I typically use my MAC Structural Brown paint as an eyeshadow base for those days when I'm going for a more natural look. The staying power is fantastic as I've never had any creasing issues. The pigmentation payoff is quite good as well, and it blends quite easily. I'm quite sad to see that it's discontinued, but a little goes a long way and it will be quite some time before my current tube is empty.

I love MAC paints! This color has been perfectly described down below: it's a warm rosy brown. It's the perfect color to swipe on with some mascara and run out the door. I haven't used this one as a base yet, but all MAC paints are amazing as bases.
A great MUAer suggested to unroll the bottom (it's rolled three times) and just squeeze very gently near the VERY end of the tube and you shouldn't have any "leakage". Once I learned this technique, I've never had the paints ooze.Try it!
I raided my local CCO and got 5 more colors (I'm going back to get the ones I missed). Paints and shadesticks are SOOOOO much better than paint pots.

This is my favourite paint right now. I wear it almost everyday. On me, structural brown is a medium rosy-brown that works very well with my cool skin tone. For reference, I am quite fair. It's gorgeous as an overall wash with Paula's Choice earthen gel line for a smoldering yet natural daytime look. It really brings out my blue eyes. I use this paint as a crease colour as well with bare canvas as highlighter. It provides a very polished professional look. This paint blends so easily, and wears well all day long, even on my oily eyelids.

DDD NW45 or HIP#818.....Structural Brown is a milk chocolate brown with a hint of rose/mauve. Very pretty as a base for warm pinks or rose shadows. Apply over HIP e/s base. Holds pigments & shadows in place all day. Pretty, Pretty, Pretty !!!!! UPDATE: L'Oreal HIP 'Witty' paint is similar shade just tad bit darker.

EDIT: a big BOO to you! 2nd time i used this, ended up with a mad eye infection! i'm ticked off about that = only 1 lippy for this paint. Here's my original review: Original review: Doesn't suit me much. Not the worst, but not the best neutral for me: just a smidgen too much rose/pink undertone showed up. i'm a cool-toned darker-skin CCC: NC42/45-ish or CoverFX I40/B15.

MAC Paints creased when I used them alone as an eyeshadow base. However, when layered over UDPP, they make fantastic bases b/c they really bring out the vibrancy of powder eyeshadows. There is a large color range in a variety of finishes. They have a thick, creamy consistency and come in an attractive 0.23 oz squeeze tube that, yes, does ooze out when initially opened. I avoid this by unfolding the other end and squeezing the tube to distribute the Paint evenly in the new space.
Structural Brown is a matte milk chocolate color that provides an excellent base to add another dimension to your normally boring brown eyeshadows.

Structural Brown is a slightly mauve-y medium brown. After some research and deciding MAC paints must be the perfect cream eyeshadow, I bought this shade online. I was disappointed at first - MAC describes paints as being reflective, but this was very matte. But even though it's not what I was looking for, it does look good on me (I have dark brown eyes and a tan complexion). It's nothing dramatic, just a soft, natural colour. What I love is that it's not just a base - it looks great all on its own, with just a slick of black mascara. I have no problem with the tube, and I'm really impressed by the texture and staying power of the paints.

I really wanted to love this paint. It's such a nice neutral pinky brown, but I found it makes me look tired in many lights. Strange because in the tube the color looks similar to Quarry which is one of my favorite shadows. I have very fair, cool-toned skin (Mac NC15). I think there's possibly too much pink in my eyelids to work with this paint, plus it's a bit dark for me, even applied sparingly. The warmer Architecture actually works better for me. I'll probably just wear SB at night now and then. However, I really think this paint would work for a lot of people. I'm waiting for MAC to come out with a paint like their Fresh Cement shadestick or Patina shadow -- now that would be a celebration.

I'm NC20 with green eyes. This shade is surprisingly rosy and mauve-y on me. I don't mind it, it was just not what I thought I was buying, so one lippie off for that. It's a great base for everyday but a little flat-looking if you don't use another shade for highlight. I like phloof, vex, shroom, vanilla, brule or deckchair pigment for this. Takes a darker crease well too -- like mulch or embark or moth brown. Overall great staying power like all the MAC paints I've tried and since it's a medium tone it's very easy to blend. With all my MAC paints I always roll the crimped end down one fold before I use it the first time, to avoid premature ejaculation of the paint. *hehe*

This is my new favorite for those running late, get ready in a hurry days. It's a slightly cooler neutral brown that looks great with my brown eyes & fair olive skin, much better than Naturalism which was too dirty-looking on me. The Paints are fantastic products either on their own or as bases for powders. I'm not crazy about the metal tube & really wish they'd use a recyclable plastic one, but the product is so good that I'll deal with it.

I was so happy to find that paints now come in fab matte neutrals! Brilliant for daytime use, just need to be light fingered with it.
