I'm not sure why such good reviews. This is very generic and plain to me. The scent is an unidentifiable sweet scent that is just not too impressive. Formula is very slick.

I love this. I smell cake, cherry, a bit of lemon and bubblegum. Absolutely delicious and totally addictive. This is the first sweetened balm I have tried and it doesn't disappoint.
As always, the balm does a good enough job of moisturizing my lips.

Reminds me of strawberry frosting! The packaging is simple. The balm glides on smoothly and leaves a nice sheen on your lips. Very inexpensive as well.

This one is okay - I like it, it's a nice scent, I can see why it's so popular...but it wasn't my favorite. I actually really prefer the Pink Cake gloss version instead of the balm, because the scent is stronger and better in my opinion. I wouldn't repurchase only because MLS has over 400 flavors to choose from, so it's fun to try different ones.
EDIT: I actually ended up finishing the tube of this one, so I really did like it after I started using it more. I'm changing my rating from three lippies to five. And, I do think I will buy this flavor again someday.

the description on the site sounded so good i had to have it plus i was interested in trying one of brea's flavored (sweetened) lip balms. the smell is very nice, it smells so yummy and to me familiar (i haven't quite placed it yet though :)), her balms glide on smoothly and your lips have a slight sheen to them (but not oily), and i love how moisurizing they are. this one is sweetened, at first i thought it was too sweet but now i love it! i will definitely buy this one again!

All I can say is - yummy! This is the best lip balm in a tube, ever! It glides on very smoothly and doesn't dry out too fast. Even when it does wear off, it leaves your lips very supple and soft. I was so surprised when I touched my lips! It's not sticky at all and doesn't leave that waxy taste after a while, which is really a first!
I got this for USD$2.13 shipped and I live all the way in Singapore (Asia), so I'd say this is really a good price, especially for the quality of the lip balm. I rated a 4 for packaging - it's simple albeit functional. Just not really on the pretty side, so I guess it's not for the people who just wants a lip balm that looks good on the outside :P
I'd definitely buy this product again!

At first I thought - it's just vanilla - but THEN after a few more smooth glides - MMMMMMMMMM it was like a cherry frosting cake - yum!!!!!! I would definitely repurchase and I highly recommend this as a good first time buy for anyone wanting to try MLS. I gave this a 5 for packaging b/c I love the packaging - it's simple and functional - awesome. enough said.

This was my first MLS purchase and, at first, I wasn't so sure about it, kinda had a funky aftertaste to it. But now that I have been using it awhile, it has started to smell really great, and not taste bad at all. Smells sweet, sorta vanilla-ey, frosting, little bit of lemon and strawberry. Is very "slippery" feeling and doesn't last very long, but that's okay, it is so fun to apply because it smells so good!

This was an odd balm to me at first becasue I didn't smell/tate anything like the other people smelled. The first, overwhelmingly powerful thing I could smell was BUBBLEGUM! I could smell the cake/lemon/strawberry/whatever/etc. too, but I could smell the bubblegum more...perhaps bc I am NOT a bubblegum flavor fan. I asked Brea about it and she said I was a good sniffer, bc it INDEED does have "2 drops of bubblegum scent in every pink cake batch"!! However, as bizarre as I found the scent, I found myself oddly addicted to it. I realized it was the only balm I was reaching for after awhile. Now, I am totally hooked and so are all my friends!! I am not a person who normally likes super sweet things, but this is super sweet in an addictive, amazing way!!! The slightly odd combo of cakey, bubblegum, lemony scents (AND TASTE!) will leave you coming back for more!!! I just ordered another tube. :x

I like this balm. It's sweet, but not overly so. It smells just like a cupcake. You can smell the cake, the strawberry and the lemon. Sometimes the strawberry comes through stronger than the cake, but most times it's pretty equal. I would repurchase.

Pink Cake is pretty good. I do like it, but sometimes there's something a little off about it to me. Like the lemon scent is extra strong and bitter sometimes. I might buy it again if I want something sweet and cupcake-ish.
