I read the reviews here about the Rose Face Mask and I became a bit skeptical. I tried it after receiving it a free sample for my 23rd birthday (whooo!!!). The first time I used it, it did tingle/burn a bit in a way I didn't expect, I thought, "great, it's going to irritate my skin and cause me to break out!!!". I left the mask and Soy Face Cleanser sample in my makeup drawer for about a week. This past week, I decided I would try it again everyday to see how my skin reacted.

I have trouble with an oily T-zone and although they don't really bother me, I have large pores on my cheeks. This product has improved the oiliness of my skin, I did get oily during the day using this product but its not like 'I've just dipped my face in Crisco' oily. I use this product and the Soy Face Cleanser at night in the shower (SFC first, then RFM), and once I'm out of the shower I apply jojoba oil.

I am going back and forth about repurchase simply because of the price ($60+ for 3.3oz?!?!). The product itself works well for my skin and I've tried products from various brands that claim to moisturize to result in less oily skin and they simply don't. My pores are smaller (which, like I said, doesn't actually bother me but I did take notice), my skin is way less oily and it glows! My skin feels moisturized, "hydrated", which is what the product claims it will do. I'm quite happy about it.

I love this soothing face mask. I wear this every morning for 10-30 min before I get ready and it calms my redness and irritation associated with any acne or hyper pigmentation I have going on. It smells lovely, like roses and cucumbers, and feels cooling on the skin.

I didn't realize how great this product was, and how much it helped my skin, until I stopped using it. It is outrageously expensive, which makes me so mad because I didn't want to love this product as much as I do lol. That said, this stuff is great. I have very dry, sensitive, easily-irritated skin. My skin will freak out, turn red, break out, as a reaction to anything it doesn't like (which is a lot of things). This stuff soothes, calms, smooths, and retexturizes my skin. If I don't use this product for over a month, when I finally do, it will sting a bit. However, that sting quickly subsides and my skin feels calmed. When I use this mask consistently (once a week), my skin always behaves. I have less redness, breakouts, texture issues, clogged pores, and dryness. The price is steep, yes, but this tub will last you a very long time. It's a decent sized tub, and you don't need much. I couldn't love this stuff more. There is something about it that my skin absolutely loves, and when my skin doesn't get it, does it ever have a tantrum! Lol it sounds silly, but its true. It's a gel-like consistency, and a translucent brown color. Smells absolutely divine (I'm a sucker for anything rose-scented), and has a cooling effect on the skin when applied. I leave this mask on as long as possible, the longer the better. I paid about $75 CAN for this mask from Sephora. Will definitely repurchase, again and again.

For 72$ would I purchase it again?

No not really. I'll admit the aroma; once you put it on your face is pleasant, it's like a de-stresser if anything. But in terms of hydrating the skin and toning it. I did not see a difference.

I've been using it for the past two month just because I love the scent.

It has not caused my sensitive skin to break out, it could be used daily when you leave it on for 5-10 minutes. But I really did not see any major improvements.

Here's the thing: this mask is completely objective. It won't hurt you, but it definitely won't help you. This is about as effective as a rosewater spray, except it smells like ginseng.

I have dry skin that used to be oily, but has definitely made up its mind now and there's no going back. I used this mask after I exofoliated with my clarisonic to help calm down some of the redness and angry bumps on my skin. It definitely helped to neutralize my heavy scrubbing (I know, I know) but didn't leave my skin feeling any different. I would say this is a great product for someone who has sensitive skin and just needs something to calm it down. Definitely no lasting effects, and if I have to go through the hassle of washing my face twice, I want it to be worth my time.

I'm really surprised by the low rating on this mask. I've been using it for several months and I really enjoy it, about to purchase another tub!

Honestly I didn't even expect to like this mask. It's mean to hydrate and tone which is something I never thought I would pay $62 for in a mask. However I was wrong. I completely fell in love with this mask after receiving a deluxe sample and to my surprise, the black tea mask which I thought I would love ended up being okay to me. This is the one that I really liked in the end!

This mask has real rose petals in it which is really fun and luxurious. It looks like a brown jelly - not the most attractive looking but I can look past that. It smells strongly of roses so beware if you're not a fan of rose scents. Personally I'm obsessed with the smell! When you put this on, it feels very cooling and relaxing. You can definitely leave this on over the recommended time as it is very gentle on the skin. Once you rinse off, your skin feels sooo soft and hydrated. I find that whenever my skin is dry and I use this, it instantly restores my skin to feeling great and perfectly hydrated. I do feel like the effects last even after rinsing the mask off. I have sensitive acne proned skin and this has not broken my out.

If your skin ever feels dry, try this mask! There's always deluxe samples at sephora, and Nordstrom. I never thought I would really care for a hydrating mask but I have been using this a lot more that I expected and I love being able to give my skin a drink of rose water whenever I need it. Overall a great treat and a must have for those obsessed with rose! :)

I received a very large sample tub of this mask as a 500 point perk from Sephora. I have been very happy with nearly all Fresh products I've sampled that Has lead to multiple purchases. I cannot live without my Fresh Rose Water Toner. That being said, I first lightly mist my skin with the rose water toner, then apply a moderate layer of the Rose mask avoiding my eye area. I leave it on around 30 minutes then rinse with cold water. My skin feels soft and extremely hydrated. The only way I'd be happier is if this tub came with some sort of a pump, and was a little less expensive.

Fresh Rose Face Mask is meant to hydrate and tone skin, and is a 50% rosewater formula that also contains rose petals.

I have dry/sensitive skin, love the smell of roses and have previously had some incredibly positive experiences with rose water/extract based products. This was a blind buy at Sephora, and I was excited to try this mask.

However, my enthusiasm quickly waned upon opening the jar. I got hit in the face with the cloying artificial scent of a drawer sachet, not the fresh, clean rose I was expecting. The mask has a slightly runny texture, and felt somewhat unpleasant and sticky to apply. It's an odd brackish brown color, and while the artificial top note (which I'd guess is added fragrance) does die down after application, I was rapidly beginning to think I'd have gotten better cooling results from fanning myself with the $62 I spent on this.

After about 90 seconds, my skin began to sting and itch, a warning shot that irritation was soon to follow. I spent the next 15 minutes rinsing what seemed like a copious amount of greasy residue off of my face, and a solid week soothing the resulting blotchiness/bad reaction with my tried and true stable of genuinely soothing products.

I gave the jar away, as I was never going to use it again. The experience was highly unpleasant, and it has put me off trying any of the other products from this line. A perusal of the ingredients list did reveal additional fragrance/parfum, which is an odd choice (to be exceedingly polite) for a mask sold as "soothing" ,made by a company that loves to tout itself as "natural"

I got this as a sample at Sephora and I was super excited to try it but I was pretty disappointed. The rose smell wasn't very appealing to me (it didn't smell like roses in my opinion...I love the smell of roses!). I found it smelled sort of floral but really strong and weird. It didn't do much for my skin honestly except make it feel a little more hydrated. I definitely wouldn't purchase a full size of it, given the price tag I don't think it would be worth it.
