This was way too gloopy and sticky for me...very very uncomfortable. Worst thing is it comes in a pot and you have to apply it with your fingers so not only do your lips get sticky, so do your fingers. Unless of course you can be bothered using a lip brush.

I bought it at Sephora when I was travelling in NYC and then a few years later when I mentioned it to an MUA at Mecca they said that this lip lacquer is used in photoshoots as it just doesn't budge. Not really for every day use or if you want to drink, or kiss someone. :P

i didn't like this lip lacquer at all, and i'm surprised to see so many good reviews! the product was extremely thick, heavy, and sticky, so i could feel it sitting on my lips like glue. when i smacked my my lips to distribute it, my lips were stuck together! i also didn't like the colors i got (chelsea girls, sweet charity) because they looked waaayyy too light, like an alien's lips.

i reallllyy wanted to like this product because i am very pleased with the pure matte lipstick.

I love the colors of this gloss. I have Butterfield 8, which is discontinued -- it is a chocolate brown shade. I also love Sweet Charity and Chelsea Girls, which are very pretty.

The only drawbacks are 1. The smell...which I found to be a little off-putting and medicinal (I do not mind the lack of fragrance / waxy smell of NARS lipsticks and glosses -- this is different), and 2. It was sticky and difficult to apply and blend with my fingers - I definitely recommend using a brush. If this came in wand form, I would like it more.

i love this product! i bought it in capucine and it gives a light wash of peach on my lips. it look like a very bright orange in the jar but comes out really natural. i've tried dozens and dozens of lip products and this comes out one of the top. the smell is unpleasant but fades quickly in my opinion, so no big deal. some would find it sticky but that suits me because i find that non-sticky products 'spread' and i end up with white gunk inside my lips, if u know what i mean.

My HG blush, I wear it everyday. I've had this blush for probably two years, and it's still not finished! Highly recommend it for a fool proof blush that gives you an instant lift. I always get compliments on on my 'glow' and I think it's because of this blush. Love it! Buy it!

What a disappointment. Firstly, very heavy and not moisturizing at all. Secondly, the color is gone shortly just leaving sticky lips afterwards. Thumbs down!

I love all Nars lip laquers. Staying power is awesome. Colors are awesome. My favorite is "Chelsea Girls" (the PERFECT opaque, light pinky-beigey-nude). It was the first Nars product I purchased 8 years ago, and what turned me into a Nars whore!

I recieved this in a swap. The color is Capucine. I kind of like it. It's more glossy than lipstick, but thicker than lip gloss (thus stays longer than lip gloss). Capucine is a little bit too red on me, but it works out perfectly if I top it with a nude lip gloss. Actually, it tingles a tiny little bit. So, I think it also plumps the lips. I only give four lippies because it comes in a jar and it's a little bit inconvenient for touching up.

Kind of hard to manage the pot - would not buy again - don't think it's worth the high price and it's weird to swap because it's so juicy and expoxed.

I received my gloss (Baby Doll) as part of a swap and I am so impressed. When I first tried this, I noticed it was sticky, but in a good way. It wasnt liquid-y sticky like most lip glosses. It stayed on my lips for HOURS! It's a great gloss and well worth the price tag of $24. I will definitely purchase again.

My holy grail! This stuff is thick, but that doesn't bother me. I like that most of them are full coverage. And they last all day. I will never be without them.

I love, love, LOVE this. It has awesome staying powder, it's beautiful, shiny, and subtle enough to wear every day, all day.

It comes in a Jar which I thought was inconvenient at first but I've grown to love it, because you don't waste any that way.

I have the Chasity color, which is lavender like and the lip liner to match and it's a beautiful match. It also plumps up my lips.

This is it for me... It's expensive, yes, but worth it. I wish I was this happy with every other product.

Although I've reviewed colors separately and quite a few have not worked with my pigmented lips and colorng, I am a fan of the texture and staying power of Nars' lip lacquers. I hope they come out with more colors! I love the pot packaging. it's not a gloss I whip out and apply easily, but I don't mind since the staying power and low-key shine and near liquid lipstick properties make for a pretty lip.

I have three of these pots now. My first was Eros, which was an impulse buy when I finally broke down and bought my first Orgasm blush.

Just like Orgasm, I couldn't be happier with this product. I have dry lips that chap easily, and this just locks in moisture as soon as it's put on. It's polished enough to substitute for lipstick, which is always too drying on my lips. When I wipe it off at the end of the day, my lips are wonderfully moisturized.

And the color! I have Chelsea Girls, Eros and Diablo, and the color is so vibrant that I don't have layer it on to get more than a sheer stain. But it isn't knock you over bright at the same time. It's just prefect for me.

As for the price, it's expensive at about $26 per pot, but for the quality and results I think it's well worth it. I can see this stuff lasting forever.

Love Love Love.
1) A little Goes a long way
2) The little pot is cute, and b/c it's symetrical and roughly the same circumfrence as my MAC shadow pots easy to store
3) Great Color Selection
4) Sticky and lasts longer than a typical lipgloss
5) I own Diable, Eros, and Butterfield. LOVE LOVE LOVE these shades
6) I like the consistency much better than Channel Glossimers
7) Also like the pots b/c it makes it easy to use a lot or a little with your lip brush. You get more control on how much color you use. Unlide squeeze tubes where it's sort of a crap shoot on how much comes out and with tubes w/ applicators you have to reapply over and over to get lots of product.
8) Low Smear Factor for a gloss

The color is "Hellfire". I bought this to layer over my reds to add a nice punch and it looks incredible!!! It is a beautiful reddish/rustic color with a gorgous shimmer....When added over your red lipstick gives the red color depth or wear alone with a maghoney lip pencil and just this lip lacquer.....I am in love with these lip lacquers!!!! I would repurchase this color again it is beautiful!

At first when I set my eyes on the Lip Lacquers by NARS, I had fallen in love with them. At the moment I purchased two of them - Babydoll and Eros. Both colours look gorgeous on me. However, after a month or so, both of them started to have this really horrible smell. It smelt like something roting in the jars. The funniest part is that I never used my fingers to dip into the jar while applying. I always used my lip brush, so one would think that it was hygeinic. Regardless of the smell i thought I could use it kuz the colours were simply gorgeous, but that wasn't the case. it was just too intolerable...like rotting eggs! Sadly I had to throw both of them away. Good money wasted! Even though I love the colours I will not buy any of this product again!

I wanted to like this. If it hadn't been 75% off at VS,I'd never even consider spending 22 bucks on what amounts to an overpriced gloss. I did love the color Diablo. It's just lovely, but it tastes like plastic wrap & for something called a lacquer,it lasted no longer than any gloss.

This may be my latest HG! I purchased it in "Diablo". The color looks very rich and lush in the jar, but when applied is a perfect sheer red. My complextion is fair and I have auburn hair and this color looks amazing on me. All of my friends with fair complextions loved it when they tried it too.

The consistancy and smell remind me of Clinique's old lip gloss in the jar that I used to love to get into when I was at my Grandmother's house, except this doesn't seem to be quite as gooey, which is a good thing for me.

A little on the expensive side, but worth it for me and I'll definitely buy it again and in different shades.
