I loved the smell of this shampoo, it was runny and lathered well. It smells amazing. It hydrated well and did the job I think. Overall I loved it.

My hair is fine but I have a lot of it, and it's dry from using heated products.

I found this product very difficult to foam up and create a lather, meaning I had to use more of it than a normal shampoo.

It didn't hydrate my hair anymore than any other cheaper shampoo would do. I even followed it with the conditioner.

Not impressed really.

Although this product wasn't "terrible" it did not hydrate my fine curly hair. I would rather stick with my regular drugstore brands than buy another bottle of this shampoo.... especially for the price you pay...

Favorite.Shampoo.Ever. It adds shine and body to my straight blonde hair, without frizzies. The smell is rather musky but I enjoy it. The packaging is not great, I have to use lots of force to open the lid when it is 100% closed. I do believe this line has been replaced and i DON'T KNOW WHAT I'LL DO! lol.

I purchased both the Ultra Hydrating shampoo and conditioner as part of a set. I have long, very fine, wavy hair. I'm constantly on the lookout for hair products that will strengthen and add weight to my hair. I understand that that majority of people want their hair to be 'weightless' but my hair is sooo fine that I need something that will add body and cut the frizzies. I have tried many expensive shampoos and this compares quite favourably to top end 'poos (Shu Uemura, Philip B's Russian Amber, etc.). The shampoo and conditioner combo provide a reasonable amount of volume (not quite as much as Russian Amber or Ojon's Damage Reverse Restorative shampoo and conditioner) but the thing it does provide is fantastic shine and hydration and, rather late in life, I have come to the conclusion that healthy hair is more important than big hair... However, this may all be irrelevant as I think this range has in fact been replaced by the Volume Advance range...?

I was afraid of even trying this after reading alot of negative reviews here. I got the courage today because after adding some highlights to my hair, it felt drier to me and coarser.(if that is even possible). I have a fair amount of shoulder length hair that has lost it's wave and shine over the years. It gets really bushy and somewhat frizzy. I feel like a Giapet in rainy weather. My colorist says I am crazy, but I know my hair. It feels more coarse than usual, less shiny and very dry. I am 54 years old and have tried so many shampoo's , conditioners, glosses, etc. I just bought Nioxin cause my daughter swears the 3 step system leaves her hair shinier and healthier. I also got Kim Vo shampoo which did a decent job as well but still left it feeling coarse. Well, I got the courage tonight and tried it. My hair felt smoother in the shower and I could run my fingers through it easily. The smell isn't bad and the conditoner actually smells nice. It doesn't lather much, which is an indicator that there isn't detergent in it. I just blew it out and it feels so smooth, silky (for my hair) and very, very soft. So different than what it was before washing. I hope I have found the answer to my problems. Going grey is bad enough. Having coarse grey hair sucks. I will edit in two weeks and hopefully I will have nothing but positive comments.

It's a nice shampoo and it smells great, but it's nothing to write home about. As far as hydration is concerned, it's okay. I do love the smell, just not the price.

The only thing saving this from the lowest rating is the scent. Extremely sub-par and overhyped/overpriced product. Did absolutely nothing to hydrate or condition my hair. I equate the results I got to Dollar Tree shampoo. $9+ for a travel sized, 2 oz. bottle that I needed 1/2 of to get my hair & scalp clean. The flip top bottles are evil. I cut my shower-softened thumb when I tried to open it... had to use a wash cloth to get it open. Thank God Sephora has an awesome return policy, because this is definitely going back.

I just used a sample of this stuff two days ago, and two shampoos ago and I still cannot get the disgusting smell to leave my hair. It did a decent job as far as a shampoo, but the smell is rank! I wouldn't use it if it made my hair look perfect, with no styling. It smells like you washed your hair with a pile of ashes from burnt insence (sp.)

