I have combination skin and this moisturizer did nothing for it. With other moisturizer, my skin would feel dewy after ward. After putting this on, my skin does not feel any more moisturized than before. In fact, it left this weird dry greasy feeling that does not feel pleasant to touch. I have applied this many times, hoping it would somehow work this time and every time I'm left disappointed. It does not do its job as a moisturizer. It's a shame because it's cheap and seems to work for many others.

This is such a false advertised product. You'd assume that it would be rich & creamy but is actually almost like a gel type lotion. It absorbed really fast and then provided no real relief at all. My skin is norm to dry prone, no flakes or irritation just skin feeling a bit dry at times. I knew this was a low.cost product but I can't even seem to repurpose it, it is even too lite for my hands! I may add a wop of oil and try it as a foot cream or something? Thankfully this was only 4 dollars.

I just ran out of my Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer which i loved. However, I cannot afford spending almost 20 dollars every time i ran out, but if you can its definitely an awesome moisturizer! I saw on here that this St.Ives one got great reviews so i bought it today. I love the smell! I feel so clean and refreshed after applying it. My face used to be super oily and now I'm probably more combination skin. I feel really moisturized at first, but I add more of this moisturizer once it dries just to make sure my skin is fully hydrated because it still feels a little dry. But I think it is a good moisturizer for before applying makeup since it doesn't leave your skin oily. I love it!

I started using this cream about 2 weeks ago. I have very dry skin and a sensitivity to perfumes. I really like this, it absorbs quickly and doesn't feel greasy at all.
I took a picture for my FB profile the other day and I was amazed by how good my skin looked. I couldn't put my finger on what it was and then I remembered that I started using this cream!
Price is great and product works for me!

My sister is 6 years older than me and she started to see a huge difference by using it. Since her face GLOWED and she looked 24 again, I bought two for myself.
I love it! I put it in the morning and night (and anytime after I wash my face) because it works so well. My skin is tighter and more luminous after using it.
I noticed that the packaging of the one I bought is different than the one my sister has (in fl oz) and it was really hard to find it here in L.A., so I wonder if St. Yves is considering discontinuing because it is so good AND cheap!
I now apply it after I apply a serum on my face, but when I first bought it I used it by itself and, WOW, nice results.
I have been using for only a month, so now I only see my face more radiant. Since it has collagen, I am sure my fine lines will disappear some times soon, like my sister's did. Her face is much tighter, young and firmer and she has been using it for the past 6 months.

Most other products leave my face feeling oily and cause more breakouts, but this product does not. It goes on clean and leaves your skin feeling dewy, not smothered in product. Despite this being formulated for those with fine lines and wrinkles, I've found that it has drastically reduced my pore size and leaves my face very smooth and soft, without a trace of redness. This is the best moisturizer I've ever used.

I didnīt have big expectations about this moisturizer but I was tired of wasting my money in high end brands such as Biotherm, Clarins, Dior, Clinique without seeing any results that really surprised me, all of them just moisturized "ok" but nothing that impressed me. I tried also dermatoligist recomended brands such as Bioderma, Eucerin and La Roche Posay with the same "average" results. Since I was spending to much money for "just ok" results I decided to try a drugstore brand. After trying Lóreal and Olay I had the same experience: a simple moisturizer that didnīt do anything of what they say: no brightness improvement, no firmness, no fine lines reduced.... so I switch to the cheapest alternative, it couldnīt be any worse! I was surprised: this is a really good moisturizer, and when I apply it at night I wake up with my skin glowing, this last for ages but I have noticed that this makes my skin around my eyes and nose burn, so I won't repurchase.

Does any body else feel that they're skin is BURNING after you apply this?? I don't really have sensitive skin I can usually use what ever product really but I needed intense moister the other night and after a second I put it on my nose and mouth area, it started burning. It went away after a few minutes. Other than that, the price is good and the consistency is nice, has whipped feeling etc. etc. I wouldn't buy this again there are cheap moisturizers that won't burn my skin like this. I can't wait to finish using as a hand lotion just so I can lose sight of it.

This made my skin feel awesome everytime I put it on. Too bad it clogs my pores and makes my skin break out everytime I use it. And not just tiny little bumps, but big under the skin, cystic acne type bumps..which I never ever get. I continued to use it a couple of times just incase..and without fail it kept making my skin crazy.
I had read other reviews saying the saying the same thing...and have come to the conclusion that mineral oil is horrible for my skin.

