Satin taupe is a beautiful shimmery, silvery, plum, taupe shade that is hard to describe. It goes great with many other colors and is good to swipe over other eye shadows to cool them down a bit. Recently I have been using satin taupe in my outer corner with naked lunch all over the lid. It blends like a dream and is very pigmented. Highly recommend this color.

Satin Taupe is a slivery brownish taupe shade. As many other reviewers have mentioned, it works wonders in the crease. I used it with other shades, but my favorite look with Satin Taupe is in the crease with Pink Bronze pigment on the lid.

i have this in the propan and bought it for roughly $22 at IMATS sydney, mac pro stand.
it pulls up a very dirty grey/mauve on my nc35 skin tone and i absolutely love this colour alone or even as a lid colour in a smokey eye. it is mid-toned- not too dark and not too light. it is pigmented and i dont notice too much fall out.
i pack this on using a paint pot underneath so i am unsure of the wear without one, but it doesnt fade for at least 8 hours if i have worn a paint pot. it does end up mixing with my oils from my lids and turning yucky but all eyeshadows do that on me.
there is no smell, and the texture is smooth and silky.

One of my favourite eye shadows. It's my 'lazy makeup day' go-to because it looks great by itself on the lid, but don't get me wrong it looks amazing with other colours. Sometimes I'll mix other colours with satin taupe because it is perfect for that, most recently I've mixed it with 'Star Violet' and 'Sable', other gorgeous colours from MAC.
I have brown eyes but my friend has blue eyes and it looks great on either colour!
It blends well, great pigment and just an overall gorgeous texture.
I will definitely purchase again - a recent favourite!

After 4 uses I gave Satin Taupe away. It's just far too cool-toned for my colouring and the colour itself looks so dull on my eyes, like I've got a bruise! It's a frosty plummy-brown, decently pigmented and to me, nothing special. I've learnt through a hell of a lot of trial and error what suits and doesn't suit me, and I most definitely wouldn't repurchase Satin Taupe.

This is such a versatile eyeshadow. It's also great on is own for everyday. You can really build up the intensity. I also like to use it on my crease with a lilac eyeshadow on the lid. On me this look like a true taupe. It's really beautiful!

Beautiful shade of cool metallic brown. Perfect for a metallic brown smokey eye, or softer for an everyday look. I am on my 3rd pot of this, and I love it! One of my HG staples.

I like this, but dont love it. Its a shimmery, neutral shade that can lean towards brown or plum depending on your undertones (cooler skin tones will show up more purple and vice versa) and shadow pairings. I like to use it in my crease as it adds definition and depth. I even use it in my inner crease when going for a darker look on my lid. I wish i could use it all over my lid but its a little too dark for me. Im not blown away but its a shadow worth experimenting with as it will be different for all skin tones.

This is a nice neutral eye shadow, that I use a lot at work on the days I don't have much time in the morning. It has decent pigmentation and lasting power. I just wish it were a bit more purple/ cold hued.