I bought a trial size of this shampoo at Sephora and I am glad it was only a trial size. This made my hair feel heavy and dried out, I wasn't a fan of the smell either

this shampoo and it's conditioner were impulse buys because Ulta no longer stocked the other products i had originally went in the store for. now, i have really been tryg to make it a habit to not buy things on a whim w/o researchg them and their reviews first. needless to say when i actually used these particular products, i was reminded of why. first, the smell was just too intense and didn't appeal to me at all. second, expensive (overpriced IMO). third and most importantly...straw-city! they felt dryg and ineffective upon application and just as dry and ineffective after bathing (before and after styling). they just didn't work for me just as w/ other reviewers (as i certainly know now *palm hits head*). so i will not be purchasing these products again and infact will be returning them asap. was a good reminder though, of why i should read reviews before layin' down the plastic for something new.

I'm on my third or fourth bottle of this shampoo, but not all in succession. I just keep coming back to it because it's the only shampoo that doesn't make my hair feel stripped down and straw-like. I don't get that since my hair isn't processed or heat styled at all, but there you have it. My roots get really oily and my ends get all scratchy, but they're not split. Anyway, this shampoo doesn't seem to weigh my hair down too much and even though I don't find the shampoo tremendously hydrating, at least it's not drying my hair out. I'm sticking with Ojon for now because I get tired of wasting time & money on trying other stuff. I have other things to do, for pete's sakes.

This shampoo must be meant for old, wiry, damaged hair because it really weighed mine down and made it look dull and dense. Definitely not for all hair types. If your hair is already normal and healthy you don't need this. It will hurt you not help you.

I, like others, have a love-hate relationship for this product. Before smelling this shampoo, I could never understand why anyone would spend ridiculous amounts of money on something that literally goes down the drain. After smelling it, I had to have it! The smell was amazing and lasted in my hair after I got out of the shower and gave my hair volume and made it soft. However, after about 10-12 hours my hair starts to get greasy at the roots and my scalp starts to get that gross, unclean smell. Also, because it gets greasy at the roots it then loses its volume and what is left, is little to justify keeping the product since the whole point of shampoo is to clean your hair and instead I end up feeling dirty. I liked the smell so much that I even tried washing my hair first with a clarifying shampoo and then with the Ojon shampoo in the hopes that my hair would not go greasy, but no such luck. Even though my hair normally does start getting greasy after the 24 hour mark, I shouldn't have to feel the urge to wash my hair more than once a day. Sadly, I will be returning it.

This is the WORST smell....I cannot believe I tried this after using one of the leave ins years ago and thinking this would be different. I thought since this-being a shampoo- the smell would not linger and it would just wash away in the drain. I was wrong, my hair wreaked of the ojon scent I despise, cigarettes and peanuts....The smell is so strong I found it even clashed with my perfume. As for how it cleansed, I actually liked it, left my hair nice and manageable.....I returned this.

i have realllly thick, dry hair so i was excited to try this ojon line because i've heard great things about it. i bought the 'winter therapy' gift pack from sephora that included the shampoo, conditioner, glossing cream, and the restorative treatment.

i wouldn't spend the money on it again. it made my hair too oily - which i thought was something i'd never say in my life. i used to be able to wash my hair every other day without it looking gross or noticeably greasy. i have to shampoo/condition every day when i use this combo because after a day my roots get all greasy and its made my scalp peel so i have huge chunks of dandruff.

i do like the glossing cream though, if you use too much, again it contributes to the really greasy look. my hair is usually super puffy when i blow dry it after a shower so i just use smaller than a dime size drop and it seems to tame it a bit more than normal

I thought I would go all out and start a new hgair care regime. I have very dry hair and equally dry itchty scalp. My hair is natural. I have been using this for about 3 weeks now and I am 50/50 about this one. It does give my hair and scalp a good clean, but I do not find it the most hydrating shampoo that I have ever used, perhaps it improves on usage. Lovely smell. I bought a set off of QVC with this in and accompanying conditioner, revitalising mist and restorative treatment (also see reviews for those). Price worked out well for the four items.
