it starts out very sharp- like sticking your head into a bag of cedar chips and inhaling. I always regret spraying it at first because it is so sharp and harsh for the first 10 minutes... But very soon it softens up to be a smooth sexy sultry incense-y scent and I just love it for the rest of the day!

I just joined the Kenzo bandwagon. I absolutely detest the orignal kenzo flower and the kenzo amour is just ok. I went to a fragrance event and a Kenzo rep insisted that I try this and at first it was a flat NO! She insisted that I wait it out and let it dry down and wow in about 10 minutes. . . it turned is this sensual sultry sexy deliciousness that says . . . "Come hither!" While I'm usually drawn to oriental scents I don't like them to be overly spicy or too woody. This is more of an incense with some powder to make it soft and "inviting". But disappointingly the staying power does not exist. Gotta fill a decant and take with me to touch-up. I also own Indian Holi and the Amour Florale (both are also yummy).

I remember trying the original flower by Kenzo some years ago and I wasnot impressed at all, so when I received this sample from a lovely MUAer, I wasnt expecting much from this either. It does definetely smell similar to the original, but this has the addition of some lovely sexy smokey incense which gives it an edge and makes it likeable to me. Notes are: Bulgarian rose, violet, vanilla, musk, Sichuan pepper, and Chinese incense and kyara (which I think is some form of oudh). I can smell all of these notes, except maybe the violet. The only thing Im not sure I like is the powderiness of the scent, its not overbearing but its definitely there and I'm not 100% sold on it. It's probably not something I will go out and buy but I will use up my sample happily.

I love Flower Oriental. The top notes are the same flowery, powdery notes of Kenzo Flower. After a few minutes there's the incense and woods and it smells so sultry. This would be a nice winter/fall frag for me. Long lasting and wears close to the skin. And of course, love the bottle.

Generally speaking Flower Oriental is similar to Flower, just as the LE Winter Flowers" is also "similar", but Flower Oriental is much more deeper, smokier and darker than the original scent.
I used Flower EdP and Le Parfum before and this one is my favourite. The Kyara wood incense smell is very distinct in the opening, dark charcoal accents and a cool smokey breeze is what i get first upon spraying it on my skin. It settles down to a sweeter, still woody (cedar?), powdery-vanilla skin-scent (slightly musky undertones) and is just as lasting as the original Flower EdP is.
What a loss that this one is so hard to find!

This is nothing but incense on me and... I like it! It smells rich, expensive (I mean it in a really good way), niche, luxe, ultra incensy... I liked the regular Flower perfume as one of the mainstream launches, it was a nice fragrance, I used to have a bottle of it, but with all of the other STUNNING perfumes it was just quite not there yet.... Now I sampled Flower Oriental and it's like the better, deeper, sexier sister of the first scent. This is going to be on my Christmas list. Two thumbs up!

I am not a fan of the original Flower, but I gave this one a try as incense is one of my favorite perfume notes. Some reviewers have commented that it is very similar to the original, but on me they are quite different. This is woody, incensey, but also feminine and soft. It is sexy in an unusual way, which is rare for a mainstream perfume. I don't really think of flowers when I wear this. The sillage is strong on me, and I have to be careful not to spray too much on. Bottle and packaging is gorgeous.

I've been on the fence with this scent, because it smells really good for a mainstream scent, but it's hard to find, and doesn't last too long. It has an incense scent, which I like, but not that really harsh kind sold out there. Some incense scents are too medicinal smelling, but not this one, it's softer, and more feminine, but too fleeting!!! I do wear Jungle Elephant, by Kenzo, and that is somewhat stronger.UPDATE: I bought a sealed bottle off of Ebay, and I thought I was going to really like it. Not so much. On me, it is powdery & kind of sweet, and maybe I'll like it somewhere down the line, but right now, not really...It's a pleasant fragrance, but for me, not enough punch. No one else smells it on me, and most of my scents that I wear, leave a trail, and everyone knows it's me. I will finish the bottle because it's not cheap. The drydown is nicer than the beginning for me. Nothing that would offend anyone else.

