Wow. This wasn't good. I wouldn't consider this a 'light' mosituriser at all, it feels quite heavy on the skin and takes a while to absorb. AS for balancing I experienced the complete opposite, my face felt uncomfortably greasy the morning after, especially around my T Zone, and I ended up breaking out pretty quickly.

This is a great moisturizer for people with sensitive skin. It is very light. Smells very light ang nice, without a hint of irritation. Only con is that it's not moisturizing enough for me and does nothing else but a tiny bit of moisturizing.
However if that's what you're looking for, this moisturizer is great.

I bought this product not too long ago after loving the liz earle cleanse and polish. for the first few days I loved it, even so much as to put it in a blog post of my favourite products! I may as well have jinxed myself, as ever since, it has without fail, broke me out every single day! It leaves my skin feeling soft for about an hour or two, then i'm back to an oily t-zone. I have read on the Liz Earle website about refunds and returns, and am hoping that this applies in store too as I really feel I have wasted my money! I wish i'd read more reviews before I bought the product as they are mostly negative! I'd love to hear recommendations of moisturisers for normal/combination skin types!

I wish there were a maybe button when they ask if you would buy it again...
While I really love the cleanse & polish and toner, I am so-so on this moisturizer. It works well in tandem with the other two at night (if for no other reason than the scent) but I am still looking for an HG daily (under makeup) moisturizer.
I do love the pump bottle and that the scent is the same as the other two products but it does still sometimes sting a tad (but be aware this is bc of my dermatologist prescribed acne meds) and doesnt completely do everything I "need" it to do.
I want moisture without shine and breakouts, as well as no stinging sensation. So far, I havent found it yet!

I wanted to love the skin repair light as use the hot cloth polish, superskin concentrate and the deep cleansing mask but it breaks my combination skin out into little bumpy spots. Hadn't changed anything in my routine so it was definitely the skin repair which caused the flare up of pimples on my cheeks, forehead and chin. Have just been given a sample of the normal combination moisturiser and so far soft skin which seems clearer.

I loved this product when I was using BCP and my skin was slightly on the drier side, now I have acne ridden skin that's really dry but this just breaks me out something rotten. Shame because I adore the smell, don't know what it is but I find it super comforting and just lovely. I use it as a hand cream now and actually it works better than anything I've tried so it was almost not a total waste of cash. Just beware if you're acne prone or get clogged pores easily, this is not a light cream in any way.

It's an OK moisturiser, that I sometimes reach for (3 times / month). Strangely, it irritated my skin badly (causing extreme redness and itchiness) when I once put it in the evening directly on the skin (after Instant Boost Tonic, but skipping my usual serum). I don't know if this was the moisturiser or the Cleanse and Polish that I used that night.
Anyway, when I put it in the morning on top of the serum, it works OK under my mineral make-up. However, I always 'protect' my skin with serum prior to applying it.
I also noticed that it breaks me out a bit. Needless to say, the product is well overpriced.

I *adore* the Liz Earle cleanse and polish, and toner so I had high hopes for this. However, it failed to live up to my expectations. The moisturiser is OK and did the job of moisturizing my skin, but I didn't feel it did this any better than drug store brands. It's not quite 'light' enough for my combination skin and left my skin feeling very slightly sticky, although it became soft after the stickiness wore off (but not super soft). Overall, its does the job but there are better (cheaper) products out there and I don't think it's worth the money.

Loved this when first used it. But found it to be a bit greasy for Oil/Combo skin. Made me break out quite a bit. Sad, as I love other Liz Earle Products.

This is my "go to" summer moisturiser - it's light enough that my face doesn't develop into an oil slick, but still keeps me moisturised all day - I don't get the weird dry patches on my cheeks that I'm prone toin the sunshine.
I love the scent - like all liz Earle products it's a lightly floral scent. The packaging is ok - my main gripe is that I never quite know how much is left, so I end up either repurchasing too early, or running out, which is a mite bit frustrating.
I find his absorbs rapidly enough into my skin, so I can get on with my make up routine fairly quickly.
It's not moisturising enough for me in the winter, so I switch to the one in the tub!

I wanted to like this so much but alas not meant to be. My skin is prone to blemishes and quite oily. When I put this onto my skin and have a blemish it hurts the blemish, like it irritates me kinda thing, which I can imagine is only making the spots worse. It doesn't sink well into my skin and my make up tends to just sit on top and move around. It has a plasticine smell which doesn't bother me but isn't nice. It reminds me a bit of Clinique dramatically different moisturiser which makes me feel the same way. I think there's some kind of ingridient in the two that must irritate me. Here's the worst thing, it gave me big huge irritated spots. I'm pretty sure it's down to this moisturiser because I haven't changed anything else in my regime.

Great little moisturizer, I still like experimenting with different brands but this is my staple go-to. It doesn't clog my skin at all, it's light enough to deal with hormonal skin - but is also moisturizing enough for the odd dry patch. Very balancing.
Smell is nice, texture pleasant and the tube that you can get it in is nice and hygienic. Win.

