LOVE. I use this as a leave-in and as my rinse-out conditioner as well. My hair is curly (3a or so) but also a bit fine and thin, and this product really strikes a balance between making your hair feel moisturized and supple without weighing it down. I think a big reason for its success is the inclusion of squalane (derived from olives, not animals, for those concerned!) which is a lipid that closely mimics your skin's natural sebum. I love this ingredient in lotions, and am pleasantly surprised to see it in a hair conditioner that is so reasonably-priced. It also does not contain any cetyl/stearyl alcohol, which is truly unique for a hair conditioner. My skin can tolerate this ingredient in small amounts in my facial skin care, but in hair products it tends to give me bumps along my shoulders. I recommend buying the smaller 10oz bottle to try it out if you're unsure!

I've heard about this products for years and finally sent for some. Everyone in my house tried it for a month. We four different hair types from slightly wavy to kinky curly. We were not impressed. so far the product that works best for us is. Giovani Smooth as silk.

So I got this because of all the rave reviews, plus I am a conditioner junkie. I'm relaxed and stretching so I thought this would be the one. No. It's just okay. Not to mention it has parabens. So not worth it.

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Only if you want silky, soft, shiny, hair should you buy this conditioner! Never have I found a conditioner that you can use a s a regular and a leave in and it works greayt both ways. The smoothness you get with this as a leave in is wonderful. You wont be able to stop touching your hair. No build up or sticky feeling while blow drying. It doesnt feel like you have anything in it. Just silky soft hair. Once its dry it feels even better.

I am on my 4th liter of this fabulous and well-priced conditioner. I have wavy hair which is very dry. I slather it on after shampooing. I can't see myself switching and I am a product wh*re.

This is the best conditioner! It is really cheap and works well as both a conditioner and a leave in product. I highly recommend it for those with curly hair like myself. My only gripe is that I have to order it online.

This is the only conditioner that I will continue to purchase again and again. It's the only conditioner that makes my kinky hair shiny, moisturized, and soft AFTER it has dried. It is wonderful for a no poo routine and can be used as a leave in as well. The only downside is that it's not easily available, but curlmart.com has made this bearable with their free shipping for orders $60 or more. I highly recommend this product.
Update...
This is now my second favorite. It has been replaced with a similar conditioner from its sister company (Kenra). The Kenra moisturizing condish has hydrolized wheat protein (a moisturizing and strengthening protein) in the same hexadecanol (cetyl alcohol) base. Both work very well.

Amazing conditioner for my thick 3b/c curly hair. I haven't used as a leave-in yet but I will. I always get it from curlmart and it's reasonabley priced.

I love, love, love this conditioner. It is heaven sent to my hair. Def. my new HG. This brings so much life into my 3c/4a type hair which tends to stay on the dry side. The product has a pleasant scent to it and is a great
leave-in. It also is a great detangler.
The only con I have is that this conditioner can only be purchased off of the internet. But I am hoping in the future that will change. The plus side to that is that I always purchase a liter for $20 and shipping is usually free or less than $5 bucks and it will last me about 6 months.
Update 2/2013:
This products makes my curls pop and keeps them hydrated and frizz free. This is a permanent staple for my hair as a rinse out conditioner, leave in, and deep condition. It's so versatile.

I've had problems with dryness when I use this product continously but if I add honey & my favorite oils it makes a great deep conditioner. It detangles great and is wonderful as a leave-in too.

I just bought my second bottle. This conditioner is definitely mosituring for my hair. I don't really have dry hair but I like to make sure that it's getting enough moisture since I tend to blow dry and straighten my hair after every wash. I also love the smell. This is definitely worth buying.

I've been using Elucence for about four years now. Although I may buy & try other conditioners, it's a rare day when I don't use this, either as a leave in or a "second" conditioner. I have yet to find *anything* that works as well. I've tried just about every conditioner under the sun, from drugstore to ridiculously expensive salon products. Elucence is the only conditioner that super moisturizes and detangles my 3c relaxed hair.
I love that it can do triple duty as a post-shampoo conditioner, a leave in, and as a styling agent (when mixed with a gel).
It also doesn't leave my hair feeling coated and smells divine.
The only drawback is that it has to be ordered online. Even the price is reasonable, considering its triple use.
My HG hands down.
TIP: Don't rinse this all the way out. I usually leave about 5% in my hair and then add just a touch to my ends before I blowdry.

My HG conditioner! I think I've been using this close to a year now and I absolutely love it. I use it pre-shampoo to detangle, as a rinse out, leave-in, co-wash…. for me it just doesn't get any better than this. I haven't found anything with better slip.
10/28/10 Edit - Not my HG anymore but I still love it :)

This is one of my HG conditioners. I use it as a co-wash (when I'm out of TJ's Nourish,) co-rinse and leave-in conditioner. It has great slip and allows me to detangle my BSL curly hair without much trouble. I also like the fact that it's a multi-purpose hair care item that saves space in my suitcase, whilst on the road (or air....) Smells nice - like Peach Schnapps. ;) Comes in 10 oz, 33 oz and 64 oz bottles. Only drawback... I have to buy it online!

I've used this product off and on for years. It works good as a rinse out but I've never been able to make it work as a leave-in. It smells good to me although I've heard of others that can't stand it. I love the shampoo...it smells like peaches. It's been another constant figure in my shower! I'm looking forward to trying their Clarifying shampoo at some point.

My hair is type 4a/b. I prefer this product as a quick rinse out conditioner or a leave-in. I prefer to use Kenra Moisturizing for a deep conditioner. I do like that it is quite moisturizing. I recommend trying the 10 ounce size for your first try. The elucence is great, I would love to be able to purchase this at a brick and mortar store instead of online. I use this in conjunction with Elucence Volume Clarifying Shampoo which is the best shampoo I own. The next best shampoo is the Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo. I will always order these.

The reviewer below is correct, this is a Kenra product -- and their products do not work for me. But I gave this a shot, and it did make my hair really soft, the smell is nice, the cost is great, but it made my ends look fuzzy - they didn't feel dry, but they looked pretty bad, with just one use. Plus I'm really sensitive, and this set off a hand allergy thing (I suspect it's the extracts), so no-go for me. Shame. For those who are looking for a silicone-free/low protein, it's definitely worth trying - I can see where it would work for many people.

I've been using this conditioner on my 4a hair for 3 years and I still love it. I've tried other brands but always ended up using this to correct the terrors created by the other stuff. This makes my hair nice and slippery (without silicone) so detangling is a breeze. I also use this as a leave in to great success. I used to use this as a DT but found something better. It's very moisturizing without being too thick. Other conditioners of comparable moisture are just too hard to distribute in my ultra curly hair. I buy the liter bottles which last forever since I only use about 2 quarter size dollops in my hair.

I LOVE this conditioner! The slip is amazing, and it's so moisturizing. I don't need much, only about 1 1/2 quarter sized globs. It's only $8.00 for a 10oz bottle which isn't too bad, but it lasts a long time. Plus, it smells like peaches!
