Okay, I used to HATE the smell of this lotion and I thought it was too runny, but I got desperate and needed something on my severely itchy dry legs. I used this stuff expecting a FAIL and instead... I am cured! I am so shocked. I guess because it is so runny it absorbs better. I still am not crazy about this scent in particular, but I don't have the others on hand to see if they work the same too. I hope so. I really like the purple stuff. That smells sooooo good.

Although this product smelt divine, it did not moisturise very well. I guess if you have oily skin or live in a hotter climate it might be nice to use, but definately not for dry or wintertime skin.

Avon tends to have a lot of sales going on online so I decided to follow the hype and purchase this lotion.. I liked it at first, but now I just can't wait to throw it away. VERY runny.. too runny. Watery. I remember my skin feeling very, very smooth when I first started using it but maybe my skin has tolerated now up to this point. I'd rather buy some Jergen's, or a different drugstore brand. Nice try, but will not re-purchase.

this is my HG lotion. luv the scent-sort of baby powdery and flowery but very soft. initially it has a strange feel upon application as it's a little thin, but wait about 5 minutes for it to absorb and your skin will feel like a combination of silk and velvet! i haven't found anything else that compares. luv, luv, luv this!

It's smooth....soft.....silky....it reminds me a Pablo Francisco comedy spot. Anyway, it is soft and silky, but it also is watery and inconsistant. I don't find it more moisturizing than, say, Lubriderm or Dove, and the smell is unique. It reminds me of old ladies and tupperware parties and plastic. There are so many things that smell so much better, or don't smell at all. My husband hates it and made me throw other products in this line away, he couldn't manage the smell of any of them. It's just a lotion, pink and pretty, but no more effective than anything else I use.

My absolute HG body lotion. I have dry skin with visible flakies on my legs (I know, eww) and nothing has worked on me but Avon SSS Soft and Sensual body lotion. I own 3 (count 'em 3!) and will continue to stock up on it whenever they're on sale. I usually snag them for $5.99 in a huge 32 oz. bottle. The scent is indeed soft and sensual. Very feminine with hints of roses and baby powder. It may not agree with everyone, but I like how it perfumes my body really well. The trick in getting the maximum penetration of emollients and humectants into your skin is to scrub your skin with a buff pad during the shower and applying the lotion directly after patting your skin dry. This method worked for getting rid of my flakies and scalies, but I had to use Walgreens Alpha Hydroxy cream to eliminate my Keratosis Pilaris and rough elbows and knees. I like how this lotion absorbs quickly into my skin. Most drugstore lotions leave a waxy residue that sit on top of my skin. It does take some getting used to with the texture of this lotion. I agree that it has a slightly runny consistency, but I still prefer this over thick lotions that fail to moisturize my skin. I definitely recommend this product for general moisturizing and conditioning and for the price, why not?!?!

I luv the smell!! Smells sooo good..but I don't like the product itself! It's very light, but it's too runny and after you put it on, it feels like it's kind of sticky. The scent doesn't last long either and it didn't even moisturize...at least during the winter it doesn't...it's good for summer cuz of the lightness. Thankfully I got this on sale..won't be buying it again!

I am not sure why others do not like this lotion... as a moisturizer it does sink into the skin well, feels powdery soft after application, and smells lovely. It has a light powdery and woodsy scent to it. I usually use St Ives or Vaseline lotion on my legs after shaving, but my legs have never felt softer than when I use this. My boyfriend cannot keep his hands off my legs after I use this... seriously he can tell when I use it and when I don't and even asks why I did not use it when I don't. I find the softness lasts all day too. My legs haven't looked better in several years! It is a bit runny and pink... easy to smooth on and does not require a large amount to cover well. My dermatologist recommended that I find a lotion with oils and shea for my dry skin, and this has it. All I know is I love it!
I paid less than 4 bucks for the bottle and will definitely repurchase!

I found this lotion felt quite greasy and took ages to absorb into my skin, even though it has a comparatively 'runny' consistency. I wasn't that fussed on the scent, which was a little overpowering. But most importantly, I didn't find it that moisturising! Would not repurchase.

I didnt really care for this. The smell is okay, but it is so heavy it did clash with my fragrance. Did not feel that it really moisturized my hands, either.

I bought this because I used to use SSS original lotion when I was younger, and I wanted to try it out again. I love the soft floral smell, and the lotion feels very nice and absorbs nicely on my body. Unfortunately, it dries out my hands and feels nasty on them. Very strange. I like the smell and consistency on my body though, and when it's on sale I will buy some more to keep on hand.
