This is great! It might feel abit sticky and dubious, and leave a strange sleek/sticky veil on your skin after (I skip night cream on nights that I use this), but it leaves your skin very smooth the day after! Thumbs up for being organic as well :)

I'm on my 2nd pot. I can't be doing with 'polishes' that don't feel like they are doing anything and like this as it IS very scubby & gives a thorough clean yet is not too harsh for my sensitive skin - could see how it might be if you used anything other than very gentle finger motion though.
Very natural, highly organic, short, pure ingredients list. Smells strongly of orange essential oil (no surprise there) which is not my favourite but it's refreshing and I haven't found it irritating to my skin which I did wonder about. Can't fault it other than orange not being my preferred oil & that's just subjective (would be 5/5 if less orangey, would have liked some honey aroma...I'm not getting the chocolate vibe of other reviewers at all!).
Might be worth knowing that because this is genuinely natural stuff, its shelf life is only 6 months. I found it lasted about right using it once/twice a week, but you could end up with a fair bit left if you didn't use regularly as you do not need to add much product to water to scrub whole face and neck.

Made my sensitive skin go red and blotchy for the whole day and it wouldn't go down either. Very embarrassing. It's smells amazing though.

If I saw this in a store, I'm not sure I would have purchased it due to the price. I mean, it's just a scrub, so how great can it be? But I was at a Neal's Yard "facial party" and of course had to buy something. (This is a new brand for alot of us in the US, where they just started direct selling Neil's Yard as "NYR Organics." I was pretty impressed with the stuff we tried and if I had no job and good network, I would probably sign up to sell it.)
Anyway, here is one case where I didn't have buyer's remorse after a home sales party! This is an awesome scrub! I was concerned about using it in the winter because I thought it could be drying due to the kaolin but my skin stayed balanced, not tight. Also, a little bit goes a long way. I scoop a small amount in my hand, add a little water, mix, then apply. Otherwise it's a little thick and falls off into the sink.

The kaolin in the scrub really helps draw out the crap off your skin. only thing i hate is the large sugar molecules. I tend to spready it on my face lightly and then carefully scrub. Myskni looks more refined after.

On the jar it says that this is suitable of all skin types but I think it is suitable for oily skin as it has orange, honey and kaolin in it.....these are good at removing oil from clogged pores and clearing skin. I have been leaning towards more natural stuff (e.g Witch Hazel as a toner) due to a really bad break-out. This has helped slough off the dry skin that occurred as a result of me drying out the spots. It also helped remove the oils and grime in the pores on my t-zone. It makes my face feel really soft, smooth and not tight. Other exfoliators tend to dry out my skin and then I over-produce oil to compensate.....this made using an exfoliator before makeup application impossible because of the oiliness! To use it, it must be scooped from the jar and mixed with a little water and then applied to the face. Well, herein lies the only problem......The grains seem to get everywhere and it is a bit hard to control where they go whilst applying and it is hard to remove with a washcloth! That's why it is only rated four. Although I would by this again as it is not that expensive for an amazing natural product! Oooh- and it didnt break my skin out even more which believe me is brilliant for my sensitive skin!

I had been looking around for a new scrub and dediced to try something more organically based and thought i would try this one. Over all i really like it, the smell isn't to sickly and it really makes my skin feel great once ive used it. The only thing i would hold against it is that it is not the easiest product to apply. The grains are rather large and getting the product into a good consistancy to put on your face is not the easiest thing to do (you have to add water to the product before applying it) UPDATE: I have moved this product up to a 5 rating becuase after using it now for a good number of months, my skin has never looked or felt better. This is deffinatly my HG scrub.

Holy Mother of God, I love this scrub. I've been using scrubs for 20 years, and I thought all they ever did was make your skin smooth. Which is cool, it's all I ever bought them for to be honest, but not only does this make my skin smooth, it makes it soft. The divine chocolate orange smell is such an improvement over my previous HG, Origins Dermabrasion, and it doesn't sting when I get it up my nose! Very easy to use, much less messy than Dermabrasion, and much more effective (for me anyway). I've been looking for more natural products, and throwing out all the yucky stuff. Glad to say I've found my new HG scrub. Highly recommended.

I really like this product and would buy it again. I use it daily and I don't find it harsh on my skin. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and clean. It is perfect for daily surface exfoliation. If you want something deeper I suggest you use REN's Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask once a week in addition.

I have always wanted to try something from Neals Yard and I needed a new exfoliator and chose this one. After using it for a few days I was really impressed, my skin felt smoother and so soft! I wish I used this product sooner, its improved my skin already and smells so delicious! The exfoliating grains are quite hard so make sure you scrub gently, but it does the job. I would really recommend this product, especially for people with oily/combination skin :)

This is the ultimate scrub. I've tried so many, both high street such as body shop and lush and premium brands such as chanel. you name it, I had been there.
I kept on using those because anyway scrubbing is necessary, but none so far had ever left my skin so really cleansed and renewed as this scrub did.
It might seem quite strong so you have to be careful, but it is definitely the best scrub out there.
do a mask after if and then moisturize, and in the morning you'll have the skin of a teenager :)

Great scrub- smells lovely, high-quality ingredients, economical, great packaging and MADE IN ENGLAND!
Age: 36-43 Skin: Combination Hair: Red Eyes: Green
I have to agree that this is an agressive scrub - especially for us sensitive skin types. I bought it because "ground rice grains" sounded nice and soft, but they are actually pretty chunky and sharp! The smell is divine, this fabulous real orange chocolate bliss, and the creamy texture is great once you mix it with water, but I also will be using this product on my body, not face.

Yikes!! Sensitive skin beware!!! This is way to harsh scrub. It reminds me of Aveda exfoliating scrub for BODY!! The grains are very tightly packed and harsh. If you like the sensation of scrubbed skin, buy this but for my sensitive skin, it felt RAW after a session of this…

I LOVE this product. Great packaging and really effective as a deeply exfoliating product. I can use it several times a week with no problems. Smells lovely and its a real pleasure to use. Leaves me really smooth and glowing.

I started using this after reading the reviews on here and I have to say i love it! I opened the jar to find the wonderful aroma of chocolate oranages, and immediately i was in love. The grains aren't harsh, nice and scrubby. After the rinsing stage, my skin was so soft and smooth, i didn't need to use any moisturiser. I woke up this morning to still find soft and smooth skin and i'm so pleased! Everyoen should use this i think, it's perfect for my oily/combination skin!

"An enriching scrub that effectively exfoliates and cleanses the skin.
Ground rice is responsible for the exfoliating action. Clay is added to draw impurites from the skin and Honey is added to preserve the moisture content of the skin. We minimise the amount of preservative that must be added to this product by making it with little water, so it must be mixed with water in the palm of the hand before using.
ground rice (organic), kaolin, aqua, sunflower oil (organic), propolis extract (organic), alcohol denat (organic), orange essential oil (organic), potassium sorbate, neroli oil organic
Orange - deeply cleansing. Removes dirt and dead skin cells. All edible ingredients.
Directions for use
Mix with a small amount of water in palm of hand. Massage lightly onto skin with a circular motion. Rinse off with warm water.
All skin types"
Scent is divine, leaves my skin silky smoothe in fact this scrub is so good that my boyfriend swiped mine and has been a dedicated user for the last 3 years. Love the glass jar too. I have oily skin that often gets congested and this is my HG face scrub. Out of all the Neal'd Yard products I love this the most and loose count how many jars of this I have repurchased over the years.
