First let me say, make sure you buy one with long experation date, i bought mine and it expires in 12/07, with such a big tub i dont think i will use it all by then =(. bought this at cvs BOGO 1/2 off. VERY rich and THICK creme! Turn the bottle upside down and the stuff wont even drip! I bought this since im using tazorac and my cheeks and nose area is super dry. Nothing helped my dryness before but this seems to help a bit more then other things i have tried out. I have not used this on my forehead area since i am not that dry there, and its the only place i break out at. Not sure if the richness will break me out, and i dont want to take the risk, especially if i dont need to. I use the creme mainly at night. Love it, when it expires i will buy another one but will make sure to look at the experation date a lot closer so i dont waste money. 17.99 regular price, which i find a bit expensive for a drugstore product. i guess compared to high end items that is 40+ with the same result its a decent price. The jar it comes in is ok for now since i just started the product, i can see later on when it gets kind of empty that it would be a pain to stick your finger in to get the creme out.

Holy moley is this stuff rich! I have very dry, sensitive skin that is pretty much flaking nonstop SOMEWHERE (usually my nose) all winter long. I have been a loyal fan of Korres Wild Rose cream for day and Korres Watercress cream for night throughout the year but come wintertime even using Watercress cream for daytime can't keep my flakies away through an entire workday. I have been curious about Lumene's skincare and this week's "buy 1 get 1 50%" offer at CVS (coupled with the fact I am tired of having to order Korres online) was all I needed to give it a shot. Energy Cocktail cream was labeled as being for "dry to extra dry" skin so I purchased it over Lumene's sensitive skin line, even though Energy Cockatail contains added fragrance which is often a no-no for my very sensitive skin. It has been about a week and so far no hives/other irritation so this cream seems like it will be okay in terms of allergies. The cream itself is very, very rich -- a semi-solid buttery texture at room temperature -- and comes in an attractive glass jar. I know a lot of ladies prefer their moisturizers to come in a pump bottle (don't like dipping their fingers into a jar) but there is no way this product could be packaged in a pump. The cream smells slightly fruity but it is a clean scent rather than a cloying one. Energy Cocktail is definitely NOT for any but the driest skins. It contains a lot of oil which is what I want in order to keep my skin moisturized, but if your skin makes its own oil then you would likely end up a greaseball if you used this cream. I have been using it mostly as a night cream but I have given it a few test runs during the day and despite the oil content it doesn't interfere with my tinted moisturizer or other makeup. This is an absolutely wonderful cream that I think is going to be a lifesaver for me this winter. I thank the ladies who reviewed it here... I probably never would have tried it without your positive remarks! ** Edited on 2/4/2008* -- I still absolutely love this cream! I have actually been using it during both day and night since the onset of cooler weather and my skin has never looked better. I have never in my life made it through the winter without terrible flakies on my nose until I started using this moisturizer. Once the weather warms up I will probably switch back to using this only at night (choosing instead to use Lumene's Tender Drops moisturizer during the day). I will gladly keep repurchasing Energy Cocktail for as long as Lumene makes it!

Love this cream...I already have a couple good day/night creams that I use(I really love Roc for a drugstore brand)but the Lumene line was on sale at the drugstore(buy one get another for 1 cent!). So I had to give this stuff a try and WOW i'm glad I did!!! I started to suffer from dryness to my skin. I put this stuff on and what a rich cream! Great for the winter. My skin feels so soft and looks dewy not oily. Worth every penny! I'm really impressed better than most department store brands! And for 1/2 the price = ) Will use this when I have periods of dryness and also in the winter months...

This is the companion to the drops - I bought both on a recent sale since I overdid it with at-home microdermabrasion & peels, which made my skin dry. It's wonderful over the drops but also great on its own - together they healed my skin in no time & I plan on using that combination in the dead of winter when mu skin is abused by the freezing cold & biting wind. It's a very rich, emollient cream that smells divine thanks to the Scandinavian berry extracts. I'm using it as a night cream although very dry complexions may like it for a day cream as well. With this kind of thing available in the drugstores, I wonder why anyone would pay hundreds of dollars for La Mer, etc.!