I bought this product because I have very sensitive combo skin prone to breakouts and after all the rave reviews I heard from friends and MUA I thought I would chuck out my usual harsh chemical chemist bought washes and lotions and invest in the Liz Earle Autumn Winter kit for oily/combo skin.
The first 2 days I used it I was amazed by the change- smaller pores, clean, fresh, comfortable, glowing skin- but as I kept using it a patch of bumpy dry skin developed and now my face and neck is covered in a bumpy, itchy rash- I am allergic to something in either this or one of the other products in the kit and I am just gutted because I wanted it to work for me so much as I love everything else about it.
Don't be put off by my review, but just be aware that although it all natural and for the most sensitive skins it can still cause a negative reaction.
What should I try now?!

So i orignally brought the Liz Earle Skin repair for normal/combo skin but i realized i needed the skin repair light because the other one was too thick and greasy for my skin, so i exchanged it.
This Moisturizer is amazing. It smells fantastic and its natural. Unlike other moisterizers, this doesnt feels heavy and greasy when i spply it too my skin. I have a small sample tube of this which i brought back in July and i'm still using it, it lasts ages.
I only have one problem with it, which is why i deducted a lippie. I find that when i apply this moisterizer in the morning, throughout the day my skin get incrediblly oliy and the shine is awfull. So insted i only use this mouisterizer at night but apply a shine control moisterizer in the morning. Job done :)

I typically buy the seasonal "cleanse and polish" kit, as it usually comes with a full size sample of something neat. I run out of the toner first, then the cleanser, and then this. I have oily skin, but LE's products keep it clean. It's also rather sensitive, and I've never had any issue with any of Liz's products. The reason I run out of the moisturizer first is because I use it very lightly. However, it does the job of moisturizing my skin without causing spots. That's something new and different! It is far away the best moisturizer I've ever found. It's light, melts into my skin, and does not leave any kind of greasy after-feel.
If you've got oily, sensitive skin that is starved for healthy moisture, try this. (I've even found I don't break out as much when I use it, because my skin isn't trying to add back everything the toner and cleanser took out - like the littlest bear in Goldilocks, this is "just right.")

When I started using Liz Earle Products like 8 years ago she only did two types of moisturiser and even the combo option was too heavy for my oily skin - plus it seemed to congest it. So I continued to love the Cleanse & Polish and Toner but used other moisturisers. I was very happy to learn she had introduced the light version - I am trying the 'Try me' size which is about £6. The full product retails at about £16 The packaging of all LE products is beautiful and works well. I am very pleased this comes in a pump version too - jars don't thrill me.
I waited till my skin was clear before using this and so far it has been good. I think that it is still a little bit heavy for me but I use half the amount and mix with some LE Toner or Avene Thermale spray before application. Sometimes if it's looking a bit dull I mix a small part with a little DHC acerola gel and that works amazingly. It hydrates and repairs scars etc well and gives my skin a nice texture. Nice one Liz!
The other thing I would say is you do not need a lot of product on each application (apply sparingly) so the price is well worth it. Plus I do like her ethos and the fact she *tries* to make products as natural as possible.
UPDATE: With the wrong cleanser this stuff can really congest my pores, however with my Avene Cleanance it seems ok. Can occasionally feel waxy but that may just be me? Will continue to use anyway.

I am one of those people who heard the hype for this product from countless magazines, but I have to honestly say that this product did not work for me. The texture and the absorbtion quality is very good, but it was not hydrating enough for me, I found myself flaking around the nose and mouth, something which never happnes, as I have oily breakout prone skin. It smells nice and I like the concept of it, ie, it is natural, so I might try out the other skin repair for normal skin and hope that one fares better. But overall I would not repurchase this one, as I find that it was totally wrong for me.

ive been using this product for 2 years now and of course, im happy with it uz i wont stay that long if its not good. i just need very small amount and there it goes. nice smell, light moisture that works well in my a bit oily skin. doesnt cause me breakouts which is the most important, as some causes me. everytime i wanted to try others and give me breakouts, i go back and ran to this product : ) the next day, the pimple has dried and sooner will be gone.
its my savior really. i think liz earle is a very good product.

I hate to bring a popular product down but unfortunately this didn't work for me :(((( I have combo/oily, acne-prone skin and had a really bad breakout a while back. I thought the weather change meant that my regular moisturiser wasn't hydrating enough and I looked through the MUA reviews and thought I'd give this a go. As other reviewers have said, this moisturiser has a lovely buttery texture that absorbs right into the skin and smells nice too. My face felt soft and moisturised after and I thought, so far so good! But that's where it ended. I *definitely* broke out from this product :(((( The first time it happened (which was the first time I used this) I couldn't pin it down to this but I didn't use it again for a good few days. Then I decided to give it another go and bam - red pimples all over my cheeks again!! It's such a shame cause I LOVE everything else about this moisturiser - texture, smell, packaging, price and moisturising effect. I'm guessing all the natural oils and stuff are probably too much for acne-prone skin like mine. However if you have normal-ish skin definitely give it a try :))))
