the latter. The blackcurrant and lavendar scent is very "ho hum" and actually has a twinge of plastic artificiality about it. The lather isn't remotely as nice as many other amazing LUSH soaps. It leaves absolutely no scent behind on my skin either, which is one of the things I love about my favorite LUSH soaps - HIWTK, Rock Star, Karma, etc. It's such an underwhelming soap that I've set it aside to use solely on my feet. I'm using a much better soap on the rest of my body now. I definitely understand why they didn't bring this one back for Christmas 2006.

This is one of my favorite LUSH products. The blackcurrant & lavendar fragrance is wonderful. The blackcurrant dominates, giving it a sweet fruity scent that's softened by the subtle, earthy lavendar. The soap itself is dark purple with glitter. I was worried, but the glitter washes away completely; there wasn't even any left on the bottom of the tub. It lathers nicely, and isn't as drying as some other LUSH soaps I've tried. I wish the scent lasted a little longer on my skin; however, I pair it with You Snap the Whip for more blackcurrant goodness.
4/5 lippies. Next X-mas I'll be stocking up on this.

This is my fave LUSH soap now (Xmas 2005) I hope they'll remake it next year. It smells YUMMY, in my opinion it's more fruity than the Oh la la soap because of the blackcurrant and I found the scent quite relaxing and long lasting, the dark purple color was great and it didn't turn the water purple at all (some reviews of the OH la la soap said theirs did so) My skin was feeling fresh, smooth and moisturized afterwards, and the soap was quite foamy. I loved that.
The scent can be quite strong, but I love it. I even have a piece of this soap where I keep my underwear and the whole drawyer smells amazing.
It was a little bit more expensive than other LUSH soaps but it's worth it, I'll definitely repurchase. A+++ for this one!

Christmas 2005 soap. It's dark blue with some sparkles in it. The truckle is GORGEOUS! It has a very nice print on it with reindeers and a big jellow moon.
But: it's another lavender soap. Like Oh la la. Why not make something totally new?
But Lush declares it's lavender with blackberry. I've never smelled blackberry in it, unfortunately.
Lush: bring Spice mountain back next year!

smells go gorgeous!! Love the lavender smell. Quite foamy & it does a good job of cleansing but doesn’t strip your skin of moisture & yet doesn’t leave a film on your skin or make it sticky. Just soft & nice smelling. Am stocking these up cos they are seasonal…

it's unfortunate that this isn't sold year round...perhaps by another name. it goes perfectly well combined with Black Pearl bath bomb. the scents are very similar....tart blackberry and heady lavender. an unusual fragrance combination that i would have never imagined enjoying this much. but that's why i like lush so much! this is a softer bar soap, like Alkmaar and Gratuitous Violets. it feels very soft and silky and makes lather quite easily. an all around beautiful soap. hopefully other people can try it before lush gets rid of them after the holidays.

This is a beautiful lavendar & blackcurrant soap - a Christmas LE. I bought this because it smells so fresh, but I didn't expect it to have as creamy a lather as it did. It makes me feel very soft and smooth, and the scent lingers much longer than I had expected. There are a few purple and blue sparkles in the skin, but they wash right off and are tiny anyway. If you like lavender, you'll like this soap.
