I am on my second bottle of this shampoo, as I really love it. I have extremely long, thick hair. Initially I wanted a shampoo that I could use now and then to give me that extra clean, squeaky feel. This certainly does that! However, I have taken to using this every time I wash my hair as I'm addicted to the squeaky clean wash that it gives. It's not dried my hair out at all, I feel it's gentle enough to use in place of my regular shampoo. I just make sure I use conditioner on the ends of my hair. This shampoo certainly does what it claims to do, and the best thing is its so reasonably priced! Absolutely love it.

I have extremely oily skin and hair. With my hair I cannot go a day without washing it and I have to be careful with what shampoos I use...it seems like just about everything I used would make my hair look like a big greaseball...until I started using this. This is indeed "clarifying." It cleans my scalp so well. You must use conditioner when using this shampoo though. For those who don't have oily scalps, I would recommend using this once a week to get rid of any build-up. For those with oily hair like me, using this once a day is a must. This product is cheap and comes in a big bottle. Love it...it's changed my hair for the better.

I bought this product on sale (it was so cheap at Kmart!) and no wonder it was on sale.. the shampoo is labelled "clarifying" but only made my hair oily and really hard to manage! Im not extremely particular about hair car products (even if i dont really like something, i'll just use it up) but this is making my hair limp and dead!

I use this once a week as I use a heap of products in my hair. I absolutely love it. My hair and scalp feel so so clean afterwards. I bought this on sale, and I can't believe how cheap it is considering the amount. Still wish it came with a pump. I follow up with a silicone free conditioner, also from Tresemme. My hair still feels very soft and manageable after using it, but as others say, once a week is plenty for me.

It does what it says - the shampoo cleans all that gunk out of your hair and does leave my hair squeaky clean. I know that's not supposed to be a good thing but about once a week or so, that's the kind of clean I want. However I don't think it's drying and my hair looks shiny afterwards.

It's the only shampoo that really works effectively on my dogs as well after they've rolled in things I'd rather they not have.

On the negative side, I don't know why don't include a pump. It's a bit annoying to hoist that huge bottle upside down when a pump would be so much more convenient. Sometimes they have "specials" and include the pump as a bonus. I'd rather they charge me a buck more and include the pump every time.

Also, it does tend to strip my hair color which is why I use it so infrequently.

All in all though, a great product and does what it says for a very low price.

This shampoo is supposed to remove buildup, but it hasnt made any difference to my hair. Will not re-purchase.

I'm at my 3rd bottle and this time I actually got a BIG one (1000 ml).
I have fine hair, with dry ends. However, my hair gets greasy at the roots very fast, so I have to wash it every 2-3 days.

I use this shampoo for my greasy roots together with a TRESemme moisturinsing conditioner that I apply on my dry ends.
I have to say it's the perfect combination! I've been using it for a few months now and fortunately I've had no problems with my scalp, no damage to the hair, no dandruff. And it's not expensive at all.

In the beginning I really liked this, and used it in rotation with another TRESemme shampoo and conditioner. My hair felt really clean and healthy. Now after a few weeks, I've stopped using it as it left an oily residue which made my hair feel like I hadn't washed it in days! Couldn't stand leaving my hair out! I had tried TRESemme on another occasion which left me unsatisfied. Won't be trying again!

This product is horrible. It left an oily residue on my hair. My hair felt so gross I rewashed it with a different shampoo after a few hours. Although this product is reasonably priced I would not recommend it if you want clean, manageable hair.

I could not say much on the rest of their other shampoos as I do not find them of any Salon quality at all as advertised.

But for their clarifying shampoo, I could say that it does a great job in stripping off all product residues left over by styling aids accumulated over time due to our daily usage just like what Neutrogenas's shampoos are so good at doing.

Many may find their hair or squeeky when touch but follow up with a good conditioner, all this will be immediately rectified.

As a word of caution, think it will be great to use it once in a week or two as too frequent usage may strip off even the much needed natural oils and could be too drying.

Would definitely continue using this product as it is much more cheaper and easier to buy than Neutrogena's shampoo.

I never really liked any of the Tresemme shampoos or conditioners at all but Despite some negative reviews on here, I gave this shampoo a chance. And I'm glad I did! My hair has never been this bouncy and "clean" feeling. The smell doesn't bother me at all- and you can't beat the price- 3 bucks! A good buy for my shampoo rotation.

Due to the ads showing that the products are meant to be salon quality, I fell for it as the price is affordable and the bottles are huge so its good value for money. But yikes, left my hair greasy and oily and weighed it down. It left an oily residue on the roots and within a couple of hours of washing my hair, I had to re-wash it as it was terribly greasy. All Tresemme shampoos are like this!

Definitely not good to use more than once a week. But nonetheless, it does its job. The smell is sort of strong and perfume-like - I don't prefer the smell. It was pretty good in terms of the effectiveness of hair clarifying. However, I'd rather use something that also clarifies hair well, but doesn't smell as artificial or strong.

Really excellent shampoo! My hair is curly, very fine, very dry, and gets very flat easily. I have to use a lot of product just to make it manageable - which of course ends up making my hair flat half way into my day. This shampoo gets all the junk out, and makes it light and full of volume. I think it even makes my dry, dull hair shinier (the vitamin C?) although that could be my conditioner being more effective once the junk is out. Overall, I think this shampoo is gentle enough to use several times a week if I use a good conditioner. I would highly recommend this for someone with similar hair and problems!

I LOVE IT!
of course when you are is "CLARIFYING" shampoo
it's basically a DEEP CLEANSING FOR YOUR SCALP and HAIR. Some people get upset that it makes their hair frizzy, but thats why you use a CONDITIONER after. DUH!
especially if you have dry damaged hair.


I use it once a week or every 2 weeks just to get the gunk out from hairspray/gel/etc in my hair. Everytime I use this shampoo, I use a Deep Conditioner on my ends so they don't dry out.

A very good overall shampoo. I have spent loads of money on Aveda, keratese but nothing come close to what itdid. It made my hair clean without making my scalp feeling tight and with just a little bit of herbal essance conditioners at the ends and that is it. My hair is so soft.Surprisingly my hair is nolonger that fizzy either. Amazing

this is the best shampoo for getting rid of product build up in the hair!.
however I have to always use conditioner afterwards, or the hair will look frizzy when it drys. I dont use this everyday its more of a product to use when the hair starts looking flat from product build up, after using this and the vitamin E conditioner my hair is beautiful and full of bounce, easy to style. good product!.

"Awful stuff! This product made my hair feel greasy and not soft at all. It either majorly overcleaned or didnt clean at all. I prefer Pantene 2 in 1 over this product by far. This tresemme shampoo is not recommended, it is just a big waste of money and a big disappointment."

a few days after use I noticed that my scalp had big flakes by the part. My scalp was crusty and gross. After a few days of my pantene it was back to normal. Horrible!

I love this shampoo!
I have long, curly hair, and I find this shampoo excellent! I used to use the moisture rich shampoo, but I found this weighed my hair down and made it greasy very quickly. The clarifying shampoo is great though. It smells wonderful, cleanses hair of product build up and that awful ash-tray smell you get from a night out, and if you follow up with the correct conditioner for your hair type (I use the moisture rich conditioner) it's suitable for everyone. Plus, it's excellent value for money.
