Great product that delivers results. This product instaneously gives my skin a beautiful glow and makes it look radiant. When I run out of this product and wait awhile until I buy it again, I automatically notice that my skin does not look as luminous, smooth and alive.
I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a healthy glow an perhaps bit of a lift if you need it. I don't have any wrinkles or sagging in my skin my I do have a problem with pore size and oily skin, and this product seems to improve the texture of my skin however I don't know how great it really is for oily skin.
The only downside of this product is the ridiculous price.

Most facial moisturizers are designed to keep water close to the skin. However, manufacturers claim that their product will eliminate wrinkles or penetrate several layers of skin. This is not correct and if often the largest cause of aging and wrinkled skin. Many people have the misconception that there is relationship between dry skin and wrinkles. It has been proven that a moisturizer will temporarily make wrinkles less apparent, but moisturizing your skin will not have any long-term effect on wrinkles. This is why a FACE FIRMING cream is important. I recommend the Made from Earth vitamin enhanced face firming serum – this is what I have been using for the last 6 months. It works great for me, and I see results.

I, being a mid 40 something woman, am always concerned with aging skin and Perricone plays on women of my age groups biggest fear-sagging skin. The word that reeled me in was "firming". For you 20 somethings that word probably doesn't mean a whole helluva lot, but for me and my girls it is HUGE. So is the pricetag of this stuff. I mean the cost is outrageous! I used it and did notice it kind of made my skin tingle but it also broke my skin out something terrible and I am talking cystic acne the likes of which I have not seen in many, many years. Maybe it works for some women, but for me it was an expensive nightmare. Lesson learned.

I fell for the Perricone PR: aging is the result of inflammation caused by actions you are manifesting as a result of your diet and lifestyle choices. Dr. Perricone promotes that aging is 60% genes 40% lifestyle, reasonable claim. That said, I'm not clear exactly how this product accomplishes anything other than making him wealthier. I voluntarily purchased and used two entire bottles of this and saw no measurable results. At the time I used this I was suffering from very red blotchy skin on my cheeks. I went to my dermatologist because I thought I must be suffering from rosacea, after all, I am of nordic heritage and rosacea is commonly referred to as "the curse of the celts". My dermatologist immediately determined that I did not have rosacea but red irritated skin most likely caused by surface blood vessels being irritated by inconsistant sunscreen use, harsh cleansing and cold weather. I began using cetaphil bar cleanser and aggressively moisturized and protected my skin. As a treat I purchased Face Firming Activator, thinking this would be the be all end all to my redness. The first two weeks it seemed to be doing something, my face was clearly not as red. I attributed the improvement to this product. By the bottom of the first bottle I was a convert. Then on to my second bottle I became less compliant and only used it when I didn't forget to. After that bottle ended I refused to spend over $100+ for this and stopped altogether. It was only then that I realized this did nothing at all for my skin. I think the brown pharmaceutical bottle and the unscented cream makes many women believe they are using something that is not a cosmetic and therefore more effacious. This product is gritty and not suitable for under makeup use. I did see a very slight reduction of redness initially but no face firming was ever observed here. I now exclusively use shopnbc.com Isomers products and can attest their effectiveness. The few other Perricone products I have used were from samples provided from Sephora and none of them impressed me enough to purchase.

Having just started the deluxe sample, I will come back to share results if I can. While I can feel some firming in my face, I do not know how it looks yet. Most importantly, I must comment that the smell is so rancid I can barely stifle the desire to wash it off immediately. --Dead fish is an apt comparison. The finishing lotion's overpowering floral scent just barely covers the smell enough to keep it on . . . for now. I don't know how long I can take this. ----------------------------Back again to say I couldn't hack the smell, I stopped using it after just a few days.

Maybe I'm not being fair: straight up I got three very generous samples from Sephora and have made them last about 2 weeks. I don't use any other Perricone products (duh--price!).
No discernible difference from my newly found Skin Effects products. None. Zip. Nada. I didn't know how $$$ this stuff cost until I read reviews. $120? Sorry, no way. I want great skin at 44 like the rest of the world. No way.
And the smell! Fishy is right. Like an infected fish left to rot in the sun.
Can't do it.

I've been using this as moisturizer over SK-ll serum for about a month. I find most moisturizers leave my skin feeling a bit tight and dry after a few hours and this combination seems to be working great. I will say neither of the products smells especially nice, however, the SK-ll smelling a bit petrol-like and the Perricone a bit like the Tide detergent my mother used to use. May up a lippie with time.

I originally recieved this as a deluxe sample from Sephora and it was the project that changed my life! I love the stuff. I was actually quite suprised to see so many negatives. Simply put, it left my skin glowing and it helped amazingly with the stubborn break outs that I am usually prone to. Perricone products in general have been a miracle for me. In terms of smell, I agree, it doesn't smell the best but I also haven't had the rancid smell in mine that some reviewers have mentioned. Maybe this varies depending on the shipment? Overall, it is one I recommend. The price tage is a bit hard to stomach but I am a total convert now. It worked when nothing else had so the $120 (ouch!) is worth it for me.

I cannot believe I have not reviewed this so far!
I am a fan of Perricone products since I discovered them a couple of years ago. I have been using the 2 oz. bottle during the autumn/winter months, as an a.m. treatments as directed, while in the evening I was putting another serum and the Super Restorative Cream (that I adore=).
Well, the Face Firming Activator works! It is easily absorbed, does not grease your skin. You can afterwards put any other treatment you like or just your SFP or foundation.
My skin has a better aspect after a few months of usage. It’s brighter, firmer, my discoloration is less evident. The only negative point about the Face Firming Activator is the smell...
I see from the reviews that other people had the same problem. I am very sensitive to odours (not fragrances, but I hate strong odours) and this product alas has it. It smells …fishy! in the very sense of the word (= like it was a fish).
And guess why?? Because it contains DMAE, a very potent antioxidant, that is extracted from…anchovies! Yep!! So that stink is – unfortunately – natural. And I noticed that is very mild when you first use it, and it tends to worsen with the weeks passing. I wish they could mask it somehow!
Can’t wait to try the Advance Face Firming Activator (I have bought it already, I just need to finish some other bottles that are hanging around!)… hope it smells better!!!