Well, I am a little ambivalent about this fragrance: I absolutely LOVE LOVE the smell of Flower Oriental. It's the most hugging, comforting, calming fragrance with a tiny bit of woodiness. I can't stop smelling my wrist when I wear it. Unfortunately, that's the only way others could smell it on me too: by sticking my wrist under their nose. When I actually did that they loved it. I step back and they can't tell I'm wearing a perfume at all, even after having sprayed myself 6-7 times.
What can I say? The best fragrance I've tried, if only it was stronger and lasted a bit. As it is now though, I wouldn't spend a dime on it.

On me Flower Oriental smells exactly like its namesake Flower edp. I smell violets, vanilla & rose. The only differences from Flower edp that I can smell is a sandelwood or smoky incense base. The lasting power is moderate on my skin, about 6 hours. It isn't strong & doesn't have a lot of sillage. It would be best to be worn in an intimate setting as, you'd have to be very close to someone to even smell it at all. This is very nice and nonoffensive, but doesn't have quite the pizazz that I'm looking for.

On me, a better name for this would be Dissappearing Act by Kenzo. I got this in swap in a glass decant. I was so sure I would love this, and I am really sad we did not work out. I used several drops on boths wrists, scent was completely gone within 10 minutes. Undetectable. At first sniff, it is very sublte, internal Oriental. I love that quality and hope to find it in another fragrance that works better for me. This one, sorry to say, was swapped immediately.

I love this fragrance! Let me explain why. Normally I wear two types of fragrance, oriental in the fall and winter and something lighter in the spring and summer. My winter favorite is Serge Lutens's Chergui, pretty incense intensive and sophisticated. In the summer my favorite is Hermes Un Jardin sur de Nil and that is truly delicious, light but w/a hint of drama. I receive compliments when I wear these. I do not like the flowery, fruity fragrance such as Escada puts out and don't like anything sweet. Flower Oriental is something that crosses the seasons since it's not heavy but still gives me that faint Oriental drift. I can see myself wearing this through all the seasons. Others I like are Flower Bomb, Her, Prada's Iris Infusion, Paris.

Sexy, Sexy, Sexy. Flower by Kenzo Oriental is absolutely sexy. I will admit I did not like the initial notes, as they reminded me of nail polish, but that was over very, very quickly. Then... oh wow, those heart and base notes won me over as it dried down. A very senaual scent, I'll be wearing this for a while. ...And these Kenzo bottles are stunning! This Flower Oriental bottle is very elegant! I've picked another winner for myself in Flower by Kenzo Oriental, and I'm very glad I tried it. Love it when that happens!

In the past I've tested Kenzo Flower Oriental but the tester bottle in the store was rancid, no wonder I hated it.
I am now testing a fresh decant that a friend shared with me, and I like it a lot.
Let me start by saying that I am very fond Kenzo Flower and Flower Le Parfum.
Flower Oriental starts out as powdery roses and violets, soft like the original Kenzo Flower, but has a bit dusty/smoky tone to it.
Once the dusty note fades (10 minutes) a beautiful warm incense comes to life and gives the fragrance a new deep and warm dimension.
I love the woodsy incensy dry-down. The incense really gives it a good kick. Can't stop smelling my wrist.

Flower Oriental is amazing! It's woodsy and deep without being overwhelming. It sits close to the skin and is very calming and peaceful. It starts out similar to the other Flower fragrances - a powdery rose and violet, but the incense comes out quickly. I liked Flower le Parfum a lot, considering I generally detest florals, but the incense in this version gives the fragrance the backbone it needed. I agree with the reviewer who said Flower Oriental is the link between sweet orientals (Flowerbomb, Ange ou Demon) and the deep, formidable incense scents (Comme des Garcons). It's perfect! And the bottle is elegant as well.

I got this for free in an Allure magazine giveaway and was hoping I would like it. I LOVE it!!! I don't wear it often because I don't want to use it all up, because it is pretty expensive (compared to other perfumes I buy). There isn't much to say that hasn't been said already about the scent, but it's really powerful (not in a bad way) and it calms me also.

Let me begin by saying that I love the bottle. As far as the perfume goes, I think it's nice. This fragrance is a soft, beautiful, sexy oriental that is calming to me and one I can use on a daily basis. The top notes are full of insense but once the soft musk and vanilla kick in, the fragrance becomes quite beautiful. I haven't been able to handle fully loaded sweet fragrances lately like Hanae Mori and Flowerbomb. Flower Oriental is the link between sweet, vanilla fragrances and intense, oriental fragrances. I used my whole sample this last week and now I can't wait to own it.
