This is a really fantastic top coat. Usually, I paint my nails and the polish chips the very next day (and no amount of top coat helps). However, I painted my nails on Sunday and applied two coats of Essie 3-Way Glaze. It is now Friday and my color has remained shiny and completely chip-free! This is almost unheard of for me! I am very impressed and will definitely be buying this again.

I really liked this product! really shiny as a top coat and sure does extend the wear of my polish. my nails are thin/weak, short/medium length that are prone to of course chipping and peeling; that being said, without this top/base coat my polish lasts to my next shower (the next day) which is not ideal because its all chipped and well for lack of a better term, ugly! however, with this top/base coat my polish lasts at least 3 days which does say something about this product.
also looks great by itself
i will re-buy :)

This was great, until I got to about half-way on the bottle. Then, somehow, it started to get extremely gloopy all the time. I would thin it, and it would work fine, but then next time I went to use it, it would be gloopy again! So annoying! It is very hard to thin out, I use like 10 drops of thinner each time (usually only have to use 2) and it is still too thick. Something must be wrong with it.

I gave it a 2 because it worked well for the first half of the bottle
Off to find something better...

This product is amazing! Probably the best base & top coat clear polish I have ever used. Adds a lot of strength and durability to my nails and definitely extends the wear of any polish I use. Definitely will be a repurchase for me and I have recommended it to many friends and family who love it too.

I needed an all-in-one product, because I was going away for a few months, and needed to slim down my baggage, so I thougt I'd give this a go. I didn't have to high expectations, even though the reviews on here were good, I was still kind of reluctant to use an all in one product. (Kinda like using toothpaste as moisturizer... LOL)

Onto the review...
I really really like this! It works as well as any other top/basecoat I've used,
without of course the fast-drying aspect from Good-To-Go, but doesn't take forever to dry as I was afraid it would. But the part that absolutely sold me is that it has improved the condition of my nails! My nails have never been this good, and I use remover w/ acetone (which I didn't do before). My nails are strong enough that I don't have to wear polish (I do anyway, but they've never looked OK w/o before)

When I get home I'll continue to use this as basecoat, but I will go back to Good-To-Go as a topcoat, not because this doesn't perform well, just because the other one is faster. I highly recomnd this product!

This is my HG base+top coat. You can still go about your day and do the dishes, and it really will not chip. Granted, you must not scrub at your nails or anything like that. I just feel that as a top coat, it is so thick and protective looking/feeling. And I do find that if you put a layer of this before you start applying your colored nail polish, it does prevent your nails from turning yellow~

This glaze is a must have for me - I use it as a base and top coat all of the time. I had never had polish stay on my nails for over a week with no chipping before I started using it. It takes a bit longer to dry than other top coats, but if you can give it that time to set effectively (20 minutes or so without a fan/UV) you should be able to type with reckless abandon.

This does a good job at making your nails really shiny, which I like. However, I notice that when I use it, my nail polish doesn't last as long as if I had never used a topcoat,so it is time to try something else.

This is a great money saving product! It does the job of three and it does so wonderfully! It made an even canvas on my gel destroyed nails, so my nail polish applied better! The topcoat corrects streakiness and minor mistakes. I'm not really feeling the hardeners however.

This stuff don't make your polish last longer than other topcoats, however it is better than having none. Overall I'm really satisfied especially since it's a multifunction product.

I think this is a very underrated product. I love using this as a base coat and a top coat. I get great wear out of polishes when I use this as a base coat. I wish it was a little bit more shiny for a top coat but its still my HG base coat. I have and will repurchase this.

I liked this 3 way Glaze. Great base coat. (Polish sticks 2 it like Glue) Best basecoat I have ever used. Good as a topcoat but not real shiny. However doesn't chip. Don't get it 2 thick as a topcoat because it will bubble slightly.

i used this as a top coat and really like it. its super shiny. i haven't used it as a base/strengthener yet. i've been using nutra nail bulletproof to help with my soft nails...I liked it so i didn't want to mess with what was working.

BEST TOPCOAT/ BASE/STRENGTHENER EVER! this stuff is the shiniest, most durable top coat ive ever used. it even looks good applied over fake nails which is extremely rare. and its great because it never looks too thick/tacky no matter how many coats u put on. so say you do your nails on sunday, you need them shinier by wednesday, this stuff is a lifesaver and makes you look like you have a fresh manicure all the time even when you dont. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and plus its good for your nails and is several products in one- u cant beat it!

I got this as part of a set of little Essie polishes, and I'm really happy with it as a base coat. I haven't tried it as a top coat because I just use Seche Vite for that, but it's great as a base! On its own, it's also very pretty as a clear polish. I also think it helps protect my nails from chipping and getting brittle.

I just purchased the essie winter collection 4-piece set and three way glaze came in it. I am so pleased with it and would definitely rebuy it once this bottle runs out. it's super shiny and thick enough to protect my nail polish. it's day four now and it hasn't dulled like virtually every other top coat polish. I love the way it looks; like I had gone out for a manicure the same afternoon. definitely worth the $9.

I'm so disappointed with this.. I have medium length nails and am quite prone to chipping and peeling. I used this as a base and top coat. It did not prevent chipping, essie polishes chip on me in 1-2 days with this. It didn't help my peeling and when the polish chipped it peeled layers with it. And, what annoyed me most was that it gave the tip of my nails a yellow tint, which came off when i took it off. I use sheer polishes, so my tip are quite visible, and it made them yellow :/
Will definitely try other essie treatments though.

This stuff is fantastic! I've tried OPI's Chip Skip before, but this kicks OPI ass. Keeps my nails chip free for days, even through work and school days (typing on keyboard, ripping off labels etc.), and makes almost every polish easier to apply. And that's just by using it as a base, skipping the top coat! I will definitely repurchase!

I have been using Essie's 3-Way Glaze for several years now. I am so happy with it so I just keep repurchasing it. It is everything you need for a perfect maicure all in one. I use it as a base coat and as a top coat. It's the perfect base and top coat. And it is very practical to not have to deal with three different polishes (a base, a color and a top nail polish). I just use this one and a colored nail polish.

The 3-Way Glaze works magic for the lasting power, I easily wear my nail polish for at least a week, sometimes two. The nail polish does not chip when using this as a base and top polish. I love the glossy, shiny finish it provides. This is a HG-product for sure! I hope Essie will never discontinue this amazing product.

Love this. My nails chip in a nano second so I never get manicures or wear nailpolish. 3 way glaze keeps my nails shiny, strong, and chip free.