I've never tried this line before, but received a few samples from Sephora after the SA recommended it. I used it for about a week and didn't see any immediate results in my fine lines ore reducing my pores etc. Eventually, I broke out, so I stopped using it.
It does have a faint odour of fish - smells like dried shrimp.
It's also really expensive. Won't be trying again.

So, this is for the Advanced Face Firming Activator. Two weeks ago I went to Sephora to get my Beauty Insider sample bag, and a skincare expert was recruited to also go over my current regimen. I use 2 different Murad cleansers, a lot of PTR products, and various drugstore brands, and other exotic things I sometimes find at Marshall's or TJ Maxx (I didn't admit the DS or other brands to the SA, however!)
Anyway, I'm always looking for something new, and my skin isn't at all sensitive, so he directed me to this. Well, that night I started trying it (from a sample), and a day or two later told my DH that I was p****d that I'd ever gone in there, because it seemed like it was really working, and I did NOT want to spend $120! Well, I then got the idea to do a side-by-side comparison, and for several nights, used my usual rotation of products on the left side of my face, and this on the right (covered by my usual American Beauty Beauty Boost cream). Well, after several days, I can definitely say that there is NO difference in skin tone, pore size, firmness, etc. This may work, but so do all my other products, so I can safely avoid the $120 expenditure!
Perhaps with long-term use, this provides other effects, but this also has many of the same ingredients as Ecco Bella Night Renewal cream (which I had a sample of once, liked, and am waiting for an order to be delivered). I got the Ecco Bella on sale for about $27 for 2 ounces! Hmmm--what a dilemma--which to choose? $27 vs. $120! Anyway, I have a little of my Perricone sample left, and will do a comparison between it and the Ecco Bella later.
So, for anyone considering this, I'd definitely recommend getting a sample first, comparing it to whatever you're using, to see if, in the morning, there seems to be any difference! If you currently use ANY anti-aging products at all, I'm going to bet there won't be!

I have not had the odor problem that the previous poster had. However, I have not noticed any results so far with this product. I have been using it for approximately a month now, and have not seen anything major yet. I am slightly frustrated because I have heard and read such wonderful things about this. I will say that my skin feels softer - that is not a bad thing, but I expect more out of Perricone
***EDIT 3.31.08- I have been using for approximately 5 months now. I am a big fan. I found out that I was using this incorrectly - for best results, it really should be used during the day with the Concentrative Restorative Cream at night. After using the pair together, I have seen my skin even out, and my breakouts are almost nonexistent at this point. I am very happy with this!

Well, here's a dilemma: this serum makes my skin softer, smoother and tighter than anything I've ever used, but it STINKS of fish. Absolutely reeks - I have to block my nose whilst applying it, and then brush my teeth and rinse around my mouth afterwards so as not to sip on a glass of water and accidentally ingest some foul fish odour. I also avoid letting SO kiss me after applying, lest he come to associate me with that godawful stench. Ugh, it really is repulsive! I bought a brand new, 'Advanced' Face Firming Activator from Mecca Cosmetica (in Australia) and it doesn't expire til October 2009, so it's not off. There is no excuse for a product this expensive to smell this bad - surely they could have used something to negate it? I'm also using Perricone's Restorative Cream, and Face Finishing Moisuriser, and they smell fine.
Besides its malodorous qualities, the product works very well and I haven't experienced the oiliness of other users. I have normal/combination skin that tends to dehydrate and become oily by noon in the office, but when I wear this serum, beneath the moisturiser, Shiseido 55+ sunscreen and BE, my skin stays fresh and matte all day.
All in all, I'll keep using this until I find something that works as well and doesn't stink to high heaven.

I'm surprised the overall rating on this product is so low-- for me, this is one of those products that overwhelmingly, irrefutably works. I've started getting fine lines and this gets rid of them until I wash my face. I have combination, acne-prone skin although I'm often told that I have great skin. I'm not enamored of the smell or the price, but unless I find something cheaper that works, I'll be buying this.

I got the new version of Face Firming Activator in a TSV kit from QVC. This is the first time that I've actually used every item that comes in a kit. My skin is really starting to look so much better. I've been trying for a long time to find the right products that will help even out my skin tone and get rid of sun spots. I seriously have gone through several different beauty lines and none of them have given me the results that I have found with this particular kit. I'm very happy with the results!!

The acclaimed Dr. N. V. Perricone and I have been close for several years now - of course, he doesn't know this. I first discovered him on PBS (he's one convincing gentleman!) I made a purchase and loved it.
However, just like a wayward child I do have a tendency to stray, always eager to try the latest, the claims are amazing, the promises unbelievable, the packaging eye candy. But after my foray into the latest I always return to Dr. Perricone.
Thank goodness because his Advanced Face Firming Activator is amazing and unbelievable. No, I don't look 10 years younger but my skin is smoother and those tiny brown spots (sun spots not age spots!) have vanished. Pores are smaller (I don't miss those pesky ones around the nose), and skin is clear.
Now, I'd like to say I'll not wander off again, but I know I will and I'm also sure I'll be back!

Overpriced junk. So many irritating, pore-clogging ingredients. Dr. Perricone should be ashamed of himself. Also, doesn't do a thing for lines. A very expensive disappointment.
