Acier Aluminium

Notes: bergamot, spice, fruits, ambergris and vanilla.

This fragrance opens with a light citrus note intertwined with a weird fruit accord. This melange of notes is supposedly banana, but only with a lot of imagination do I see the creamy sweetness of the tropical fruit. At best the banana aroma can be described as very synthetic, like the flavour of those banana-shaped chocolates with creamy fruit filling. The scent finds itself after roughly half an hour: a woodsy base blends rather well with the creamy fruit accord which more and more resembles banana. Amber provides extra sweetness and smoothness, whereas citrus adds a touch of tartness. Spices emerge in the mid-development and add an interesting contrast to the fruity main accord. They keep the fragrance from being too bland and straight gourmand. This Creed vaguely reminds me of Ambre Gris by Balmain, especially during its middle and last stages: they both share smooth vanilla and salty amber, but while Ambre Gris focuses more on lemon and vanilla, Acier Aluminium focuses more on banana and other tropical fruit. The dry down is pure vanilla and amber, but it lacks the depth of its distant cousin Ambre Gris. I’d wear this fun scent in winter and early spring. Lasts four hours on my skin.

A cold fragrance as the name suggests! It smells and dries down to how the opening and heart notes of Mitsouko is on my skin. AA is far too masculine for me.

I love this!! It such a unique fragrance -- it opens up very metallic, hence the aluminum and then the drydown is so sensuous!! It has a sweetness similar to sweetgrass along with vanilla and faint fruits. This was a complete surprise to me, as I didn't expect to really like something called Acier Aluminum!!!

wow, what a weird scent. When I sprayed this on the tester card it stinks, really bad. I read the previous reviews and mentally noted this was the only Creed with a 100%, unheard of for makeupalley. I thought perhaps this was a cruel joke. I mean this stuff smells awful on the tester cards, I sampled this on the tester cards no less than 5 seperate times on trips to Saks (during the xmas holiday). I finally shrugged my shoulders and thought what the heck? I sprayed it on my wrist and continued to shop. What a difference body chemistry makes! It starts off sharp and pungent (eww gross, I know) then waited another 30 seconds or so, and smelled again. It transformed immediately! I was shocked!!!! It smells orangey/citrusy, musky, and tangy w/an undercurrant of fresh earth. Then it changes after @ an hour or so to creamy, decadant, and yet still retains the scent of fresh earth. It smells sweet, yet not gormaund. It smells like the previous review of a fresh floral garden! However I cannot decipher what the floral arrangement would be. This is my new favorite scent! I'm going to wear this everyday! I've decided to abandon my Creed Ambre Cannalle and my Tom Ford Black Orchid. I love this fragrance. Its practically undeciperable perfection!

I've never seen the northern lights, only on film or photos. But I imagine them to be beautiful, wondrous, ever-changing dances of rainbow coloured veils or gossamer shades of colour and light weaving over the night sky in achingly beautiful, unexpected patterns. I never thought the beauty of my imagined northern lights could be translated into scent, but here it is: Acier Aluminium. A whole garden in full bloom, where irrational little breezes bring bursts of scent from the fragrant blossoms around in a dance of unexpected, surprising patterns interwoven with the sound and smell of water in a zen-like, stainless steel water-feature. An imagined garden under imagined northern lights. Who could possibly want to leave it?

One of Creeds most complex, outstanding and under-rated fragrances. The top notes are reminiscent of Feuille Verte - sharp, spicy and a bit lemony. They then recede to create the way for one of most sensual ambery drydowns (with a hint of ambegris) around. The sharp contrast between the top notes and the basenotes is intoxicating and are what makes this offering from Creed very special. The sillage is perfect and longevity is high. I am on my way to procuring a bottle of this masterpiece !

My absolute favorite scent right now on a man or a woman. Its complex but there is a vanilla creamyness that keeps it from being overwhelming. At the same time, you don't smell like desert, you just smell incredible sexy. This is the kind of scent that makes me want to be ravished (or do the ravishing). If you can describe a scent as a sound, this is a purr.

Creed. How to do they do it? This fragrance is elegant, erotic, and classy all simultaneously. It makes Gucci's Envy look mild by comparison. Above all, the scent is simply pleasant. I can smell vanilla sometimes.. other times, I smell a sweet fruity smell mixed with elegant men's cologne in between. The cologne is truly sexy, but classy. It's one of the best Creeds out there, but it's expensive, in my opinion. It's not an everyday cologne like Boss Bottled or Creed's GIT, because it's so upscale, so elegant, and so pricey. Highly recommended. Best Creed scent, to me, yet.

This is my favorite creed scent.
First it is powerfull and intoxicating.

It smells very oriental:it begins in a citrusy smell then it is fruity(i guess it is apple, but i am not sure) with spices, and a drydown of vanilla and amber...

When it becomes less powerfull, that's such a beautiful dream come true, a pure dandy scent,so charming, conforting and sensual.
In its spirit,i compare it to HABIT ROUGE edt by Guerlain.

Highly recommanded.

This is one of the most gorgeous perfumes in my collection of finest perfumes. I agree with the previous review - the creator is not without a sense of humor...The sales associate knew that I loved rich, warm, vanilla/amber/fruity- type scents and she was actually very very sceptical when I decided to try on this oddly named concoction. Maybe she did not know the product that well, as she said: "This is a very weird perfume, smells like aluminium, or steel or something strange...Even the bottle looks ...so steely and gray.." Well, I tried this baby and I could not stop smelling myself. I bought it right then and there and enjoyed the compliments of my family and my husband right that night - quite a big deal for me, as my mom is allergic to perfumes. Don't get me wrong, though - like every complex creation it needs its time to unfold, to betray its treasures; it will not "give up" that easily, as it opens up with almost sour smell of wet metal. Give it 5 minutes. The perfume starts revealing its gorgeous, aromatic, warm, sensuous and almost decadent nature. I am not sure what it is - either the ambergirs, vanilla, fruits or spices, or - more likely - the seamless fusion of all those ingredients that creates this olfactory symphony. When I wear this perfume I feel like one of those impossibly chic Parisian women that you see in some impossibly trendy and dainty boutique in Saint-Germaine; one of those women with a certain something that makes you remember them forever. When I put on this scent, I don't want to get angry at the those cutting me off in a traffic and I don't want to nag my husband about insignificant small stuff; I want to be so impossibly elegant, happy, carefree and radiant; I abandon my insecurities and I call my stylist for deep conditioning/hair gloss treatment. THAT is the power of THE GREAT perfume - to make you feel like your best self and to make you want to be your very best self. This perfume is definitely a sleeper hit in the Creed collection (which, actually, makes me happy hehe), and it traverses into a realm of those life-changing, mood-altering, spirit-heightening kinds of elixirs. Thank you, Creed.

Acier Aluminium. Steel aluminum...grey, dark, sober, hard edged, not sensual, very masculine. There is humor in the unexpected. My only guess is that the perfumer thought it would be wildly hilarious to name a warm, spicy, fruity, vanilla, amber scent Acier Aluminium. So you'll miss out on a lot of customers who might not be interested in that sort of steely sounding scent...why should a crass interest in marketing and making money be more important than humor? Well, I agree in theory, but it kept me from trying this amazingly gorgeous scent for far too long. Yes, slight grudge on my part. This is an incredibly rich, sensual unisex scent that deserves far more attention than it gets. Extremely sexy.
