Why oh why did BB discontinue this? This is my perfect lipstick. Perfect colour (MLBB) and perfect texture (creamy, slightly glossy, almost sheer) for me and just when I discover it and wonder where it's been all my life, but BB discontinues it! WAAAHHH!
I was quick enough to snap up a few of these lovelies on eBay but they will run out eventually and then I will be very sad. :(
Vale Rosy, I do love you.

Got as a sample from Bobbi Brown.com. Do they sell this color anymore? When I look at the Lip Sheers on their website, Rosy is not listed. Anyway, it's a nice color, just a tad darker than my lips, and shimmery. I like the shimmeriness because otherwise it would be too dull. However, the shimmer is NOT over the top or disco-shimmer. This makes it very appropriate for work or other daytime stuff. Also sort of moisturizing without being slippery. Also seems like it has something minty in it.

I have this in a nude sheer too and frankly, never took to it. Thought it was too drying. I decided to ignore that small fact and bought the Rose. This I love. It's lipstick, no doubt, but not greasy, heavy, or cakey. It's sheer. And it's DEFINITELY my lips but better. I know people say that but if holding this up to my lips? Same shade but a tick rosier. It stays decently...no more than sheer lipsticks do though...and isn't drying me out so far. Hope it doesn't turn dry. Bobbi either addressed the lack of moisture in these things or the nude sheer shade I have is a bum one. I will use this baby up. Looks great with Pink Raspberry pot rouge too if you like those.

Lovely YLBB. I like to punch this up with a sheer pink gloss on top (such as Clinique raspberry superbalm). This is a very creamy lipstick and a very neutral nude rose color with no shimmer. A good basic for anyone's makeup collection.

I am Asian and am constantly on the lookout for the perfect nude lipstick. I found out that lipsticks termed nude washes me out so I have to find one with a pinkish undertone to it. Lip sheer of Bobbi Brown in Rosy is perfect!! Nice consistency, not heavy on the lips and doesn't flake in the middle of the day. I line and fill my lips with the Brownie pink lipliner then top it off with the lipstick and I feel complete. Perfect lipstick really makes my day.

This is one of my favourite lipstick colours, it's a natural rosy brown shade that suits any skin tone. I have people asking me what lipstick I'm wearing, commenting it looks really natural. I love the texture of these, pigmented with a light sheen to it but not over dryiing. It's long lasting as well.

I am always in the market for sheer rosy-pink-brown lipsticks, so I snapped this one up. It is pretty much the color I wish my lips naturally were, and close enough to be convincing. Now, Bobbi's colors are beautiful, healthy and natural, and the packaging is simple and sophisticated. But... the textures could use some improvement. Like BB's other lipsticks, these tend to be a little dry, much more than a sheer lipstick ought to be.
If you're looking for a color like this, try Vincent Longo's Baby Balm in Bocaccino, which I've worn down to a nub. VL's Baby Balm is slightly pinker, shinier and much more moisturizing.
Edit: 7/22/08 -- Rosy is much more pigmented and lasts longer than VL's Bocaccino. So I can live with the relative dryness of this lipstick. I just layer it over my Trader Joe's SPF 15 lip balm, to get the sunprotection and moisture!

This is a very nice your lips but better color. I like to wear it alone or it is also excellent under a nude or pink gloss.

I absolutely LOVE this product! I'm not a huge fan of lipstick but this one is light, sheer, and the PERFECT color for me! (For the record, I'm an NC25 brunette with brown eyes.) Great texture, no awful smell, and beautiful packaging. This is an HG for me!

I first discovered this product in Bobbi's Tawny Shimmer Brick pallette. I absolutely love it! It matches my lips perfect and adds just a hint of sheen to them. A great neutral color also, that looks even better with a dab of gloss. Perfect for those days when I'm not feeling "red" lipped. ;)

This is my least favorite of the four BB lipsheers that I have purchased. The color is a medium rosy brown that looks quite natural on my lips ( MLBB). I don't understand why this color is more drying than my other lipsheers. I can only conclude that something used either to create this particular shade or something ommitted as an ingredient in this shade has caused it to be more drying. Luckily I am quite happy with the other colors I have, so I will not repurchase.

I wanted to love this, but it was a bit too brown on me. I prefer the rosier nature of NARS Dolce Vita, although the texture of this lipstick was great (moisturizing but long lasting). I guess I'll have to try other shades in this formula.

I like this, its a dusky pinkish brown, sheer but buildable. I wear it with clear gloss on top because it makes the color for juicy and flattering. I don't think I'd repurchase it because I already have my holy grail pinkish brown (MAC Cosmo) and its pricey for not being unique. However this is a good lipstick that a lot of skintones can use and I'll for sure use mine up.

This is a great everyday lip product. The colour is a lovely natural brownish rose that enhances the natural colour of my lips, and adds just a bit of shine. It also feels much less heavy than lipstick, but lasts longer than lip gloss. The only grouse I have it - and it's not a major grouse - is that it smells very 'lipstick". Will definitely buy again though!

Lovely nude lipstick for the spring. The colour is a very natural dusky brown pink that matches my lip colour perfectly. Gives shine without too much "glossiness", so perfect for work, meetings, toned down looks. The formula is creamy but can be a but drying after a while. Would buy again though, the colour is the best nude ever!

Very dull color, too creamy and I think looks like a drugstore cheap lipstick.

This is a lovely bitten lips colour. It is like a longer lasting version of Nars Dolce Vita. Rosy is a little drier in texture so it adheres to my lips better but still applies sheer or it can be built up for more colour. My favourite BB lip shade.

wow, i'm not a big lipstick fan, or applying anything that makes my lips stand out (i'm a blush girl!). but, i really like rosy for its consistency, coloring, and sheerness. it really is for gals who want a natural lip color. on me, it's the lip color i wish i had been born with--that sort of bee stung look(i thought laura mercier's lipstick in peony would do that for me, but it ended up being kind of ruddy unline BB's rosy). b/c of its wearability, i don't think it'll clash with whatever blush hue you're wearing. i've worn it w/ nars torrid (which is coral) & milani luminous (golden peachy pink) & surprisingly, rosy doesn't clash! the only downside is the price! around $20. nevertheless, i'd repurchase in a second!

This shade was recommended to me by the an assistant who looked at me in disguist when I said I wear the Cranberry lip sheer with my orangey/coral blushers. He thought it was ridiculous that I wore these clashing shades, but I swear they look nice together! Anyway back to my review, I was a bit dissapointed when I got Rosy because i'm not one of these nude lip lovers, but I really like it now. I appreciate the way it gives a YLBB look which means you can wear it on more toned down days, or when you are playing up your eyes/cheeks. It is a really nice pinky/browny/rosy shade, but mine smells a bit funny, like liqourice, whilst my cranberry lip sheer doesn't.

I like Bobbi's Lip Sheer in "Rosy" and "Bare". If anyone is afraid of wearing a close to red lip color this is the perfect color (Rosy). And if you add clear lip gloss to it, it adds to the look of perfection.
These lip sheers are perfect for everyday and going out. This type of lipstick doesn't go on over done and is not overwhelming. Yet you get the look and feel of having something on. They last a long time so that is a good thing. They are moisturizing as well. The price use to be $20. As with everything now they've gone up. But like I said the colors are perfect and they do last so it is worth the money. They are not overpriced as a Chanel lipstick. I like "Yucatan" from Chanel. However this one does not last as long as the Bobbi Lip Sheer. But both are sheer and moisturizing.
I have repurchased and will continue too.
