Loved this sunscreen! I am using Retin-A so my skin is sensitive to burning and very dry. This sunscreen was so gentle and provided good moisture for my face. The smell was also amazing. Alas, the product has been discontinued. I tried Aveeno for Sensitive Skin and it burned my face. I have just purchased Lavera Sun 40 SPF Neutral. Will review when I have used.

I like that this is a natural sunscreen and I really hoped that this would work for me but it is just so thick and difficult to spread and way too greasy. Because it is hard to blend, it makes it look like I have a thin layer of white stuff spackled onto my skin.

An effective sunscreen, albeit very greasy. Even though it's only SPF 20 it provides a lot more protection than other sunscreens that are SPF 30+ because it is pure photostable mineral protection. However, it leaves a slick shine on your skin, which makes my hair oily if it gets caught on my sunscreened face.

I love this sunscreen. I've used aveeno sunscreen for the face as the reviews for aveeno said it wasn't so oily for the face but it was and i wasn't impressed and the smell was far from my liking.
So, I was browsing for something non chemical and came across this lovely sunscreen. It does have a smell that is quite strong but that doesn't bother me. At least I don't need to wear perfume =)
but..the texture is lovely...it does come out opaque and white and rubbed this all over my face and i looked a bit geisha like..LOL...
Doesn't bother me any...I looked a bit like, I had put some sort of foundation on my face without putting on any.
II liked the effect and didn't make my skin oily...maybe a tiny bit but nothing that powder can't fix.
I did put a lot on..and you're suppose to if you want any protection from the sun with any sunscreen you put on your face or body.
I have to say that I tend to be easily flushed especially on the cheeks, and this opaque sunscreen covers it up just great

Update: Overtime i have found that this makes my face oilier and its frustrating to powder my face to get rid of the oils. There are better sunscreen out there.

So oily on the skin. I also agree that it really takes too long time to dry. I like to apply makeup on top of my sunscreen and I do not have time to wait hours for this to dry. So because my face was so greasy I very often ended up using too much powder to get on with my color makeup application. I think I want to trash this.

i love this product as i cannot use chemical sunscreens on my skin as they cause unsightly and plain gross irritation and spots so its natural only for me! this has a lovely floral scent, a familiar Dr hauschka scent! its opaque and takes a while to work in properly but its worth it! i used this in June 2005, while on holiday in Morocco and it saved me from being burnt to a frazzle in the midday sun of Marrakesh! Its a rich consistency on the skin but this did not make my oily skin any worse nor cause any problems! get their stick too which is great on lips!

I like this sunscreen, even though it is a bit oily. It goes on slightly white, then turns clear on my skin. I will not buy it again or continue using it on my face though, because it contains lemon oil constituents (Linalool, Geraniol, Citral, Limonene, Citronellol) which can be phototoxic and it's just a killer for my melasma-prone skin. So basically instead of helping prevent that, I've noticed it caused my melasma color to deepen.I will use this on the body until I use up the tube, but will keep it away from the face.

Used the rest of my sample up and now reporting....on face too white, too greasy, the smell is quite overwhelming. It smells botanical, much like Aveda shampure scent. I don't like it much....

The cream goes on very white and is very sticky, tacky and doesn't quite dry. This is a problem for me as I usually dress after I put the stuff on my hands and arms and I feel like lint will stick to me. Since this is also SPF20 I doubt I'd ever purchase--the stick factor, smell issues, and low spf are conspiring against it.

I absolutely LOVE the herbal-rose scent of this sunscreen. Finally a sunscreen that doesn't remind me of beaches, but of a spa instead. Stay clear if you don't like the smell, as it lingers for hours.

This too way oily for face, so I use it on body only, usually on holiday or weekends when I'm out in the sun a lot and don't mind the oiliness so much. I'll be looking for a less oily sunscreen next time.

I love this sunscreen. The smell is not as bad as ppl describe it. Unlike other chemical products that has synthetic fragrances to make it smell nice, i prefer dr. H's sunscreen better. I understand why ppl think it's oily. This suncreen is suppose to contain natural oils such as jojoba, etc. They are good oils for your face. ((I use rose hip oil as my cream (note. i only use 1 drop of oil rub it on my palms than pat it on my face so it's very very light).)) Then I apply this sunscreen. I think the oily level is all fine. I do feel the oily feeling but it wasn't that bad, as long as my face don't look oily. My face is also whiter due to the sunblock minerals, which i also liked.

It is too oil for me. As a lot of reviewers say about this most of Dr. Hauschka day time products are too oily.
