My skin felt a little sticky after I applied this. I was only using it once a day and not twice like recommended. I didn't feel that it did much for my skin and it was also a hefty $68! The Mushroom cleanser definitely helped with my redness and sensitivity, but not this serum. The smell is okay... but definitely interesting.

I suffered serious acne during my teen period and my skin now is very sensitive and always red. At the first apply, I fell in love with this product' smell. It's a little bit greasy with my skin during summer month but I didn't mind, I used it as my night moisturizer. Then I found out that this serum made my skin irritated if I didn't combine it with other Origins products (cleanser, toner, mask, etc). It's still okay, I had an opportunity to try more from Origins. However, they didn't make any difference on my skin and after around 3 months of using this serum, my face was more red, my pores were more enlarged and if I have hormonal pimples, it made them worse. I stopped using it immediately and then my skin irritated with everything I put on my face. That terrible time lasted about 2 or 3 months and during that time, I couldn't use any skin care product except cleanser and toner.

Rudolph - that's my nickname. When i was young I used extremely harsh products on my nose and so it's been really red and irritated, which is by far my biggest skin problem. It turns red in heat, cold and generally by any stimuli. Using this serum I have seen some improvement (used it for about 3 months) and I'll continue to use it, hopefully soon with the creme. I definitely recommend it to others with red/sensitive skin, as it is the most effective product I've experienced in this category. Deifnitely recommend using the cleanser too!

I love this serum. I had a deluxe sample that I used for a few weeks and went out and bought this in the full size version. I have dry skin and this can still substitute for a moisturizer. I put it on at night and wake up with skin that isn't red! Hallelujah

oh god, this was horrible. i have very sensitive, acne-prone skin that was doing really well before i tried this monstrosity. i applied it before bed and woke up to a batch of cystic acne on my chin and little red bumps around my nose. beware of this product if you are acne prone!

This stuff really works. I was using it a few years ago and then I stopped because it was so expensive and I was on a quest to find the perfect product. Well, this stuff is really good. I even had the liquid drops that you take daily, but they discontinued those. I think if you pair a healthy diet, vitamins, and a good moisturizer with this serum, your face will thank you for it. I get compliments when I use it. I'm going to restart my origins face regimen soon... I've wasted so much money on stuff that doesn't work, like Estee Lauder Night Repair Serum *cough cough* It's worth it!

I've used this product for 5 years. I "broke up" with it a year ago because the bottle is super expensive and I felt like it was not doing enough. I started using it again about 6 weeks ago. I apply 2 pumps every night. And I rembered how great this product is!! My friend told me the other day "your skin is glowing,this is the best I've seen your skin" I realized that through life you have stresses, bad diet, pms,not sleeping enough and many other things that change in your life and one skin care product can't fix all that. So yes, even with this product your skin might not be perfect all the time but this product has made my skin tone more even. It used to be blotchy and red around my cheeks but now it's less red. And it makes your skin glow! Love it!!!

I used a bottle of this a while ago. I have no idea what it did to my skin cause I didn't notice any difference or benefits whatsoever. Havent bought it again.

I agree with some of the other reviewers about the oily feeling after wearing it at night and waking up feeling gunk on my face, but this product works for the most part. The only real down side is the awful smell of this product. I have combination skin and I get terrible dry flakes in the nose area and this product really helped get the moisturizer to absorb better. Don't ever drop the bottle because the cap pops off easily and won't go back on.

I've only been using this for a little over a week and I'm so happy with the results so far. I've tried lots of different lotions and potions to treat my acne rosacea and nothing has really worked in minimising redness or broken capillaries despite all their claims. I've been using the Clinique redness range for years now and its good because it doesn't make me react, but it doesn't reduce redness as much as it says it would. So i tried this serum and for once i can actually see a visible difference. Redness has been reduced dramatically, although not completely and even the smaller veins are less visible. The more problem veins are still visible but are much less red than before. Hopefully with continued used the results will improve even more. Fingers crossed!