I have used this facial moisturizer on and off for many years. I remember back when it came in the pink plastic jar! I have experimented with various products over the years but have come back to this one several times. I haven't actually checked the ingredients but the formula seems to be the same over the years from what I can tell. It still smells light and very slightly citrusy. I cannot stand facial products of any kind that smell strong (Coty Airspun Powder.... Pond's Dry Skin Cream.... Cornsilk Translucent Powder....etc.) The scent of this St. Ives product is light and very unoffensive to me. The texture of this product is jiggly and pudding-like and feels very light on my skin. It never feels heavy on my face, and I never feel like it's clogging my pores. Be careful not to apply this to your lips while rubbing it on your face -- it's bitter as heck! I have NO problem with the jar (as opposed to a pump or bottle) and find I rather like the jar actually. I'm applying this after showering or after washing my face, thus my hands are clean. Plus I'm the only one sticking my fingers in the jar. On product performance, my skin feels firm and clean and my pores even seem tighter. Maybe my skin in general has become less oily as I have gotten older but I never get the afternoon greasies these days, and I never feel like this lotion is too heavy. I definitely need moisturizer every time I wash my face and this one is the perfect level of moisturizing for me. I feel that it absorbs quickly and leaves my face feeling fresh, firm, and toned. I just bought a new jar yesterday as I am running low on my current jar and things have been working so perfectly that I plan to use this product until it proves otherwise. The price point is very good too, so I will continue to use this as long as I can.

Uh how can I be moisturizing my face and my face getting drier? Is it the fragrance? Oh well. It was cheap and it is good on the hands.
I do like that it absorbs well. But that is the only redeeming quality.

I used to use this back in the day and when I was a teenager and didn't have much noney to spend on beauty products. The packaging has changed a bit.
I had been using olay and the moved onto a burt's bees moisturizer. Money is a bit tight, so I saw this in the store and that I would give it a try since it was just a little over $5 for a huge tub.
I used it for two days and now I have brokwn out and BAD!
I have two huge pimples. One on my forehead and the other by my eye.
I also have a bunch of little white heads all over my face and I never break out. Not happy w/ this at all. Will not buy again!! Maybe I will use it on my hands...I don't know, but I have never broken out this fast, or this bad from anything.
If it works for you then...great, but it does not work for me.
And the packaging is not vert sanitary.

I bought this on Thursday and it's now Saturday. When I first used it I immediately noticed that my skin looked really smooth and nice. The next day I noticed a dry patched but attributed it to the neutrogena spot treatment for a pimple. I washed my face and then only applied this moisturizer and woke up with a few dry patches. This has been the only product I've changed in my routine and I've never gotten dry patches with my combo skin. I'm going to try it out for a few more days and update.

I got this because it was on sale for a great price and couldnt pass it up. I think this is a decent moisturizer, but it burns my sensitive skin a little bit. I ended up giving it to my hubby. I think though that this would be good for someone who doesnt have sensitive skin like me. It does have a perfumey smell to it and thats why it didnt work for me. Any products that are heavily scented are not good for us sensitive gals!!

The lotion of the same name is so moisturizing. The smell of the lotion started to get on my nerves so since this is lighter smelling I thought i'd give it a try. I figured that it was a cream os it would be thicker than the lotion. Instead it's thinner. Goes on really well but unfortunately 2 minutes after I applied it to my face it felt dry again so I reallied. 2 minutes after that it felt dry again. My immediate conclusion is that it does absolutely nothing for dry sik and the collagen is way down there on the list of ingredients so it's really negligible. I like the smell of it. Other than that it's another cheap crap product that's useless for dry dry and sensitive skinned people.

Love this moisturizer! I have used many others over the years (I don't know why!) and continue to go back to St. Ives! I have VERY dry skin, and this moisturizer leaves my skin feeling extremely soft, smooth, and hydrated. I use it daily prior to makeup and nightly before bed!

While certainly not the best moisturizer for drier skin types, this is still a wonderful facial lotion that has a whipped, light consistency and it easily absorbed into the skin. There is much controversy as to whether or not hydrolyzed collagen even works, and most scientists say it's impossible for it to reach every layer of the skin's epidermis. I'm not a scientist, so I can't say without a shadow of a doubt whether it works or it doesn't (and ya know, maybe they can't either), but I have only had good experiences when using this moisturizer. It's light, feels refreshing, and does make my skin look more supple. It unfortunately does nothing in terms of toning & nurturing skin, which is definitely important for a night cream, but this is a day cream, and a decent one at that. I would repurchase, but I don't think that will be anytime soon (very big tub for very little $$$$)!

This works really well for my dry skin. I use it in the morning and the evening and so far this is the best facial moisturizer I've used. Also, its great because you get a lot of it for such a cheap price!
