With a top coat, it's a really lovely colour and has a nice shimmer but it chips and flakes the same day even with a top coat. It's a pretty expensive polish so I'm really disappointed it's such poor quality.

This is a pretty color, but that's the only thing I like about it. It has a bit of shimmer to it. It chips fast, takes about 3 coats, and is just overall a pain to apply. If you like this color, find a color that is similar. Every time I go to apply it, I get really frustrated. Just not a very good polish.

I love the color of this polish but hate everything else about it. It is so streaky and it almost dries too fast to go on well. I know it is supposed to have a matte finish being a neon, but the finish on this is just really weird. You need three coats to get rid of the streaks, but then it starts to get kind of clumpy. I did two coats with flakies over it to smooth things out and give it a nice finish. It also chips really fast. I have chips the next day and I never have that with other polishes. I would skip this one.

THE. Nicest turquoise EVER. Beautiful. Definitely use a top coat for shine (Seche Vite). This look fabulous in photos, like when there's a candid of you hanging out with your friends, and your hand happens to be in the shot. LOL Nice.

Pretty summery color. Looks like it has very subtle flecks of glitter.
Matte finish (personally don't like)
Chips quickly, next day.
Takes about three coats to get the color in the bottle to appear.
I feel like for the price, it should last longer than a day before it chips. The bottle is cute and decent, but I'm not buying the polish because of the bottle. I want decent quality. I could have bought three bottles of Sinful Colors before I bought this one. And they last longer.

This is the best nail Polish I have ever used in terms of texture drying time and Matt finish.
Unfortunately my hands and fingers arnt the same colour as they were and most nail colours doesn't really look nice next to the color that my fingers are now.I've also had an issue with my nails changing shape from being small and round to long and rectangular except for one nail on one finger which is really weird so I have to avoid using shades that clash with my finger skin tone or draw attention to the unnatural shape of my nails.
This color was so wrong because it was neon I think it would look best next to very black or yellow skin tones without pink or red hues in them.
Drying time is very fast and because of the texture it doesn't drag and clump when you apply it unlike pretty much every other nail Polish brand I've ever used.the Matt finish is really nice it is much softer than the highly light reflecting gloss finish nail polishes which I don't really like and they only seem to look good on well moisturizer dark skinned peoples hands.
You can't get this brand in UK they only sell the high gloss type nail Polish so I ordered this on eBay and it was cheap compared to some of the cosmetic brands they sell here.
Since using this brand I got the idea to use a Matt finish cream eyeliner/eyeshadow product on my nails and paint a top coat of boujour so laque! In 13 rose lounge as the effect is a Matt color with a Pearl finish texture and is much more flattering than the high gloss bright colors they stock in the UK.the color I used underneath was shu uemura ME green painting liner which is a much more flattering Matt shade for people whose fingertips are turning pink.I know the eyeliner is expensive but if you use a make up brush to apply a very small amour goes a long way and the texture and finish is perfect with a variety of different colors for those looking to avoid the high gloss finish of nail polish in the UK.
I would buy China glaze products again just not this color and as they don't stock them in the UK it is difficult to know the exact shade before you buy because photographs arnt always a true reflection of what something looks like in realityalthough Im not sure why maybe a marketing ploy by the manufacturers?

2. Matt finish
1. Start to chip too fast! Less than one day.
2. Need at least 3 layers to make the surface of nails look smooth.

Good thing I purchased this polish at my local nail supply store, so I paid $4.50 instead of $7-$9 at other locations. Bad thing is I can't return it.
The color is beautiful, but that's the only positive thing about this polish. I applied this polish over a base coat. The first coat was super streaky, it was like water mixed with oil. It painted on patchy. Second coat was the same, but it evened it out a little bit. To get the right opacity, it took 4 coats. Another negative was the polish dried matte, but once I put on a top coat, it looked great.
Last con, it started to chip in less than 24 hours.
I expected more from China Glaze, I own many China Glaze polishes and this is really disappointing.

UPDATE: I am updating my review because I wore it out all weekend and I got soo many compliments! The girls I work with at the office really liked it, random strangers at this fair I attended this weekend loved it, there was even a vendor who I came back to just to purchase something and he was like oh she's back! The one with the turquoise nail polish. lol. So i gave this an extra lippie, but still deducting 1 because it chips like crazy. I though I had myself protected as I used a no chip base coat and top coat for this, but nope didn't help. Hey China Glaze, you really should re-launch this product and reformulate it NOT MATTE.
Yes I am one of those who didn't do their research when buying polish. Ulta was having a buy 2 get 1 free offer for China Glaze and I picked the colors that to me, were summery...who knew that the colors on the display were going to be different finishes...
Nope, didn't expect it to dry matte and didn't expect it to be soo green! I mean its really not turquoise, really its more like a brighter green. I wish I would have bought for Audrey or Refresh-mint, I know that those are a different color & doesn't compare but I would have been happy with those intead of this harsh green.

I am, once again, surprised by all the reviewers who are disgusted by the fact that this polish dries to a matte finish. Sigh. Do your research before you buy any polish, and that way it doesn't fail to live up to your expectations.
This polish definitely leans more green than blue on me, I find. It's a really gorgeous color with a nice, subtle shimmer in it, but I think turquoise is a bit of a misnomer. It's a blue-leaning green, but definitely green on me. I would say it actually dries a tiny bit more green on the nail compared to the bottle color.
As per usual with China Glaze, the brush was excellent at dispersing the polish and the bottle is nice and sturdy.
Application was a little odd. I wasn't sure exactly how thick a coat to use, so I used a very thin one on my first nail, which is standard as I generally use thin coats of polish out of personal preference. I wouldn't recommend this with this polish. I used two medium coats of polish for complete opacity. I suspect that if I had a light box, I would find patchy spots but it's definitely not visible to the naked eye, so I'm satisfied with the coverage. It went on pretty smooth and flowed where I wanted it to go as long as I used a light touch, which is pretty standard for matte polishes. Using more of a heavy hand caused the polish to drag a bit at the cuticles, so a light touch is best.
It does dry very quickly to a matte finish, a pretty unattractive matte finish at that in my opinion, but slapping on a topcoat solves that problem entirely.
I can't speak as to wear time as I've only had it on for about 45 minutes. I will edit. I suspect I will have major chipping within two days because most mattes do that, but I'll update.
Edit: yup, it's slightly over 12 hours later and I have major chipping on most of my fingers. Such a bummer, but I expected it so I'm not too upset. This color will be relegating to nail art here. I'm sure it'll be nice for dotting and striping and gradients, but for me it's out as a full mani. I won't buy it again, but that's mostly because I doubt I'll ever run out.