This is honestly my HG serum and i absolutely do not throw that word around. In fact this is the only product I have ever claimed is a HG. I have very sensitive combination skin, dry in winter. All year round this is the perfect soothing serum and actually HEALS any rashes, eczema or sensitivity on my face. Unfortunately this happens a lot as i try out tons of products and i react to a alot of them even though i do a lot of research. I also react to foods and other inconvenient things! This is truely the best product i have ever found, if i had to use only one skincare product it would be this.
It soothes any itchy red patches, reduces redness and keeps the skin slightly moisturised and very comfortable. After a few weeks of using this, i felt like my skin looked healthier and somehow less dull. This is very rare for me, i have tried in vain to see any "healthy glow" from many many products but they were either too basic, clogging or irritating to the skin. I am slightly prone to pore clogging and after using this for almost a year, i haven't experienced anything bad at all. I use this day in conjunction with the treatment lotion (toner) and it works fantastically. The toner is wonderful as well, but this was the product that made the biggest difference on my face. I have tried other serums from high end brands like Lancome, Estee Lauder, Decleor, Darphin and tons of other natural/organic brands as well but nothing has been half as effective especially considering this is neither heavy nor a straight oil.
The only nit-picking issue i can think of is that it smells quite herbally, I love herbal scents but i can see some people perhaps not loving it.Some people are saying its just a moisturiser with no anti-ageing effects but anti-ageing isn't really the main use for this serum. If you don't have sensitivity or redness, then you probably won't see huge results. I agree, there are more effective anti-ageing serums but this is honestly the best anti-inflammatory, soothing and healing product i have ever come across and the ingredients are wonderful. The price isn't cheap but certainly not terrible, and well worth the buy!

I have really been liking this serum. I have acne prone combo skin which gets red. Especially because I am using retin-A. This serum helps me not get flakes in my dry areas and overall improves the tone of my skin. I notice that my skin is much more even once I put this on. I don't know if that is caused by the slight green tint of it but I don't notice green after I blend it unlike green primers or correctors. Does not clog my pores. I really like this product! My skin looks brighter and more even.

This is a dupe for the YSL serum, I love this product. I've been using this in conjunction with Tazorac and they have completely changed my skin. It contains ganoderma lucidum which has been used as an anti aging product. It is amazing. I use Tazorac everyday and I love how this reduces irritation.

I got a sample of it last winter.
When I started trying it out last winter, I did't see any difference in my skin despite that it makes my face super oily in the morning (I applied at night) although my skin was fairly well at that time. So I stopped.
Recently I decided to use up all of my samples and I applied it again. Suprisingly, it actually works this time. My skin was a bit irritated by the silicone-based primers I tested days ago. But the serum calms it very well and my skin isn't oily at all. Then I figured maybe it's because I used a lighter moisturiser now during summer time.
Overall, this serum somehow does calm your skin to a certain level. However, given all the other's bad reviews, I think it may not give significant improvement to those with serious redness. And it may make your skin oily if you're using a rich moisturiser.
Will I buy again? No. Too pricey for such a moderate effect.

i dont know wt's wrong with my skin, this serum just doesn't work on me. i still hv redness problem and it kinda makes it worser. god....and its god shit price.....in my opinion, for teenage girls who have tight budget like me, maybe just try some other products to help relieve ur redness.

This product makes your face feel like its being dipped into cool gel. Over time it made the rosacea in my cheeks and nose go away. I love the glass packaging too.

For anyone that has roseacea, this is a must have! It has dramatically improved the redness in my skin and has helped keep my skin feeling soft and moisturized without feeling oily. It works best when combined with Dr. Weil's "Night Health", which can be used as a daytime moisturizer as it is not too heavy. UPDATE--> Sadly, I had to discontinue use of this product due to the appearance of severe cystic acne.

Yesterday I tried a sample of this product in my neck....Thank god I did not apply in my face!!. This morning my neck was swollen as if I had swallowed a turkey, completely red and itchy....I wonder what kind of mushroom this product contains....

I have combination skin that is prone to 'hormonal' breakouts (chin); dryer in the winter; and sensitive. I have redness from acne scars and hyperpigmentation. I have tried a variety of products with many promises. I started using this product in the spring and love it! I could tell an immediate difference in my skin tone and it actually seemed to help the acne. I quit using it over the summer (thought I would try something less expensive) and I fought redness and breakouts. I could tell the difference in my skin. I am very sensitive to scents and find this one calming. I am back to using this product and will not be without it in the future! I can once again tell the difference in my skin tone and texture.
